The sword came down with unstoppable might.

Neji's Six Paths Rotation didn't stop. Repulsive force erupted under his feet, launching him upward even faster, straight at the golden blade.

The huge rotating sphere shot into the sky and slammed into the blade while the sword's power was still building, before it could reach its peak.

A thunderous boom exploded across the lunar surface. The golden sword was actually knocked back by Kaiten.

Toneri felt the weapon collapse in his hands. Before he could even pull his Truth-Seeking Balls back, the massive spinning sphere was already smashing toward him.

Yet he wasn't blown away.

Because the repulsion on the sphere abruptly flipped into gravity, locking onto him and dragging him in.

Neji's palm strikes followed like a storm, hammering Toneri over and over. They disrupted his chakra pathways and shredded his body with brutal efficiency.

Toneri let out a scream that sounded like it tore his throat apart.

From birth until now, he had always been above everyone else. He'd never suffered this kind of injury. He'd never had to endure this kind of pain.

In the end, Neji slammed him down into the moon's surface.

The impact carved a massive crater. Toneri lay there, completely drained of strength, wracked with pain, unable to move at all.

The blue in his eyes vanished, degrading back to white.

His Tenseigan's ocular power was exhausted.

Neji finished up and looked down at Toneri from above, tossing out a cold verdict. "Hmph. That's all? You think you can destroy the shinobi world with this? And you dared lay hands on my little sister?"

Orochimaru had already collected the blood that had splattered nearby. Now he jumped into the crater, staring at Toneri with feverish excitement.

But he frowned a moment later. "Neji-kun, you broke him. Why is his Tenseigan gone?"

Neji answered lazily. "Ran out of ocular power, obviously. Either way, he's your research material now. Also, those are Hanabi's eyes. Take them out and put them back in her."

Before Neji even finished speaking, Orochimaru had already performed the surgery at terrifying speed. Two eyes were sealed into a nutrient vial.

Neji froze, genuinely unsure what he was supposed to say to that.

Natsuki patted his shoulder. "Orochimaru doesn't have the patience to listen right now. He'll handle the specimen. And don't worry, he won't dare keep Hanabi's eyes for himself. He'll probably study them first, then return them."

Neji looked at the feverish obsession in Orochimaru's gaze and couldn't relate at all.

But as long as his sister got her eyes back, that was all that mattered.

Natsuki chuckled. "Neji, those Byakugan already evolved once. They just degraded because the ocular power ran dry. If Hanabi gets them back, do you think she can make them evolve again?"

Neji answered without hesitation. "She can. Hanabi's the best of our generation besides me."

"Hah. Then congratulations in advance. The Hyūga clan's about to gain another Six Paths-tier shinobi."

Neji didn't bother being modest. He believed in his sister. Hanabi's talent was obvious. If those eyes had evolved once, then in Hanabi's body, they would evolve again.

"Neji-nii!"

Hanabi's voice reached him, and Neji finally breathed out.

He looked up and saw Hanabi being carried over in Sasuke's arms. Her eyes were still shut tight, dried blood staining the trails beneath them. Neji's killing intent spiked again instantly.

Without thinking, he stepped down on Toneri's hand and crushed.

Bone snapped. The wrist broke under his heel.

Toneri, already drowning in despair from losing the Tenseigan, let out a pig-squeal scream and passed out on the spot.

Orochimaru immediately slapped Neji's foot away. "Neji-kun! I know you're angry, but this man is my research specimen now. Can you not damage my material?"

Neji didn't look apologetic. "Orochimaru. Put Hanabi's eyes back. Now."

Orochimaru hesitated. "…You don't understand, Neji-kun. Those eyes were worn by that disgusting man. They're covered in bacteria. I need to sterilize them properly before returning them, so Hanabi doesn't get an infection."

Neji gave him a look that said, Do you think I'm stupid? "What kind of garbage excuse is that? Don't pretend. You're just going to study them first."

Orochimaru didn't even deny it anymore. He said it righteously. "Of course. If I uncover the true secret of the Tenseigan, the ones who benefit most will be your Hyūga clan. And my mission is to research Ōtsutsuki. I'm obviously going to study it first. What's wrong with that?"

Neji fell silent.

Because Orochimaru did have a point. And he wasn't saying he wouldn't return them, only that it would take time.

So Neji had to compromise. "Then be fast. Hanabi's waiting."

Orochimaru gave him a reassuring look. "I will. I want the Tenseigan's secrets as soon as possible too."

Sasuke and Naruto jumped down into the crater and reached Neji's side.

Neji instinctively reached out to take Hanabi.

Sasuke instinctively took one step back.

Neji's hand froze in midair. The two of them paused, both caught off guard.

Somehow, Natsuki had produced a camera from nowhere.

He snapped a photo of the moment.

Then, looking at the awkward scene, he burst out laughing.

Neji cleared his throat. "Sasuke. Hand her to me. You've been carrying her the whole way. You're tired."

Sasuke shook his head. "You just fought. You're more tired. I'll keep holding her."

Neji's voice sharpened. "Hanabi is my little sister."

Sasuke answered like it was obvious. "Neji, don't be like that. Your sister is basically my sister too. So me holding her is fine."

Neji refused flatly. "Hanabi's thirteen. She's not a little kid anymore."

Sasuke sighed, then finally handed her over. There was even a trace of reluctance in his eyes. "Man… why don't I have a cute little sister like this?"
