Chapter 101: Chapter One Hundred And One: Call 911!

Tomorrow town.

Wintergreene Family House.

~~~
"Seriously George? You can’t expect me to go to them, and apologize just because of some silly confession from Zoe because she’s scared." Naomi Wintergreene, reacted to her husband’s words. Since after that day Zoe had pulled such a ridiculous act, that scared the hell out of the both of them. Her husband has been acting like a sissy.
Yeah, she knew and understood that what her daughter did was something that could land her in jail. She accused someone falsely of what she didn’t do, but that doesn’t change the fact that the damage has been done, and the after effect was affecting both families.
She lost her sister.
While they lost their child, but it’s not like she’s dead. Although she prayed that she is, since there’s nothing on earth that could convince the hot headed Naomi that Narika wasn’t the one that killed her sister.
But here she was, instead of being the one who should be consoled for suffering from a loss. Her husband was expecting her to put a smile on her face, forget about what they did to Morgana and go and send her condolences towards the daughter.
That’s not happening, it’s definitely not happening!
"Naomi, that is the right thing to do. Zoe has confessed that Narika has nothing to do with your sister’s death." George said frustratingly, as he pushed his glasses up to his eyes to watch the dramatic Naomi trying to act like the innocent person here, while it’s obvious that they aren’t innocent.
"Based on what evidence?" She asked, folding her arms as she looked outside their door briefly to see that Zoe was standing beside the door and was hearing their conversation." Why would you believe the words of Zoe, when you know how shocked she is about Narika’s disappearance? That’s just her mind trying to play guilty for what isn’t her fault."
Yeah, she should be there and listen to the rubbish that her father was saying. Although, she’s still angry at her for going back to Narika’s place, trying to apologize when she did nothing wrong, only to come back with the news that Narika was gone because of her.
The guts of Marya, that Indian goat to think that she had the right to pin any blame on her child, when she did nothing wrong.
"Okay fine, continue being so selfish about this. I’m going straight to the cops to report that Narika is innocent." George says, trying to grab his car keys, but Naomi rushed over to him.
"You will do no such thing!" She screeched, taking the car keys from the table even before his hands could reach it." What has gotten into you? Why can’t you stand for your family and siding with that wench? Her daughter killed my sister!"
While this was going on, Zoe couldn’t help but not feel drained every single day that passed. She was the cause of everything, and there’s nothing anyone could tell her. Not even her father who had been trying her best to get out of the guilt era she was in.
"You have gone crazy, woman." George said, highing his voice as he was sick and tired of this being the main drama that has been going on in his family, for a month now.
He has expected her to shut up after his words, but it seems Naomi has been possessed by an evil spirit because the next thing he knew. She was thrashing everything in their room.
"I’m crazy right?" She asked, throwing the lamp to the floor as it broke, before dragging their wedding picture that was on the wall and slammed it to the floor, before stomping her legs over it.
"You sided with her. I’m your wife but you are lusting over another man’s wife. I hate you! I hate you!" She cried, her hands moving forward for the bedsheets and pillows, and shredded everything to pieces.
"Mom, please that’s enough." Zoe cried, as she made her way into the room thinking that her mother was going to stop her tantrums at seeing her.
But what she didn’t know was that she was also angry at her. She insulted her by going to Marya’s place. Now she would think that she’s feeling guilty for something she didn’t do.
"You went to her house thinking she’s going to smile at you, right. Well let me burst your bubbles Zoe, you were being stupid. You lacked critical thinking and a vital organ called a brain." She degraded her child, who had her mouth shut at her mother’s words. So much for thinking that she’s going to have her back, since she couldn’t do anything without seeing her aunt’s face which has been the reason she went to make peace with her friend.
"That’s enough Naomi, that’s our daughter you are talking to that way, woman." George reminded her, while he aswell ducked when she threw a pillow at him in anger.
" A daughter and a cheating husband. That’s why we haven’t been able to have another child since after Zoe. You were busy thinking of Marya, instead of your wife!"
Her last statement had Zoe gasping, her mother has always being a troublemaker while her father was the easy going type.
But the look on her father’s face after being accused of cheating, was another thing. He was sick and tired of her mother’s attitude.
He strode forward to get the remaining pillow out of her grasp before she tears it into pieces. But unfortunately, she pushed him really hard that his shoe slipped over the glass, on the tiled floor before he fell to the ground, the back of his head connecting with the glass on the floor.
"Noo!" Zoe cried, losing her balance as she watched the way her dad spat out blood from his mouth.
Her mother was now cool, as she stood frozen on the spot while shaking her head in denial over what she’s seeing.
"Na..omi." George choked on his words, his eyes on his wife before she fell to the floor, and started screaming for help.
"Call 911!"
