Naruto: This Genius is Somewhat Ordinary-Chapter 386
Black Zetsu stared at Tōma’s laughter, his eyes bloodshot and wide.
He couldn’t accept it.
He refused to accept it.
Everything he had done. Every scheme, every betrayal, every century of preparation—used. Turned into someone else’s stepping stone.
"Mother!" Black Zetsu screamed hoarsely.
"Kill him! You have to kill him!"
Then, as if struck by inspiration, his expression twisted into a grin.
"Fujimoto Tōma, your plan really is flawless. I’ll admit that. I never saw it coming," he said sharply.
"But it has a fatal flaw."
He laughed, voice cracking.
"As long as you die here, everything you did becomes a joke! A farce!"
Tōma didn’t respond.
He kept laughing.
That laughter scraped against Black Zetsu’s nerves like broken glass.
When it finally faded, Tōma didn’t even look at him. He pointed straight at Kaguya.
"Come on, Ōtsutsuki Kaguya," he shouted.
"Let’s finish this."
Kaguya’s expression hardened.
"I will remember your name," she said coldly, the crimson eye on her forehead snapping fully open.
"And I will claim the final victory."
Chakra surged into her palms.
She struck.
In an instant, countless fist-shaped shockwaves erupted from the sky, streaking downward like blazing meteors. Each blow carried overwhelming force, attacking and defending at once, leaving no room to escape.
"Eighty Gods Vacuum Fists."
"Haha—perfect!"
Tōma’s eyes lit up.
Instead of dodging, he charged straight into the storm.
"Idiot!" Black Zetsu spat.
He could see it clearly. Tōma’s raw power was inferior. He survived by skill and versatility alone. Abandoning that advantage was madness.
Unless—
Black Zetsu’s stomach tightened.
Unless Tōma had another trick.
Lightning flared across Tōma’s body.
Every ounce of strength he possessed flowed into his right arm. Perfect chakra control. Brutal physical force refined to an extreme. Even Tsunade would have been forced to acknowledge it.
Electricity reinforced muscle and bone, pushing his body beyond limits the Raikage’s chakra mode couldn’t reach.
The lightning condensed, shaping itself into a radiant, dragon-like gauntlet around his fist.
Combined with his Six Paths–level physique, this punch wasn’t just destructive.
It was absolute.
Tōma grinned at the incoming white fists and threw his punch forward.
"Boom!"
The collision detonated the air itself.
A shockwave tore outward, slicing the battlefield apart with screaming winds. One of Kaguya’s fist-shadows shattered completely, dispersed like mist.
But there were hundreds more.
Tōma didn’t stop.
He punched again.
And again.
Blood surged up his throat. His arm shook violently. He swallowed the pain and kept going, smashing fist after fist head-on.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!"
The dragon-shaped gauntlet finally collapsed.
A moment later, one of the shockwaves struck him squarely.
Tōma was hurled backward, crashing into the ground like a meteor. Pain flooded his body so completely that he couldn’t even activate Flying Thunder God in time.
Before he could rise, more fists slammed down, burying him in explosions and dust.
Then—
Kaguya paused.
She felt it.
Space-time shifted.
Tōma had already escaped.
"Tch," she muttered.
"So fast..."
Even Yomotsu Hirasaka required a moment to activate. His teleportation didn’t.
Nearby, Tōma staggered beside a marked kunai and coughed violently, blood splattering the ground. Yet his eyes were brighter than ever.
"Again," he said.
And he rushed her.
Kaguya frowned, but raised her hand once more.
"Eighty Gods Vacuum Fists."
The sky filled with shockwaves again.
The result was the same.
Tōma smashed into them with his body, was blasted into the ground, and barely escaped with Flying Thunder God.
He was bleeding. His cloak was shredded. Standing was clearly becoming difficult.
But he kept smiling.
"Again!"
He charged a third time, like a man who had forgotten fear.
Black Zetsu felt something was deeply wrong.
This wasn’t reckless.
It was deliberate.
Tōma was being beaten down, over and over, yet his expression only grew more ecstatic.
Another volley descended.
But this time—
Tōma didn’t rush forward.
He looked up at the falling fists, and his smile widened.
Inside him, something clicked.
The final barrier shattered.
At last, the fusion was complete.
He exhaled slowly.
So this is it.
He raised his fist.
"Eighty... Gods Vacuum Fists."
Shockwaves erupted upward.
Not one. Not a few.
Hundreds.
They mirrored Kaguya’s attack perfectly, colliding head-on in the sky.
The battlefield vanished in overlapping explosions.
"What?!" Black Zetsu screamed.
Kaguya’s eyes widened.
They didn’t care about the outcome of the clash.
They cared about how it happened. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Tōma was already gone, teleporting away as the attacks collided.
He reappeared at a distance, one hand pressed to his head, laughing openly now. His eyes shone with fierce confidence.
"...Looks like I win."
"How?" Kaguya demanded, disbelief breaking through her composure.
"That technique is mine. It requires my body and my eyes. How can you use it?!"
Tōma chuckled.
"Mine’s incomplete," he said casually.
"No Byakugan. So it’s attack-only. I can’t make it both offense and defense like you can."
He had learned the structure.
That was enough.
Black Zetsu finally understood.
"Mother," he said hoarsely, staring at Tōma.
"He wasn’t trying to copy your technique."
"He was using it to learn... Kekkei Mōra."
Tōma shrugged as golden Yang Release chakra flowed through him, rapidly repairing his shattered body.
"Thanks. And yeah," he added lightly,
"I bet my life on it."
Black Zetsu clicked his tongue, shaken.
"He really is insane..."
Kaguya stared at Tōma intently, her Byakugan piercing through him.
And then—
She saw it.
Something that should not have existed.
Something that made her breath hitch.
