Narika: The Ghost Bride-Chapter 86 - Eighty-Six: He Loved Her Kisses.
New York City.
~~~
Narika let out a relieved gasp when she was done with bathing, and stood in front of the mirror all tidied up, but she was just wearing a robe. Her head was tied up in a bun, since there’s no hair dryer present she didn’t see any need to wash her head tonight.
Besides, she was really tired and wanted nothing to to fall asleep but Adrik had left a few hours ago, to get her some necessities she would be needing. When she came out of the bathroom, she saw the tray containing the meal he had ordered on her behalf.
Adrik was rich, like rich rich. She was eager to know if he had real money or had he used his powers on the hoteliers, and have his way here. There was a lot she had to ask him, but decided against doing that, because Adrik doesn’t seem like the type who talked too much.
It’s alarming that he didn’t force her into his world, just so he could punish her for running away, rather he was treating her like someone he cared about. She still remembered the way his eyes masked in anger when he saw the mark.
Talking about the mark on her neck, the pain has subdued to a minimal level, after Adrian had touched it. When he touched her neck, she felt a jolt running within her, a spark was right there and all she wanted was for him to keep touching her. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
She looked at the fading mark in her neck in the mirror, and Narika prayed that it wouldn’t leave a scar. The last thing she would want to wear was a hickey that belongs to some stupid creature.
Adrik knew who it was, or maybe he didn’t. But whichever one it is, Narika knew that he would be here to save her if the creature comes back. He wouldn’t allow anyone to touch what belongs to him, just like he had proclaimed her to be.
She’s nothing but a mere possession to him, yet she felt bad hearing him speak that way about her. Whereas, in a real sense she should be happy that he didn’t take her seriously.
Whatever it is he was planning with her would surely come to an end, so he didn’t feel anything close to having actual feelings for her, just like he did with Polina.
Narika wished that she had met her aunt. She wanted to know what sort of a woman she was, to live the kind of Adrik. Who was nothing but a narcissist prince charming.
What really surprised Narika about what’s happening in her life lately, was the part where for the past few hours she had spent with him. Her vision she had of him was slowly changing. If anyone had told her that there would ever come a day that she would be needing the help of him, a ghost. Then she would be considered a big liar.
With that being said, she sat on the bed and opened the food that had been kept for her. She was hungry, but watching the steak in it, her mother’s favorite reminded her of her mom, and before she knew it, she lost her appetite.
She wanted to know how they were doing, but at the same time that would only end up making her feel guilty than she already was for running away. She didn’t want to give her mother the impression that she’s going to be back, from the look of things she’s not so sure yet that she’s going to be back.
Adrik was hiding something from her, and she wanted answers right away. She hoped that staying with him would give her the answers she wanted.
She wiped the tears forming at her eyes, the urge to take the telephone up and call home was strong. But she couldn’t do it, not just yet. So until she’s figured out what she was, and what fate has in store when it brought Adrik knocking at her doorsteps.
"What are you doing?" Adrik suddenly asked, making her jerk on the bed with her hand on top of her chest. He scared the shit out of her.
She turned to face him, he had a whole lot of shopping bags in his hands. He’s acting so human, yet he couldn’t use the door like any normal human would do
"Nothing, I just miss my parents." She answered, standing up to take the bags from him. A huge smile plastering on her face when she noticed how heavy it was. Her eyes beamed in excitement getting some of the stuff out, to confirm that Adrik was some super rich gentleman in the ghost world.
"You didn’t have to do this, i just need a few clothes, that’s all. But thank you anyway." She said shyly, pushing a little bit of her hair behind her ear. She didn’t exactly know how else to thank him, and also with the look on his face made her slightly flustered.
Meanwhile, on Adrik’s part he could help but not look at her. She looks hot in that robe.
Fuck! I need to stop this!
He thought, trying to look away from her as she excitedly scattered everything he bought for her on the bed. Her smile was contagious and before he knew it. He was smiling along with her, until she did something he didn’t expect by walking up to him, and pecked his cheeks.
He was frozen.
It felt too unreal, She pecked him on her own accord, and before he could do anything about it. She was long gone taking along the pajamas he had bought for her into the bathroom.
He looked towards the bathroom, to see her shadows behind the door undressing, and before he knew it, he was hard as fuck.
"Fuck! Narika, what are you doing to me?" Adrik said, looking away from the bathroom. His hands are going to grip the chair as the image of her shadow in there hasn’t left his mind, neither the kiss earlier.
When has being this silly and brave?
The least he knew about her, she had thrown a big fuss when he stole her first kiss from her, yet she didn’t blink twice before pecking him, without realizing what she’s doing.
But he couldn’t complain, if she’s trying to seduce her way out for him not to take her to his world, where she belongs to. He would happily play dumb, just so he could be getting her kisses every single day.
