The Dragon Emperor, still in his Dragonification form, was blasted backward by the explosion, his scales split and flesh torn.

Yet the Dragonification had greatly amplified his defenses. Shielded by his law armor, his wounds were not serious.

“Impossible! I refuse to believe it!”

Seeing Lin Moyu emerge completely unscathed once again drove the Dragon Emperor into a frenzy.

He lunged forward like a madman, a massive greataxe materializing in his grasp.

Law coiled around the axe; simply holding it caused the surrounding space to fracture. Its might was overwhelming.

The instant the axe appeared, the Dragon Emperor’s aura surged violently, as though he had stepped into an entirely different realm.

Lin Moyu’s heart tightened. Something had changed.

A primal warning echoed through his soul.

In this state, the Dragon Emperor was unrivaled.

Without hesitation, Lin Moyu unleashed Godslaying Lightning three times in a row.

They detonated midair, flooding the heavens with purple lightning and forming a raging sea of lightning that obscured all sight.

At the same time, he activated Antares’s scale.

Moments later, the Dragon Emperor burst through the lightning sea, charred and bleeding.

But Lin Moyu had vanished. His presence was gone; even the soul-lock had seconds earlier.

Realizing Lin Moyu had escaped, the Dragon Emperor flew into a towering rage.

“Come out! If you have the courage, stop running!”

“Come out! I will hack you into pieces!”

Like a madman, the Dragon Emperor swung the greataxe wildly at the void, tearing open terrifying rifts in the air.

The Demon Emperor witnessed Lin Moyu’s departure and the Dragon Emperor’s tantrum and sneered in disdain.

“What an utter fool. If Lin Moyu hadn’t left, you’d be the one dead.”

“So what if you hold the Dragon Emperor’s Greataxe? Even if you had 10,000 of them, it wouldn’t matter in front of him.”

Losing interest, the Demon Emperor reclined lazily upon his throne, his expression complicated.

“How should I deal with Lin Moyu from now on?”

“I can’t kill him… but surrendering isn’t an option either.”

“If I don’t surrender, once he reaches the half-step Transcendent God-level, he’ll march straight into the Abyss. Could I even stop him?”

“What a headache. How did the humans produce such a monster?”

“So troublesome…”

For the first time, the Demon Emperor seemed less like a sovereign ruler and more like an ordinary man troubled by an unsolvable dilemma. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

Antares watched as Lin Moyu reappeared nearby.

“Finished playing?”

“Yeah. I’ve had my fun.” Lin Moyu replied, unable to hide his excitement.

Antares eyed him strangely. The guy had clearly been outmatched and forced to retreat, so why did he look so pleased?

Lin Moyu explained, “Do you remember the talent I awakened during my third class awakening?”

“Comprehensive Rebirth? Hard to forget. A chance to resurrect every minute—ridiculously overpowered.” Antares snorted.

Lin Moyu nodded, “I discovered something new. When it triggers, it restores my soul as well.”

Boom!

Antares’s head slammed into the ground, carving out a massive crater. The flowing lights above spiraled chaotically, bursting like fireworks.

Lin Moyu blinked, “Was that reaction really necessary?”

Antares stared at him in disbelief, swallowing hard, “You’re telling me it regenerates the soul? Are you certain?”

“I’m sure.”

Using the Soul-Splitting Art, Lin Moyu could split off a portion of his soul to wield law and absorb the backlash.

Without damaging his foundation, he could split off five wisps at most.

Originally, he had planned to retreat earlier. But the Dragon Emperor’s fierce attacks had triggered Comprehensive Rebirth.

To his astonishment, not only had death been negated, his skill cooldowns reset, and his undead army revived, but his soul had been fully restored as well.

That meant he could split off five wisps from his soul again and continue unleashing Godslaying Lightning.

How could he not be thrilled?

Antares muttered under his breath, staring at him, “Freakish… absolutely freakish. How can such a talent even exist?”

Lin Moyu tilted his head, “In the outside world, there are countless powerhouses. Is there really nothing like this?”

Antares slowly shook his massive head.

“I’ve never heard of it. Soul-related talents are exceedingly rare. And even then, their effects are usually weak.”

“A talent that can restore the soul itself… I truly have never encountered such a thing.”

Since even Antares had never heard of it, Lin Moyu realized his talent might truly be extraordinary.

Antares’s tone turned solemn, “From now on, you must never tell anyone about this talent. It’s dangerous.”

The air seemed to thicken; the atmosphere shifted in an instant.

“What kind of danger?” Lin Moyu asked quietly.

Antares replied, “There are certain evil methods that can strip a person of their talents.”

A chill crept down Lin Moyu’s spine. So such methods really existed.

Of course, the world beyond was filled with countless powerhouses. Anything was possible.

His own world was nothing more than a small island in a vast ocean. Compared to what lay outside, it was fragile and ignorant.

His earlier excitement cooled into steady resolve. He warned himself not to grow complacent.

The world was far more complex and far more dangerous than he had imagined.

“I understand. I won’t tell anyone.” Lin Moyu said.

Antares grunted, “And remember, the Thunderclap Tower is only an external object. Don’t rely on it too much. With your current strength, you can’t unleash its full power, let alone control the Godslaying Fortress.”

Lin Moyu accepted the warning humbly. He still had a long road ahead.

“Thank you.” He said sincerely.

Antares huffed, “No need. Just stop trying to trick information out of me.”

Lin Moyu smiled, “No problem.”

He agreed—for now. Whether he could actually keep that promise was another matter.

Despite their banter, Lin Moyu felt genuine gratitude. Without Antares’s scale, he would have been in real danger.

The Dragon Emperor’s final strike, the greataxe, had been terrifying.

“Antares… that axe the Dragon Emperor used at the end…”

Antares said, “I know. It’s a Transcendent God-grade weapon. With it, the Dragon Emperor can reach a level infinitely close to the Transcendent God-level. You are no match for him.”

Lin Moyu frowned, “Aren’t Transcendent God-grade weapons meant to be wielded only by true Transcendent Gods?”

“His axe is special. It serves more than one function.”

“Until you possess Transcendent God-level combat power yourself, stay as far away from that axe as possible.”

Lin Moyu was inwardly shaken. If even Antares spoke with such caution, the threat had to be real.

Equipment hierarchy followed a clear progression: legendary, mythical, then Transcendent God-grade.

Transcendent God-grade weapons were the stuff of legend; none had ever appeared in human history.

Lin Moy’s gaze turned thoughtful, “Does the Demon Emperor also possess a Transcendent God-grade weapon?”

“Yes.” Antares admitted.

“Then when Righteous God said that even if I reached the Transcendent God-level, I still couldn’t eradicate the Abyssal Demons and the Dragonkind… was it because of those weapons?”

Antares glanced at him and chuckled, “You figured it out?”

Lin Moyu replied calmly, “Half intuition, half deduction. Make bold hypotheses. Verify them carefully.”

Antares laughed, “It does have something to do with those weapons.”

Lin Moyu murmured, “So those weapons don’t just let them approach the Transcendent God-level… they can also unleash power beyond it.”

“And since they aren’t beings of this world… perhaps those weapons can even summon other powerful beings?”

“You can get lost now!” Antares barked, glaring at Lin Moyu.
