Chapter 208: Update on Nibi no Utsu!

"But Kazekage-sama..."

Ebizo still wanted to persuade him, his face showing a pleading look. "Your safety..."

"My safety and Sunagakure’s victory are one and the same." The Third Kazekage said decisively.

"If I cannot lead the village to victory, what is the point of staying in the village? My decision is final."

The Third Kazekage’s tone softened slightly. "After I leave, the village’s governance and defense will be jointly managed by you and elder Chiyo. I have complete trust in your abilities and experience. Guard Sunagakure well, so I have no worries."

Ebizo looked at the unchangeable determination in the Kazekage’s eyes. He knew that no amount of words could alter the young and powerful Kazekage’s resolve.

He opened his mouth, but in the end, all words of dissuasion turned into a long, heavy sigh.

"Please, Kazekage-sama, be extremely careful. The village cannot be without you."

The Third Kazekage nodded, saying no more. His gaze lowered, falling back onto the strategic map, his eyes sharp, a glint flashing within them.

Konoha White Fang?

Kenjaku was very much looking forward to fighting him with his new body. He wanted to see if the Konoha White Fang’s blade was more powerful, or if this body’s Magnet Release was stronger.

"Give the order." The Third Kazekage’s voice was cold.

"Prepare immediately. I will personally depart in one hour towards Dragon Bone Mountain. Inform the front-line command that I will arrive at the very front."

Having said that, the Third Kazekage strode towards the door, each step steady and powerful.

Everyone in the office watched his receding figure.

Only after the Third Kazekage’s figure was out of sight did Ebizo withdraw his gaze. He looked at his sister beside him, worry in his eyes. The matter of Akasuna had long spread throughout the village.

Chiyo glanced at Ebizo, seeing the worry in his eyes. She smiled. "Ebizo, we are people who have experienced many storms in life. What haven’t we seen in this lifetime? Don’t worry about me."

She turned and left the Kazekage’s office.

Watching her back, Ebizo sighed deeply. The more nonchalant his sister acted, the more he worried.

Nibi no Utsu.

Rain and mist were hazy. Rainwater dripped along the eaves, forming dense curtains of water.

Yahiko stood under the simple eaves, looking into the distance of Nibi no Utsu. The rain had soaked his orange hair, and a few wet strands clung to his forehead, but he was oblivious. The direction he was looking was the Land of Grass.

"I heard the situation in the Land of Grass is getting worse and worse. I wonder how Haruki and Nagato are doing." Yahiko said in a low voice.

Konan quietly folded a paper bird, her fingers deftly moving between the paper.

Hearing Yahiko’s words, her movements paused slightly, then she continued to complete the last few steps.

The paper bird spread its wings in her palm, as if ready to fly far away at any moment.

"Haruki and Nagato chose what they could do."

Konan said softly, placing the paper bird on the windowsill and looking at Yahiko, "And we also have things we must do."

Half a month ago, when Konan and Yahiko woke up to find only the two of them left in the room, they immediately understood everything.

Haruki and Nagato had both left letters in the room.

Haruki had set off for the Land of Grass before they even woke up. Nagato had secretly followed him out of the Land of Grass.

Only Yahiko and Konan remained in Nibi no Utsu.

Konan cried a lot at the time, but she quickly adjusted her mood. She still remembered what Haruki had said.

Haruki would come back!

Nagato would also come back!

She and Yahiko had to protect Nibi no Utsu well and strengthen the Akatsuki.

"We cannot betray their trust." Konan’s voice immediately restored Yahiko’s confidence.

He turned to face Konan, a familiar flame burning in his eyes.

He said, "We must establish the Akatsuki in the Land of Rain, so when they return, they will see an even stronger Akatsuki."

Konan smiled slightly, then folded another paper bird, nodding at Yahiko.

Over the past half month, Yahiko and Konan had not wasted time. They began rigorous training every dawn, constantly improving their strength.

They knew they didn’t have innate ocular jutsu like Nagato, nor Haruki’s special Curse Power and great talent. Therefore, they had to train even harder.

If they were strong, they could go to the Land of Grass with Haruki and Nagato. They didn’t want to be left behind again. They had to catch up with Haruki and Nagato and become ninjas as strong as them.

"Yo, what big plans are you two cooking up now?" A slightly playful voice sounded from behind Yahiko.

Kojiro walked out of the rain, leaning lazily against the door frame. Rainwater dripped along the brim of his straw hat.

"We’re discussing how to get more and more people to join the Akatsuki." Yahiko replied.

Nibi no Utsu was now on the right track. Kojiro had no interest in management. Rather than staying in Nibi no Utsu to manage, he preferred to travel throughout the Land of Rain, seeking like-minded companions.

He raised an eyebrow and smiled. "Sounds much more interesting than staying in Nibi no Utsu all day."

A week later, everything was ready.

After entrusting Nibi no Utsu to Muramasa and Genra, the three of them set off.

The rain had uncharacteristically stopped, and the long-unseen stars appeared in the night sky, their faint light scattered on the path as they left Nibi no Utsu.

Yahiko looked into the distance, filled with heroic aspirations. "We will let the light of peace spread throughout the Land of Rain and the Ninja World. When Nagato and Haruki return, we will let them see a different, stronger Akatsuki."

"We will come back."

Konan looked back at Nibi no Utsu with reluctance, promising, "We will definitely come back, and we will bring more like-minded people with us. Akatsuki will flourish throughout the Land of Rain and the Ninja World."
