Naruto: I Have a Gravity Training Room-Chapter 443 - 441
Natsuki and Tenten really did know a lot of people.
First there was everyone in Konoha—four Hokage to invite, plus a whole pile of teachers, mentors, and friends. Then there were people in the Land of Lightning, the Land of Wind, the Land of Water, the Land of Earth, the Land of Iron, Takigakure, and more. The guest list was so long it was borderline ridiculous.
Whether they were close or not didn't even matter. As long as they'd crossed paths during the Fourth Great Ninja War, they still needed to be invited.
If someone chose not to come, that was their decision—but the invitation had to arrive.
Natsuki and Tenten listed everyone out, double-checking until they were sure there were no gaps. Then Tenten ground the ink while Natsuki personally wrote each invitation by hand, and in the end they both added their signatures to make it feel properly formal.
To prevent any last-minute omissions, they even carried a few blank invitations with them when they went out delivering—just in case they remembered someone on the spot.
Once they'd finished most of them, the two headed out together. The first stop was Gai-sensei and Lee.
Gai-sensei was Tenten's teacher, and "Two-Six-Three" was basically Natsuki's teacher too—after all, the Hachimon Tonkō (Eight Gates) he'd taught had helped more than anything in the war. So of course he had to be first.
Lee was there because he trained with Gai-sensei every day.
And it wasn't just the two of them. There were plenty of unfamiliar faces around as well, apparently people who'd come specifically to learn taijutsu from Gai-sensei.
After all, the Hachimon Tonkō (Eight Gates) had completely stolen the spotlight: Gai-sensei had opened the Seventh Gate and fought Edo Madara evenly, and Natsuki had opened the Seventh Gate and beaten Six Paths Madara into speechlessness. Naturally, tons of people decided the Eight Gates were absurdly overpowered—and wanted to learn.
That delighted Gai-sensei to no end.
He didn't mind teaching, either. The problem was that most of them simply didn't have the physique for it yet, so they needed far more conditioning first.
The moment Natsuki and Tenten arrived, everyone's eyes lit up—but because Gai-sensei ran a strict session, not a single person dared move out of line. They kept training.
"Yo! Our two great heroes are here!" Gai laughed, hands on his hips, exactly as spirited as ever.
Lee mirrored the pose perfectly. They called themselves teacher and student, but they looked more like father and son.
Natsuki immediately pulled out two invitations and handed them over. "Gai-sensei, Lee—Tenten and I are getting married next month. We're inviting you to the wedding banquet. You have to come."
"Hahahaha! You two are finally getting married!" Gai thrust his thumb up, his bright white teeth practically sparkling. "Don't worry—we'll be there! And we'll bring you an ultra big gift!"
Lee burned with enthusiasm too. "Then my gift has to be youthful and passionate! I'll definitely surprise Natsuki and Tenten!"
Natsuki and Tenten both twitched at the corners of their mouths, but they couldn't exactly complain. They just couldn't begin to imagine what an "ultra big gift" and a "surprise" from those two would look like.
Please don't be green spandex.
No. The more they thought about it, the more terrifying it became. They needed to leave—fast.
"Then we'll get going," Natsuki said quickly, waving his hands. "We still have a lot of invitations to deliver."
Then he added to the people training nearby, "Even if you don't have an invitation, you can still come. You're all welcome to attend mine and Tenten's wedding."
Everyone replied excitedly, "Natsuki-senpai! Tenten-senpai! We'll definitely go! Congratulations!"
Hand in hand, the two of them headed to the Hokage's office next.
Inside, it was a whirlwind of work. The war had just ended, and there were mountains of things to arrange. Fortunately, Tsunade wasn't handling it alone—otherwise she would've cracked.
Natsuki also noticed a small extra desk set up behind Kakashi, with Naruto sitting there.
Even without knowing the details, Natsuki could guess what was going on: Naruto was aiming to become Hokage, so he'd started suffering through office busywork.
"Everyone, sorry to interrupt!" Natsuki called. "Tenten and I are here to deliver invitations. The wedding is next month, so you all have to come!"
They gave invitations to Tsunade, Hashirama, Tobirama, Minato, Jiraiya, Kakashi, Naruto, and Shizune. They even gave one to Tonton. Shizune had come back to help since the hospital wasn't too busy right now.
Tsunade took the invitation, and a smile finally surfaced on her exhausted face. "Okay. We'll all go—and we'll definitely prepare a big gift for you two!"
Tenten couldn't help guessing, "Don't tell me it's the Senju library free-reading voucher my husband's been thinking about?"
Hashirama looked startled. "Young lady, you're sharp! How did you know I was going to give that?"
Tsunade's expression instantly changed. "Grandpa! That was my gift! How can you give the same thing? No, no—you have to pick something else. I promised Natsuki that a long time ago!"
Hashirama chuckled. "Tsuna, your grandpa doesn't have much he can offer. I heard Natsuki likes our family's collection, so that's all I could think of. You should come up with something else."
Tsunade refused to budge. "No! Absolutely not!"
Tobirama cut in at that moment. "Stop arguing. I already made the voucher. This gift is from—"
"NANI?! We don't agree!"
The office immediately erupted into bickering, loud and lively.
Shizune could only sigh helplessly, but she still smiled at the two of them. "I can't believe even Tonton got an invitation. That's really thoughtful."
Tenten patted Tonton's head. "Tonton's our good partner too, of course there's one for her. We'll prepare something nice for Tonton as well!"
Tonton was visibly delighted. "Puye!"
Kakashi opened his invitation and took a look. It was clearly made with care—elegant style, neat handwriting. Just seeing it made you feel comfortable. You could tell how much effort the two of them had put in.
He nodded in satisfaction. "Congratulations. This time I definitely won't be late. And I'll give you a good gift too."
Natsuki grinned. "Kakashi-senpai, just don't give us Icha Icha Paradise."
Jiraiya's eyes bulged immediately. "I can't give Icha Icha Paradise? Then what am I supposed to give?!"
Wait, you were seriously going to give that?
Someone's wedding is a huge life event and you're planning to gift them an adult novel—your audacity is unreal.
Even Kakashi was speechless. "Jiraiya-sama… Icha Icha Paradise may be a bestseller, and it may be famous, but it's really not appropriate as a wedding gift. Please think of something else."
Jiraiya scratched his head, suddenly stumped. He genuinely had no idea what else to give.
Naruto lifted his head too, holding his invitation with open envy on his face. "Natsuki, Tenten… I didn't expect you two to get married so fast! I wonder when I'll be able to marry Sakura."
Yeah. Good luck with that. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
And you probably won't get there.
Natsuki didn't want to get into that, so he changed the subject. "Naruto, you're working hard to become Hokage, huh?"
Naruto immediately turned into a miserable pout. "Yeah. Dad said if I want to be Hokage, I have to learn how to handle all this paperwork. So I'm learning under Kakashi-sensei for now. I didn't know being Hokage was this hard! One chore after another—my head feels like it's going to explode. I'd rather fight Ōtsutsuki Kaguya again!"
That earned a wave of eye-rolls from everyone—even Minato looked resigned.
It was basic administrative work, and he was comparing it to fighting Kaguya. What, if he can't do paperwork, the world ends? At this point it was hard to tell who should be crying—him or everyone else.
