Narika: The Ghost Bride-Chapter 164 - One Hundred Sixty-Four:What If She’s Working With Lucifer Too?
I messed up!
I really messed up!
Adrik mentioned to himself for the umpteenth time, while he made his way through the late nights in Sekè, while his mind was a war of its own because there’s no way on earth Narika would forgive him for what he has done.
He couldn’t help it, fuck! He just couldn’t hold it in while he saw his girl smiling at that ingrate, and not only was that but the motherfucker gave her a flower.
If she wanted a flower she should have opened up, and tell him about it. He would grace her early morning sleep with a plantation of them if that’s what she wanted. He didn’t want to see her laughing with that boy, nor with anyone else. He didn’t want anyone to see what was his, and Narika was exposing herself too much when they had suggested keeping a low profile.
Adrik knew how absurd that sounded, but it can’t be helped if she doesn’t want to attract the evil eye, his father would be shakin hell and earth right now insearch of them, and he has no help either here or outside the earth, because he couldn’t trust anybody.
He just couldn’t trust anyone at this point, Polina was supposed to be on his side and not try to kill Narika, for crying out loud, she’s her niece, and he didn’t even want to start talking about Sakura right now.
He had always known that she was crazy, but not to this extent to kill his girl, when it was made known to her right from the very first start, and yet her jealousy couldn’t stop her to see that she was turning out to be like his father, instead of being neutral like the grand Alliance.
Then there’s this big part where he didn’t know where Oregon had disappeared to, he was the only one who he knew was going to help him escape hell totally, to avoid running into his father’s men once they leave.
But no! It seems that he would be doing this alone, since Oregon is MIA and he can’t for any reason risk losing Narika too, he just can’t!
But the young girl is misunderstanding why he was doing this, it seems after getting to know what they truly are, there’s a bridge in-between their relationship. She just seemed distant lately and he didn’t like any of that.
When they had met in New York city, he could still remember how close they had gotten after he had saved her from freezing to death, in the cold nights of Newyork. There was something brewing between them.
Back then, she had overlooked the fact that he was a ghost that wanted to kill her, heck! His girl didn’t look at all that, but rather looked at the goodness inside of him and fell for him for that.
But right now that’s changed, everything has changed and that’s because of his father! That’s because of what he is and where he belongs! He didn’t ask for any of this! He didn’t ask for his mother to cheat on his foster father, with a really crazy douchebag that was messing with his life now.
Yeah, that was what was happening, his identity was the cause of the lost spark between her. There’s nothing he could do not to hope that she gets back to see him the way she did, before all these come crashing down.
He will be willing to wait, as long as he would get to be with her in the end. But until then, she should do well to avoid the other men, that only triggered his jealousy and he wasn’t an expert at controlling his beast yet.
It took a lot of willpower to not kill that boy who gave her that flower, but there’s Laila, and he remembered that making a scene right there would complicate things after meeting their village leader about keeping up with the rules and regulations around here.
But Adrik isn’t happy within him, he wasn’t happy that he hurt Narika and yes! Staying away from her tonight was a good idea because he needed to do this, and he can’t waste anymore time on this.
He disappeared into earth, and appeared into his mother’s room just like he had remembered where they lived. He had to blame himself for keeping away from Vanessa for a long time, but it’s for the best.
He wouldn’t be able to live if one day he loses control of himself, and kill her. His sister was a lovable soul to deserve such treatment, but he was here for his mother and based on what she would tell him right now would depend on him not killing her.
He needed to hear her side of the story, everything and then he could know what else to do. His father wouldn’t be able to hurt her too if he had any conscience in him, Polina was a mistake and he hoped that his mother wouldn’t end up like her too.
But when he noticed the pregnant silence in the room, and how untouched everywhere was. Adrik had to have a rethink about her being here, because he went through every corner in her room to meet an empty room. There was no presence of life here and that’s when he closed his eyes and had to use his powers to see what had happened and where exactly she could be.
He saw his mother being dragged out of the bed by Abbadon, while she tried fighting herself out of his grip.
"Fuck!"
Adrik nearly fell to the ground when he opened his eyes, but he held onto the edge of the table, but doing that caused one of his mother’s beauty care products to fall to the ground, creating an annoying sound.
"Is anyone there?"
Adrik looked at the door to see the knob shaking, when he heard Jason’s voice outside. This wasn’t the time for a father and son reunion, so he wasted no time to leave before his bubbles were burst.
"No... no, no!!" He yelled out in frustration at the empty road he was standing, while running his hands through his hair to stop the headache that was coming.
He was late.
Lucifer had his mother, and he only knew the meaning of that. Yet, Adrik didn’t know if he was ready to come back to hell without any strong assurance that his mother wasn’t working with him either.
What would he do?
