Naruto: This Genius is Somewhat Ordinary-Chapter 360
On the battlefield where the masked man once stood, Naruto was barely holding on.
After Sasuke’s departure, he was forced to face the rampaging, incomplete Ten-Tails alone. Even with perfect Jinchūriki control layered on top of Sage Mode, the pressure was overwhelming.
This wasn’t skill or tactics.
It was raw output.
The Ten-Tails had no real intelligence yet. Its attacks were crude, instinctive, almost sloppy. But its sheer power was so absurd that even the simplest strike carried lethal force.
Naruto gritted his teeth and endured.
Fortunately, the other battlefields were finally quieting down.
One by one, shinobi began converging on the final front.
They didn’t know what they could contribute. Most of them probably couldn’t do much at all. But no one was willing to turn away now.
If they could help even a little, then it was worth being here.
Konoha’s heavy hitters arrived first.
Tsunade.
Hatake Kakashi.
Might Guy.
Sarutobi Asuma.
Hyūga Neji, along with several of Konoha’s younger elites.
Then the allied forces followed.
The Fourth Raikage and Darui from the Cloud.
Mei Terumī, the Fifth Mizukage.
Ōnoki, retreating from the Madara battlefield, arrived alongside his son Kitsuchi.
Gaara followed with Kankurō and Temari close behind.
Ōnoki stared at the colossal monster howling in the distance, his face stiff.
"So this is the Ten-Tails..."
He had thought Madara was the worst threat imaginable.
Compared to this, Madara almost felt manageable.
At least Madara thought.
The Ten-Tails didn’t.
That lack of reason was the only mercy here.
Ōnoki immediately linked up with the intelligence division, syncing with Nara Shikaku’s ongoing battle coordination. The plan was simple, brutal, and barely functional.
Everyone supports.
Naruto carries.
And somehow, it worked.
Through coordinated interference and relentless pressure, they shattered the masked man’s helmet and severed his control over the Ten-Tails.
The moment the man dropped from the beast, Kakashi froze.
"...It really is you," he said quietly.
Uchiha Obito stood there, exposed.
Kakashi had suspected it the moment he saw that Mangekyō. There were only two explanations for those eyes.
Someone had taken Obito’s Sharingan.
Or the masked man was Obito.
Kakashi had refused to accept the second.
If it were true, then the one responsible for his teacher’s death... the architect of this war... was the teammate he thought long dead.
The boy who used to laugh too loudly.
The boy who dreamed of becoming Hokage.
"Obito... you survived?" Kakashi asked, voice strained. "Then why? Why would you do all this?"
"Whether I lived or died doesn’t matter," Obito replied flatly. "But since you’re asking... I’ll tell you why."
Kakashi waited.
"It’s because you let Rin die."
The words hit like a blade.
"Obito, you don’t understand what happened—"
"Enough!" Obito snapped. Rage surged, then was forcibly crushed back down. "I saw it. Rin died by your hand. That’s the only truth that matters."
He exhaled slowly.
"This world isn’t worth saving."
As he spoke, attacks converged from every direction.
The most terrifying among them flared white.
"Particle Style: Atomic Dismantling Jutsu!"
The beam passed straight through Obito.
He tilted his head slightly. "It won’t work. Without Kakashi, you can’t touch me."
His intangibility had limits. But none of them knew where those limits were.
"Damn that ability..." Ōnoki muttered, glancing at Kakashi, who stood frozen.
"Sensei!" Naruto shouted. "I don’t know what happened between you, but now’s not the time to break down! We have to stop him!"
"Listen to the kid!" Guy added. "The world’s on the line. You’re the only one who can hit him!"
Kakashi shook himself awake.
"I’m fine," he said hoarsely. "Just... give me a moment."
His gaze hardened.
The Obito he remembered was already gone.
What stood here now was his teacher’s killer. The man who orphaned his students. The enemy of the entire world.
And that was enough.
Obito laughed.
"Worry about me later," he said lightly. "You should be more concerned about the Ten-Tails."
Naruto’s expression changed.
Kurama roared inside him.
It’s starting. It’s using a large-scale catastrophe technique.
Naruto relayed the warning instantly.
Too late.
The world screamed.
The ground split open. Floodwaters surged from nowhere. Hurricanes twisted across the land. Lightning detonated wildly through the sky. In the distance, dormant volcanoes erupted, spewing molten rock.
"This... is that technique?" Naruto whispered.
If this continued, almost no one here would survive.
"Kurama!" Naruto shouted.
"...You’re unbelievable," Kurama muttered.
His chakra surged outward, spreading evenly through the Allied Forces.
"Thanks!" Naruto gasped.
"Don’t thank me," Kurama snapped. "And stop using that name."
Wrapped in red chakra, the shinobi endured the disaster.
Then Kakashi acted.
The Ten-Tails was stationary during the upheaval.
This was his chance.
His Mangekyō spun violently. Blood streamed down his face.
Then space twisted.
"Don’t even try."
Obito emerged beside him and dragged Kakashi into Kamui’s dimension.
"Sensei!" Naruto yelled, too exhausted to follow.
"Don’t worry about me!" Kakashi shouted as he vanished. "Take down the Ten-Tails while he’s gone!"
The calamities eventually subsided.
Everyone looked down at the fading chakra cloaks around them.
They knew why they were alive.
Naruto collapsed, medics rushing in.
Even the Nine-Tails had limits.
And then—
A massive impact shook the battlefield.
Dust cleared.
A towering blue figure stood there.
"...Susanoo?" someone whispered.
"Madara Uchiha?!" Ōnoki shouted. "Where’s the Sixth Hokage?!"
Madara laughed.
"He hasn’t arrived yet? I assumed someone with space-time techniques would beat me here."
Relief rippled through the ranks.
Madara glanced at them, amused.
"You’re worried about him?" he said lightly. "Don’t be. He’s the strongest man of this era."
Then his expression sharpened.
"But you... should worry about yourselves."
Behind him, the Ten-Tails opened its maw.
A black sphere began to form.
A Tailed Beast Bomb.
Naruto was still recovering.
There was no one left to stop it.
Despair crept across the battlefield.
