Naruto: I Have a Gravity Training Room-Chapter 496: The End
Minato and Naruto still looked like they wanted to argue, but Hashirama stopped them with a look.
The two of them were actually a lot like Hashirama. They believed in the power of bonds, which was exactly why they were willing to trust Jiraiya without conditions. But sometimes you couldn't blindly trust "bonds."
Kashin Koji was only Jiraiya's clone. Their bond hadn't been built yet.
So blindly believing in it wasn't the right move.
Tobirama and Tsunade's approach was clearly more rational and cautious. Besides, the matter was still being handed to Jiraiya, wasn't it?
As for what it would become, that depended entirely on Jiraiya himself.
Next came the distribution issue.
After wiping out Kara, there were plenty of spoils: cloning technology, advanced medical devices, scientific ninja tools. A lot of it could significantly help every village's development.
So distribution naturally became a problem.
Some things would be shared across the Allied Shinobi Forces, but some items were better assigned individually, which meant every village had something to fight for.
The issue was that this was exactly where conflicts formed.
Konoha had indeed contributed the most, but Konoha had also already gained the most.
Just look at Natsuki obtaining the black eye. That alone was already Konoha taking the biggest advantage, not to mention that a lot of the tech would have to pass through Orochimaru's hands. Overall, Konoha would still end up with the most.
So the rest, naturally, should be distributed among the other members of the alliance.
Even though the alliance united the major powers of the shinobi world into a single whole, you couldn't deny that each power was still an individual. Each one still needed to develop independently, which meant they had to fight for greater benefits.
On that point, Konoha's side mostly stayed silent. It wasn't easy to argue for more, and it wasn't easy to openly favor any one side either.
Fortunately, the Four Kage's talks didn't get heated. After some discussion, the distribution wrapped up fairly quickly.
By then, the meeting was basically over.
Raikage A even used the chance to ask about Orochimaru's research progress. After all, letting Orochimaru remain was originally for the sake of researching the Ōtsutsuki. Naturally, everyone was eager for results.
"At this point, Orochimaru and Sanzu Amado have basically figured out the Ōtsutsuki clan's powerful genetic sequences," Natsuki explained as simply as he could. "Next, they might start researching genetic mutation. If they can develop genetic drugs, we could strengthen our shinobi population as a whole through injections. With good enough aptitude, producing a few more Six Paths-level powerhouses won't be a problem."
He wasn't making things up. That conclusion came straight from the research results.
In simple terms, once they could control the powerful genetic sequences, the drug they developed could push shinobi genes to mutate and evolve in the direction of those stronger genes.
And "good aptitude" was basically code for people with hidden Ōtsutsuki blood.
If the genetic drug awakened that dormant Ōtsutsuki bloodline, they would naturally become stronger. With enough luck, stepping directly into the Six Paths realm wasn't impossible.
So leaving Orochimaru to research was obviously not wasted effort at all.
In just a few years, the shinobi world would absolutely produce talents in droves and enter a golden age of development.
And with Kara wiped out, the shinobi world likely no longer had the hidden threat of Ōtsutsuki infiltrators. The alliance could develop without restraint, making the most thorough preparations possible for a future Ōtsutsuki invasion.
Clearly, everyone was satisfied with Natsuki's answer.
With that, the meeting ended, and Natsuki was in a rush to get to the hospital.
The moment he stepped out of the Hokage Building, Lunaye came sprinting up to him.
"Boss! Boss! Tenten is about to give birth!"
What?! She was going into labor?!
Natsuki was shocked and overjoyed. He immediately ignored the "future father-in-law" etiquette, grabbed Tsunade, and used Hiraishin (Flying Thunder God) to flash over.
When the others heard, they were thrilled too.
"Tenten's having the baby! Let's all go see! We can celebrate for Natsuki and Tenten!"
"Hold on, hold on! We can't show up empty-handed. Let's go get some small gifts!"
"Right, right! Childbirth takes a while anyway. We have time to pick gifts. And we should notify more friends so they can come congratulate them too!"
Everyone scattered at once, some heading straight for the market, others running to spread the news.
Before long, all of Konoha knew Natsuki's child was about to be born. The village turned lively in an instant, overflowing with joy.
Friends headed for the hospital one after another. Natsuki's soon-to-be father-in-law and more friends all rushed over too.
It was genuinely bustling.
At the hospital, Natsuki flashed in with Tsunade and hurried to his father-in-law's side. "Dad, how is Tenten doing?"
The shop owner's face was full of joy and worry. "My good son-in-law, you're finally back! Tenten's been talking about you nonstop these days. She just heard you came back safe from subduing Kara, got too excited, and labor started. She's in the delivery room right now!"
"Dad, don't panic. I brought Lady Tsunade," Natsuki said, anxious himself but still trying to steady him.
"Good, good!" The shop owner finally let out a huge breath when he saw Tsunade. "Lady Tsunade, I'm counting on you!"
With Tsunade, the greatest medical shinobi alive, there was no way anything would go wrong.
Tsunade had already changed into medical gear. She smiled. "Relax. I checked Tenten before. She's in great shape, and the baby is healthy. Everything will be safe. Just wait out here. It won't take too long."
Then she decisively pushed open the delivery room door and went in.
Natsuki and the shop owner could only wait outside, anxious and helpless.
Before long, friends started arriving one after another. They congratulated him first, then all waited together.
Especially the Konoha rookies. They were incredibly curious about Natsuki's child. After all, Natsuki and Tenten were the first among them to marry and have a baby. Everyone felt a kind of longing toward the birth of new life.
They waited eight hours.
Then a baby's cry rang out from the delivery room, and everyone jolted.
The shop owner blurted out, shaking with excitement, "He's born! He's born!"
Natsuki was ecstatic, but he still couldn't help worrying about Tenten.
Soon, a nurse opened the door and let Natsuki and the shop owner inside. Both of them were stiff with nerves, moving awkwardly, but not slow at all. They hurried into the delivery room.
Tsunade was holding a swaddled bundle. Inside was a tiny, wrinkly, loud-crying little one.
"Natsuki, sir, congratulations. Mother and child are safe."
Those words made both men sag with relief.
Natsuki immediately flashed to the bedside, gripped Tenten's hand, and gently stroked her cheek with aching tenderness. "Tenten, you worked so hard."
Tenten smiled, radiant with happiness. "Honey, our baby was born safely."
Natsuki only kissed her forehead. Words weren't enough to express what he felt.
Then he reached out and took the little one from Tsunade, bringing him close to Tenten's face. The two of them looked at the baby with eyes full of love, their smiles bright with joy and contentment.
Natsuki could feel it. The baby's vitality was astonishing. He'd definitely inherited the kekkei mōra.
In the future, the kid's lowest ceiling would be Six Paths-level. Absolutely a peerless prodigy.
Tenten was exhausted. Before long, she fell asleep.
Her dad carried his grandson out of the delivery room, grinning so widely it looked like his face might split. Anyone could tell how happy he was.
Their friends crowded in, peering curiously at the baby. Some said he was cute. Some said he was ugly. But the Six Paths-level fighters could all sense the baby's immense life force.
"By the way," someone asked, "what's the kid's name?"
Tsunade immediately jumped in. "I suggest Nawaki!"
Hashirama tugged at his granddaughter's arm. "Little Tsuna, Nawaki isn't great. I think Madara sounds better."
Everyone was speechless. Enough, you two.
Natsuki had just stepped out and heard them. He rolled his eyes. Tsunade, no matter how much you miss your brother, and Hashirama, no matter how much you miss your… buddy, you can't set your sights on my kid's name.
But Natsuki hadn't expected the others to pile on too.
Sasuke spoke without hesitation. "Natsuki, you can use my brother's name."
Neji added, "My father's name, Hizashi, is a good one too. You can use that."
Even Shino spoke up. "Natsuki, I was the matchmaker. How about I help name him? I'll definitely come up with something good."
One after another. What was he even supposed to say?
Besides, the baby's name had already been decided. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
Natsuki raised a hand to quiet everyone and announced, "Stop arguing. The baby already has a name. His name is…"
The End.
