Naruto: Transmigrating With Yuta's Template-Chapter 215: Will Haruki Marry Rika in the Future?
Aoki led Haruki and Nagato through the bustling main street of the red-light district, the surrounding clamor and scent of perfume gradually left behind him.
Haruki and Nagato’s steps turned into a relatively dim and narrow alley.
The lanterns here were much sparser, the light ambiguous, and pedestrians few. Only a few shops with simple facades were still open, mostly sundry stores selling daily necessities and cheap eateries.
Finally, their steps stopped in front of an old-looking two-story wooden building.
Above the entrance hung an old wooden sign, with the characters "Fujino Inn" written on it, the writing already a bit blurry.
Haruki observed the house before him. He preferred to stay on the main street.
It seemed Aoki wasn’t visiting this town for the first time, otherwise, he wouldn’t have found such a secluded place so easily.
Aoki lifted the faded indigo blue door curtain. Compared to the flamboyant signs on the main street, this place appeared particularly humble.
"This will do."
Aoki whispered, "It looks quieter and shouldn’t attract too much attention."
Haruki glanced at Nagato, who looked back at him in confusion.
Haruki: "..."
Alright, he was the only one who wanted to stay elsewhere.
Haruki stepped inside. The interior was slightly more spacious than it appeared from the outside, with very simple furnishings.
A small hall, with a shiny old wooden floor, and a few pots of unnamed green plants in the corner, adding a touch of vitality.
The air was filled with a faint scent of sandalwood, mixed with the clean smell of linen.
Haruki breathed a sigh of relief. At least it looked clean.
Behind the counter, a figure looked up at the sound.
It was a woman who appeared to be about twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old, wearing a simple lotus-root colored kimono. Her plain attire could not hide her graceful figure and a bright, captivating face.
She wore no heavy makeup, yet her eyes held an inherent charm, and a half-smile on her lips as she wiped a porcelain cup with a soft cloth.
Haruki gasped.
Just now, he clearly saw Aoki and the owner exchanging glances for a moment.
He finally understood why Aoki chose this place. Aoki and the owner must have known each other before.
"Welcome to Fujino Inn. Are the three of you checking in?"
The owner’s voice had a clear, magnetic quality that was very pleasant to listen to.
"Yes, two rooms, quiet ones."
Aoki spoke concisely, placing a small bag of coins on the counter.
The owner put down the porcelain cup, picked up the money bag, and weighed it, her smile deepening. Her gaze passed over Aoki and landed on Haruki and Nagato behind him.
Haruki’s gaze darted back and forth between Aoki and the owner, not missing a single interaction between them.
"Alright, what two charming little guests."
She walked around the counter, her steps light, and approached, examining Haruki with interest.
"This little sister’s eyes are beautiful."
Haruki: "..."
Little sister?
She couldn’t be talking about him, could she?
Haruki’s smile gradually twisted.
The owner reached out, very naturally, to pinch Haruki’s cheek, a familiar gesture.
Haruki instinctively took half a step back, a hint of wariness flashing in his eyes.
"I am not a little sister." Haruki stared blankly at the owner before him.
"Oh? It seems I misunderstood." The owner covered her mouth and chuckled.
"Don’t smile at Yuta..."
An extremely cold and violent aura of terror erupted in the room without warning.
The smile on the owner’s face instantly froze. Was the voice just now a hallucination?
She looked around warily, her face pale.
Nagato felt this terrifying and familiar aura, and he immediately looked at Haruki.
Aoki’s muscles instantly tensed.
What was wrong with this aura?
Haruki’s expression subtly changed. He helplessly extended his finger and gently stroked the ring enveloped in black mist.
With Haruki’s appeasement, the agitated Rika immediately calmed down. The cold and violent aura in the room went as quickly as it came, like a tide.
The terrifying pressure that had enveloped Aoki and the owner instantly vanished, as if it had never appeared.
The temperature returned to normal, as if it had been a hallucination of Aoki and the owner.
No one noticed Haruki’s subtle actions except Nagato.
Fine beads of cold sweat appeared on the owner’s forehead, and her eyes glazed over for a moment.
"The rooms are on the second floor, the two on the left are empty. Here are the keys."
The owner almost frantically shoved two old keys into Aoki’s hand and quickly retreated behind the counter.
Aoki couldn’t tell if what had just happened was a hallucination from his time returning from the battlefield.
He took the keys and said to Haruki and Nagato, "Let’s go."
The three silently ascended the creaking wooden stairs.
The corridor on the second floor was even dimmer, with only a small window at the end letting in a bit of moonlight.
Aoki handed one key to Haruki and said, "You two stay in this room. I’ll be next door. I’m going out to gather some information and will be back soon."
Haruki took the key, feeling skeptical in his heart.
Was he really going to gather information?
Haruki nodded. "Be careful."
Aoki seemed to sigh in relief, gave a couple more instructions, then turned and went downstairs.
The sound of his footsteps gradually faded away.
Only Haruki and Nagato remained in the corridor.
"Was Rika angry just now?" Nagato asked as Haruki opened the door.
Haruki nodded. "Yes, she didn’t want that owner to touch me."
Nagato’s usually calm features twisted for a moment.
"Nagato, what’s wrong?" Haruki pushed open the door and asked, seeing Nagato’s scrunched-up face.
"Uh, nothing."
The expression on Nagato’s face instantly returned to normal. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
He followed Haruki into the room. The room was simply furnished: two tatami mats, a table, two floor cushions, and a bathroom.
"Um, Haruki, I wanted to ask..."
Nagato hesitated, but under Haruki’s gaze, he finally asked, "Are you really going to marry Rika in the future?"
Hadn’t Rika already become a curse?
Haruki: "..."
Why was Nagato asking?
"Yuta..."
