Myths Reawakened-Chapter 260 (2): Don’t Look Back, Wayne. It’s Senior
After learning the new magic, Kristen tried to transform and discovered that there was a large gap between her elf form and Wayne’s, and she couldn’t sense nature. She humbly sought him out for guidance.
“It’s simple. You can sense nature through me. Once you get a feel of it, you’ll be able to do it yourself.”
Wayne held her, using her as a medium to communicate with nature, letting her observe and learn from him.
The result was lackluster since Kristen was too busy staring at him.
The two breathtakingly beautiful elves embraced, surrounded by nature’s colorful energy. The earth’s pulse, the wind’s whispers, and the fire elements’ chatter all sounded incredibly pleasant in this moment.
Kristen felt blessed—nature approved of their union.
“Don’t get distracted. When you’re my teacher, you often scold me and tell me to listen attentively rather than staring at you and daydreaming. How is that when you’re the student, you’re only staring at your teacher rather than studying properly?”
Wayne patted her bottom, leaning down to bite her lip.
“Teacher Wayne, please restrain yourself...”
“Ah!”
In the dining room on the first floor, Veryl glanced at his pocket watch. After a moment of consideration, he told the maids not to wait any longer.
Master and Mistress Kristen had important matters to discuss. Cancel the lunch and begin preparing for afternoon tea.
The snacks should be nourishing—for both the master and the mistress.

June third.
Kristen stood by the window with a faint smile on her face, watching Wayne practice dragon-slaying swordsmanship in the garden.
Her wardrobe and personal belongings had all been moved into the master bedroom, securing her position as the mistress of the household. Her stance was unshakeable and solid like a fortress, fearing no challenge.
Right now, she hoped that Veronica would come and visit her home. As for Vera... Vera wasn’t much of a threat as Wayne’s friend.
Speaking of Vera, Vera was here.
Kristen spotted the blonde hair from a distance as Vera tiptoed her way to Wayne. Valkyrie, the knight armor set, sheathed her sword. After sparring with Wayne, she realized that she had nothing to teach him as far as sword techniques went. He would have to hone his technique through personal experience going forward.
With a wooden sword in hand, Wayne sensed someone approaching him from behind. Pretending not to notice, he continued to ask Valkyrie for advice on how to respond to sword techniques and counterattack.
Vera made a shushing gesture at Valkyrie. When Wayne seemed completely unguarded, she charged at him boobily and latched onto his back, covering his eyes.
“Don’t look back, Wayne. I’m Senior.”
Impossible, Senior’s watching us from upstairs!
Wayne swallowed the comment and shook the mysterious person on his back. He said honestly, “You can’t be her. Senior isn’t this small.”
“Then I’m Veronica.”
“Veronica isn’t this big.”
Wayne lowered his wooden sword and pried away the hands covering his eyes, turning around to meet Vera’s beaming face. “I knew it was you.”
Kristen stared at them.
You sure know our size differences well. (눈_눈)
“Wayne, I missed you so much! Did you bring me any gifts?” Vera threw herself into his arms, nuzzling him. Her way of expressing longing was simple and direct, just as usual.
Valkyrie shook her head slightly. Students at this age couldn’t think about anything but love—she was only talking about Vera, not Wayne. Wayne was juggling two or possibly more relationships. Such selfish behavior couldn’t be called love.
She was a little disappointed. His behavior was far from chivalrous. Even if he earned her recognition, it would be unlikely for him to become the chosen knight. Her high hopes for him would come to nothing.
Fortunately, he could still be a successor of the dragon-slaying swordsmanship. He was an excellent student even if he couldn’t become the chosen knight.
Seeing Vera chattering away with eyes only for Wayne, Valkyrie made a gesture to signify the end of today’s lesson. They should move their flirting somewhere other than the garden. She found it irritating to watch.
“Vera, I’ve had a thrilling and exciting trip and prepared lots of gifts for you. Let’s go inside and talk. I’ll take a bath first.” Wayne walked ahead, accepting the towel Veryl handed him to wipe away nonexistent sweat.
Vera nodded repeatedly and hopped around him like a cheerful sparrow.
In the master bedroom, Wayne took the change of clothes Kristen handed him and entered the bathroom. Vera tilted her head, looking at Kristen, who was dressed in only a bathrobe, and then at the vanity table that hadn’t been there before. Her heart sank.
“Sorry, Vera, I didn’t know you were coming, so I haven’t gotten changed.” Kristen opened the wardrobe unhesitatingly and selected a casual long dress, speaking with a smile. “Could you step out for a moment? I’ll get changed quickly.”
Vera didn’t say anything. Droplets of tears fell as she lowered her head.
Kristen’s smile stiffened. She told herself not to show mercy now. She had to be ruthless and decisive, or trouble would follow.
Ten seconds later, Kristen sighed. She lowered the dress and hurried up to her. “Don’t be sad. I was teasing you. I stuffed the clothes in the closet on purpose. The vanity, too. It’s only a joke.”
Vera wouldn’t listen, crying even harder.
Kristen knew that Vera was partly acting, but she still couldn’t harden her heart. Resigned, she hugged her friend and consoled her.
Vera buried her face in Kristen’s chest, thinking about how treacherous human hearts were. She had lost this battle fair and square. If she were Wayne, she would fall for someone like Senior Kristen, too.
She was beautiful and had a great figure, but most importantly, she was gentle, generous, and caring.
You’re too kind, Senior. You can’t handle this man. Let me do it instead!
Vera secretly gritted her teeth. Under Kristen’s consoling, she stopped crying and said pitifully, “Senior, please don’t joke like that next time. You promised me that you wouldn’t fall for Wayne.”
Did I? Kristen thought about it, and she believed she had said that, but...
That was all in the past. Only losers dwelt on the past, while winners looked forward. She advised Vera to pull herself together. The world was wonderful. There was no shortage of eligible young men with two legs.
The pair chatted some more as besties. One spoke in a roundabout way to avoid hurting her friend, while the other played dumb and ignorant.
Wayne walked out of the bathroom in a white shirt, looking fresh. Running his fingers through his damp hair, he said, “Vera, the gifts are... Huh, where are the gifts in the corner?”
“I’ll get them.” Kristen hurried out of the master bedroom in quiet steps. She had moved everything to Vera’s room, but saying that now wouldn’t be appropriate. Vera would definitely be upset.
Vera came up to Wayne, blinking her still red eyes. She spoke in a nasally voice, “Wayne, did you sleep with Senior?”
“I did,” Wayne readily admitted. Vera’s heart sank, thinking he had made his choice. She hesitantly asked, “Then... what about Veronica? Does she know?”
“No, and I’ve slept with her, too.”
“That...”
The pervert looked too serious to be lying, baffling Vera. All the questions in her head ultimately translated into one question: why, when she had called dibs on him in the beginning?
“And you...” Wayne leaned down to speak into her ear. “You’ll be the next. Since the three of you have entered my detective agency, none of you is running away. I want all of you.”
Vera’s cheeks flushed slightly, feeling a bloom of joy. While his words sounded like a dramatic confession, though, it was actually dogshit, nothing to be happy about.
She should give up!
She would withdraw now and congratulate Veronica and Senior Kristen, watching them fight with protruding bellies...
Wait, there’s a chance!
Vera’s eyes glinted, discovering a chance she could exploit. Thinking again, though, she had already lost, and clinging desperately to Wayne would only make her seem unreasonable and brain-dead. She would not only lose him, but Veronica and Kristen, too.
She tilted her head left and right. She wanted to fight, but couldn’t bear to lose her friendship. She wanted to withdraw, but couldn’t bear to lose Wayne.
She wanted both the man and her sisters!
Moreover, the thought process left her increasingly angry. Again, she had called dibs. She was the one who fell for Wayne at first sight. Why should she swallow her pride and sacrifice herself?
She had never hidden her feelings, wearing her heart on her sleeve. Veronica and Kristen were the ones who stole Wayne from her with no consideration of their friendship!
“Don’t overthink it. Just hold your ground. I’m going to pursue you.” Wayne patted her on the shoulder. She didn’t have to throw herself at him; he would take the initiative.
Vera listened in confusion. She said hesitantly, “Can’t you just choose one? This... this isn’t right.”
“I’ve already slept with them. If I cut them off now, I’d be worse than an animal!”
Then you shouldn’t have slept with them to begin with!
Vera shook her head. After a long while, she handed over the initiative. “If you want all of us, go ahead and pursue me. I’ll make it clear upfront, though. I’m not Veronica or Senior. I’m not as easy to fool as they are.”
“Don’t worry. I’m good at fooling girls. I won’t leave you single.”
Vera fell silent.

I don’t want to be in a quad, either!
