Naruto: Transmigrating With Yuta's Template-Chapter 204: Mysterious Healer?
The Konoha camp was filled with a somber atmosphere.
After a fierce battle last night, though Iwagakure's offensive was temporarily repelled, Konoha also paid a considerable price.
The wounded were continuously carried back to the camp, and the medical ninja were busy without a moment's rest, their conversations and commands tinged with deep exhaustion.
A post-battle debriefing was being held in the main tent at the center of the camp.
Seated at the head was Orochimaru, the overall commander of the front lines in the Land of Grass battlefield. His golden slit pupils slowly scanned the somewhat disheveled individuals present. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
Jonin like Shikaku, Choza, and Inoichi, along with several Chunin representatives, sat on either side. Minato was also among them.
Orochimaru's eyes held a thoughtful expression as he listened carefully to everyone's reports.
...
"That's basically it. Iwagakure's demolition squad attacked fiercely, but we successfully organized a counterattack in the third area. Their Earth Release barrier was forcibly breached by the Uchiha using Fire Release."
A Chunin finished his report, nodded to Orochimaru, and returned to his seat.
At this moment, in the corner, a pale-faced young Chunin hesitated for a moment, then raised his hand, his voice still somewhat weak. "Um... Orochimaru-sama, Shikaku-sama, there's something... I don't know if I should say it."
Everyone's gaze immediately turned to him.
Orochimaru raised an eyebrow, a slight smile appearing at the corner of his lips. "Anything on the battlefield could be valuable intel, it should all be said."
"Yes."
The young Chunin took a deep breath, seemingly recalling something, his eyes filled with confusion.
"I... I was cut in the abdomen by an Iwa ninja near the eastern forest edge..."
The young Chunin stood up and lifted his ninja vest. Everyone saw a clear, light pink scar on his abdomen.
"Although the wound has healed now, at the time, my entire abdomen was cut open, and my intestines spilled out. I thought I was going to die, but..."
The young Chunin's tone shifted, and a look of bewilderment appeared on his face.
He organized his words. "When I regained a little consciousness, I found myself dragged behind a bush, and I saw a completely unfamiliar young man. The bleeding from my wounds had stopped, and the wounds were healing rapidly. He was saving me."
The tent fell silent for a moment.
"A Konoha ninja saved you?" Shikaku asked calmly, his fingers unconsciously tapping the table.
"No." The young Chunin shook his head, his brows tightly furrowed.
"I didn't see any forehead protector related to any village on him. His Medical Ninjutsu was very great, such a severe injury healed quickly. I asked him, but he wouldn't say anything, only that he came to save me."
"No forehead protector?" Inoichi stroked his chin.
"Are you sure you haven't seen him in Konoha?" Inoichi asked further.
If he wasn't a Konoha ninja, why would he save him?
Before the young Chunin could answer, a surprised voice suddenly rang out.
A Jonin raised his hand, his eyes filled with astonishment. "Wait! Now that you mention it, I think I encountered a similar situation."
Everyone's gaze turned to him.
"I was injured by a hidden explosive tag and stabbed through the chest by a sneak-attacking Iwa ninja..."
The Jonin recalled. "In a daze, I felt someone pull me out of the rubble. When I regained consciousness, the wound on my chest had healed. If it weren't for the scar left on my chest, I would have thought I had fallen into a Genjutsu."
The atmosphere inside the tent became subtle.
"Who could it be?"
Choza mumbled, chewing on a steamed bun, "It shouldn't be a Konoha ninja. If it were a Konoha ninja, he wouldn't need to hide his identity from you."
Shikaku's brows furrowed deeply. This was completely illogical. On the battlefield, such unprovoked acts of rescue were utterly fantastical.
Did the person who saved them have ulterior motives? But the rescued individuals paid no price whatsoever.
Orochimaru's interest grew even stronger. "Interesting."
Minato had been listening silently, a glimmer of light in his azure eyes.
He looked at the young Chunin who had spoken first and asked, "Do you remember any of that person's physical characteristics?"
The young Chunin thought for a moment and said, "Short black hair, eyes that are a blue between dark and light, very fair skin."
Upon hearing these keywords, Minato's heart involuntarily quickened. A clear figure appeared in his mind.
Minato's thoughts raced. He was almost certain that the black-haired young man mentioned by the Chunin and Jonin was, in all likelihood, Haruki.
Minato noticed a gaze fall upon him. He looked up. Orochimaru's eyes held a smile, a chill quietly rising from the bottom of Minato's heart.
"Minato, do you know who he is?" Orochimaru stared at Minato and asked.
Minato raised his head, a perfectly feigned look of bewilderment on his face.
He shook his head helplessly and said, "I'm sorry, Orochimaru-sama, I don't know."
Orochimaru's gaze moved away from Minato.
Minato breathed a sigh of relief. He raised his eyes and exchanged a glance with Fugaku across from him. Their eyes met with a profound meaning that only the two of them understood.
No matter what, Haruki's identity could not be exposed. Minato and Fugaku reached a consensus on this point.
Since Haruki saved people and was unwilling to reveal his name, it meant he didn't want others to know his identity.
Haruki had saved their lives, and they could not repay kindness with enmity by exposing his identity.
The meeting continued.
After failing to deduce Haruki's identity, the ninjas had no choice but to give up and continue summarizing the results of this battle with Iwagakure.
