New World with Four Husbands-Chapter 193: Quizen’s quest [3]
Chapter 193: Quizen’s quest [3]
The sun was almost out when Coco finished her morning routine.
She bathed herself thoroughly and let the jasmine scent of the soap stick to her skin, then she did her hair and changed her usual hair style, tying her hair in twin pigtails and braiding the rest, letting her braids hang over her shoulders.
She wore her usual linen shirt because it’s good for the morning breeze, slipped the robe and let the fabric drape down her frame, then she wore a black pants that hugged every curve of her body, accentuating her figure.
Her shirt was unbuttoned just enough to give the shirt some space so the air would creep in and her pants were snug around her hips and thighs.
The material was soft and form-fitting, clinging to her form like a second skin, making every curve of her body stand out naturally.
She exuded confidence, her heart swelling with pride at how good she feels about herself.
After checking herself out on the window’s reflection, she picked up the sleeping garden fairy from the pillow and placed her in the usual pocket in her robe.
Huffing contently to herself, Coco turned in her heels and exited the room, locking the door behind her.
"I have to let Mr. Tani know that I’ll come back later before picking up Quizen from the house." Coco mumbled to herself as she went down the stairs, every part of her body bouncing with every step.
She made a turn in the inn’s lobby and went inside of the pub, her eyes scanning the room to look for the inn’s owner.
"Coco!" A familiar masculine yet kind of a feminine voice echoed throughout the room, catching the attention of the awake patrons scattered in the place.
Coco perked up when she heard the voice, a small and warm smile spreading across her face.
"Mr. Tani!" Coco returned the enthusiastic energy for the pink haired man and approached him, her footsteps light and quick.
"Wow, you look incredible." Joachim complimented her as soon as she stopped in front of him, his eyes wide in surprise and amazement, "Are you going out of the village? You look like you’re going somewhere to have a date."
"Thank you." Coco laughed and smiled wider, "I’m actually going to see if I’m going on a shopping with my husband."
Joachim smiled and nodded his head in understanding. "I’m guessing that it’s a shopping with Quizen? You two looked like you had a good time last night after all."
"Yes, I’m hoping to have a nice shopping with him and I don’t think he had a good time with me last night." Coco denied his claim politely, "Which reminds me.. Do our village has a shop that sells instruments? Or any book related to music?"
Joachim blinked and tilted his head, pondering about the available shops in the village.
"Well.." He hummed and shifted in his feet, "I know one, but the quality of the instrument is not as good as the instrument from the Yolo Village or Yscehill Village."
"That’s fine." Coco assured him.
"It’s the shop before Old Jin’s shop. I don’t think you’ll miss it because the exterior is just as gloomy as the owner." Joachim said using a tone filled with affection, "You can find her sweeping outside of her shop at this time of the morning." freёweɓnovel.com
"Thank you." Coco thanked him with a gleeful smile, "I came down here to say that I won’t need breakfast because I’ll come back later. I promised to treat Quizen."
"Oh, if that’s the case, you don’t have to bring the basket or the lunch just yet. You can pick them up by the front desk after your shopping with your husband, I’ll inform Ruby about it." Joachim stated, assuring her that he got everything under control.
Coco left the inn after that and made a beeline towards the house of the four mediators while walking as still as possible to not wake up the sleeping fairy in her pocket.
At this point of the morning, the sun has already peeked through the horizon and had already cast a golden glow in the village which made everything around her look breathtaking.
When she arrived at the house, she was beaming with energy so she matched the rhythm of her knock to the buzzing energy inside her.
Knock.
Knock.
Knock.
Kno—
She couldn’t even finish her fourth knock when the door slammed open, revealing a well dressed up Quizen with his long hair tied up in a high ponytail.
Based on his attire, Coco already knew that he would go with her to the shop.
"You look pretty." Coco complimented him without hesitation and smiled, "Ready to go? I heard from the owner of the inn that the shop is already opened! So, we can have breakfast as soon as we’re done shopping."
"I thought I have to wait for you any longer." Quizen huffed out, stepping out of the house and closing the door behind him.
Coco blinked and frowned. "I’m sorry. Did I make you wait for me for too long?"
As if Quizen realized what he had just said, he froze and swallowed the lump in his throat, turning around stiffly and shook his head.
"That’s not what I meant.. Whatever, let’s just go." The mediator grumbled out and started walking.
Coco immediately jogged after him, being careful not to shake the robe too much to avoid troubling the fairy inside her pocket.
The way to the shop was quiet, but not the awkward type.
Both Coco and Quizen was just enjoying the morning breeze and scenery more to actually talk to one another.
It wasn’t a long walk from the house to the shop and Coco was quick to spot the person sweeping in front of a dark looking shop with no sign or whatsoever.
"That’s the owner." Quizen said and lead Coco to the shop, "Be nice. She’s not the type to mess with."
Since when did I mess with someone?
