Chapter 205 - 205: Defeat

Even though Enma possessed an indestructible body, it had its limits. A Rasengan on par with a Tailed Beast Ball was something he simply couldn't withstand.

Pain wracked his body as he struggled to maintain his form.

Hiruzen Sarutobi, seeing the dire situation, quickly formed hand seals, creating four shadow clones that simultaneously wove signs.

Five attacks of different elemental natures converged into a single, blinding pillar of energy, colliding head-on with the Rasengan.

"Boom!"

A deafening explosion shook the battlefield, unleashing a devastating shockwave that spread in all directions.

With the Rasengan neutralized, the Adamantine Staff, now unobstructed, came crashing down toward Jiraiya's head.

"Eight Gates Release—Shock Gate, open!"

An intense blue steam erupted from Jiraiya's body as he gazed up at the descending staff. Rather than dodging, he clenched his right fist and launched it forward.

With a thunderous roar, his fist shot forward, producing a massive explosion of air pressure. Flames coiled around his arm, twisting into the shape of a dragon.

From a distance, it looked as if a divine beast was coiling around Jiraiya's arm. freewёbnoνel.com

This taijutsu technique was one he had developed, inspired by Might Guy's Morning Peacock and Afternoon Tiger.

"Argh!"

The flaming punch struck the Adamantine Staff with immense force, sending Enma flying. The impact forced him out of his staff form, revealing his original state. His chest was sunken in, and blood gushed from his mouth.

Jiraiya's taijutsu was overwhelming. His physique had been enhanced multiple times by the system, making his strikes terrifyingly powerful.

"What monstrous taijutsu..."

Hiruzen's pupils contracted as he watched Enma revert to his original form. He knew better than anyone how tough Enma's body was.

Jiraiya vanished from his position, reappearing above Enma. His right leg tensed as he prepared to deliver a crushing kick. At that moment, Hiruzen sprang into action, launching a counterattack aimed directly at Jiraiya's head.

Hiruzen was fast.

If Jiraiya continued his attack, he would be struck. The only way to evade the blow was to retract his own offensive.

Jiraiya understood Hiruzen's plan but ignored it.

He had no intention of stopping.

Enma was a formidable opponent. If Jiraiya could take him out first, Hiruzen would lose half of his combat strength, as many of his techniques required Enma's cooperation.

"Argh!"

Jiraiya's kick connected with Enma, sending him hurtling through the air like a cannonball. He crashed into a distant mountain, reducing it to rubble.

At the same time, Hiruzen's attack landed on Jiraiya.

"Thud!"

Jiraiya's body trembled slightly, feeling only a dull pain. He barely flinched under the impact.

On the other hand, Hiruzen winced. It felt like he had kicked an unbreakable diamond. His leg throbbed in agony.

Before he could react, Jiraiya grabbed him by the leg and hurled him into the air with immense force.

"Multiple Ultra-Big Ball Rasengan!"

Jiraiya instantly conjured several massive Rasengan, hurling them toward the airborne Hiruzen.

"Why did you turn against Jiraiya?"

Just as the Rasengan were about to strike, Enma—despite his injuries—transformed once more into the Adamantine Staff, piercing through the incoming attacks.

"As expected of a summoning beast with an indestructible body..."

Jiraiya internally acknowledged Enma's resilience as all of his Rasengan were nullified.

"We haven't turned against each other," Hiruzen stated, landing and grasping the Adamantine Staff. "We simply have differing views... and the only way to settle this is through combat."

"What exactly is the disagreement?" Enma inquired.

"He wants to unify the shinobi world by waging war," Hiruzen declared, exposing Jiraiya's intentions.

He also revealed how Jiraiya had slain Hanzo of the Salamander and sealed Shukaku.

"Hiruzen, given his strength, it's only natural for him to think this way," Enma reasoned. "Ending the turmoil in the shinobi world through unification is a viable path."

"The First Hokage had the strength to conquer all nations but chose not to. I refuse to go against his will," Hiruzen said resolutely.

"And yet, the world remains in conflict. The great nations never achieved the peace Hashirama envisioned. Your teacher died in the First Shinobi War—have you forgotten? It's clear that Hashirama's path is flawed. Love alone won't bring peace to the shinobi world," Enma countered.

In his view, Jiraiya's plan was feasible.

If one possessed absolute strength, they should use it to unify the world and end the endless conflicts.

"But what happens when that absolute strength disappears? If the power enforcing unity is lost, the world will fracture again, plunging back into chaos," Hiruzen argued.

Jiraiya smirked. "Then I simply won't die."

Hiruzen's concerns were valid. If Jiraiya forcefully unified the world, his death would lead to everything falling apart again.

But longevity wasn't out of reach in the shinobi world. Jiraiya had the system, and with Orochimaru's scientific prowess, achieving immortality wasn't impossible.

As long as he remained alive, his unified world wouldn't collapse.

"This path won't work, Jiraiya," Hiruzen insisted.

"Then I won't hold back anymore."

Jiraiya, seeing that Hiruzen remained obstinate, lost all patience.

Lightning crackled around him as he prepared to unleash his full strength.
