Narika: The Ghost Bride-Chapter 156 - One Hundred And Fifty-Six:Meeting Nelson.
When Jason saw that his father in-law was here, he had to interfere immediately because he didn’t want Alex to insult further than he had done this morning, and Sergei Monroe had just made things worse by telling him about Marilyn’s infidelity.
It’s his fault for bringing up Lucifer’s name in the first place, but what would you have him do when that was the only name his wife was screaming before she went MIA?
"Father, I said that i can handle this." He said, tugging at his tie that was suddenly feeling tight for him to breathe.
He looked away from Alex whose face was saying that he was trying to understand the statement, the old man has said.
"Yeah, I can see how well you are taking care of things here, Jason." Sergie said before stopping in front of the two men." Look, I don’t care if you two end up killing each other, all i want to know is if any of you had any idea about Lucifer? According to the cctv sounds, and Jason, she was calling for this said’ Lucifer ’ before things went bad."
Alex bursted out laughing when he fully understood what was going on here. He isn’t laughing because Marilyn has cheated on Jason, and ran away with her lover. But that too, on the same day Polina has gone missing.
As crazy as it sounds, he knew that he wouldn’t be able to tell either Jason nor his father-in-law about Polina’s disappearance either. Everyone knew that she was a dead person, and he didn’t want to complicate things between them than it already was, with the talk that Jason’s bullet didn’t exactly hit a vital vein in his daughter’s body to kill her.
So yeah, he’s stuck with trying to find out the coincidence between Marilyn’s disappearance and his daughter too. But he could only suspect that Marilyn had grown tired of Jason, and had run away with the so-called Lucifer.
"Now i see what this is all about, Marilyn grew tired of your inability to give her a proper head just like she liked, man. That’s why she cheated."Alex said with a smug grin.
"That’s enough of your stupidity." Jason said moving forward to tug at his collar, but he jerked his hands off him just to laugh at his present predicament.
"Why are you antsy? It’s the truth. You stole her away from me, you motherfucker." Alex confessed, his anger taking hold of him when he fully remembered how Marilyn had broken up with him just for Jason’s lame ass.
"Why do you think she did that? It never really crossed your mind that you are heartless. You don’t even love yourself, what makes you think that you were in love with her?" Jason added salt to his injury, by hitting a nerve that made him strike his fist at him.
Jadon returned the favor too, and while all these were going on. Sergei Monroe had given the order to their escorts not to interfere, and let the both of them settle their issues themselves.
Cain wouldn’t lie, he wasn’t expecting this to be the outcome of today’s meetup. His hand was itching to spill blood, but rather than his boss making a way for that to come true, he was crying about his lost love. Damn!
"You took her away from me, you fool. She was meant to be mine!" Alex grabbed him by his collar, while Jason spat at his face that made him close his eyes, before cleaning his face with his hands only to stare pit red at him in anger.
He clearly had a death wish, so he tried to act upon that anger by bringing out his gun and pointing it at his temple. Jason’s men did the same once again, and Cain had to support his boss too.
"What are you waiting for? Shoot me and watch Marilyn hate you for the rest of her life." Jason teased, while watching the heavy rising and falling of Alex’s chest.
"Okay, that’s enough." Sergei said, moving forward and lowered Alex’s gun away from his son’s face, before stepping besides the both of them." I’m disappointed in both of you. We are here to find out how to find your missing wife Jason, and not fight."
"Yeah, tell that to the motherfucker who killed my son." Jason spat angrily, while Alex grinned mischievously.
"And you killed his daughter, Jason. You fools are too lame to see where this hate between you two is ruining your family peace." Sergei preached to them, while Alex rolled his eyes. He would have been one lucky man to scream right at their face that his daughter was still alive had it been she didn’t disappear into thin air.
He didn’t want to start stressing his mind about her, having superpower to disappear on her own. Maybe she did have powers and disappeared insearch of Adrik who is long dead.
If that was the case, then Polina was the stupidest person on earth to think that there’s any way Adrik would be coming back to earth like a human being.
"I’m sorry, but i don’t know any Lucifer or any other man Marilyn would want to cheat on with. If there’s anyone that should know, it’s him...why am i even here anyway?" Alex asked, turning to see Marilyn’s dad because he clearly didn’t know why he came here in the first place.
"To apologize for trying to hurt my grandchild. Listen Alex, I don’t care what it is between you and Jason. But you will do well to keep my granddaughter out of this." Sergei said with every hint of seriousness in him.
Alex did nothing but scoffed at his words, " I’m sorry, but i don’t get to answer to you." He pinched the tip of his nose out of reflex, while he controlled the urge in him that wanted to hit Sergei with the edge of his gun.
Who is he to tell him what to do or not?
"Trust me, you wouldn’t want to mess with me, Alex. I have been silent because i trust that this feud ended with our children’s death, but if you still want to move further than that, I would be glad to show you your place in this city." Sergei added, looking at his watch to see that his time here was up.
Alex knew who exactly he was, and he should be wary of him. But then when had he ever been the type to listen?
He wanted to speak against what he just said, only to hear Cain call his name before he shoved his phone in front of him that showed his son, Nelson, in his house with his guards laying on the floor in pain.
"I have to go."Alex blurted out frantically, while he put away his gun at the back of his trousers.
"Fine, if you have any information concerning Marilyn, I hope you will do well to contact us." Sergei told him, but he did nothing but nod his head to whatever it was he said since his mind was somewhere else.
He dashed out of the factory in a hurry, with Cain following behind.
"How did he catch on that your men were trailing him?" He asked Cain, when he stepped inside the car.
"I don’t..." Cain didn’t have any relevant answer for this and he had to interrupt him.
"Forget it," He said, losing his tie, before he turned to his driver to do his work and get them home as soon as possible.
He had to meet his son.
Keep calm and write something...
