Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven-Chapter 352: The Fragment of Heavenly Dao
"The general pattern is like this: you undergo Law Transformation and then reshape your body using the Law one or two times."
"When that happens, you can finally step into the 3rd Rank with the special Law Engraving on your core."
"But once you are in the 3rd Rank, you come to a realization that you have absolutely no potential to continue onward if you just had two Law Reshapings conducted prior to the formation of the core."
"Of course, if one completely reshaped their entire body, it’s a different story."
"But that requires a whole new level of talent and comprehension over Law which the majority simply don’t have."
"Even top geniuses might not achieve it properly."
"So you’re saying, the reshaping of the body and the Law Transformation is limiting the person’s individual performance at the 3rd Rank by reducing their potential?"
"Precisely," Grey said with a smile.
"Laws were never meant to be part of one’s transformation or evolutionary process."
"It should always be separated."
"The fact that I can fully utilize all the abilities of other Laws I know is definitive proof of it."
"For example, the Law of Disorder."
Grey waved his hands, and immediately the world around him distorted unnaturally, twitching like a glitch in the system.
"I can freely use it just fine."
"Law Transformation is a scam."
"Hence, I’ve decided to completely remove Law Transformation and make it a separate source."
"But isn’t it said that those with no Law Engravings wouldn’t be able to advance through the 3rd Rank?"
"Yes, but why do you think that happens?" Grey asked with a smile.
"Hm?" Lesser Heaven looked confused; it couldn’t think of a reason.
"The answer lies in Law Transformation itself," Grey said with a knowing look.
"Law Transformation cuts off the right path. If one goes through Law Transformation, it is without a doubt mandatory to do Law Reshaping."
"But take that part away completely, and you are left with a being that can soar through the 3rd Rank without any hiccups."
"Sure, a Domain requires Law. But the Law was never meant to be merged with the body."
"It was meant for the soul. Because Domain manifestation requires the soul not the body."
"That’s what I’ve learned after scouring through multitudes of memories in this space," Grey said with a laugh.
"I still don’t know how you managed to go through all those memories and still be completely fine."
"I’m just built different," Grey said with a casual smile.
Grey didn’t know how long had passed, but the merging with the Lesser Heaven was still in progress.
It had been a rough battle. The Lesser Heaven was fully under the control of the Abyssal God, but luckily the Chaos Lotus came in and cleansed off anything related to him.
That way, Lesser Heaven gained back clarity, and now Grey fully owned the Lesser Heaven’s body.
Speaking of the Chaos Lotus, it had gone completely silent.
There were two things he had noticed after the Chaos Lotus emerged from him: one, that his comprehension had increased a bit more, and two, that the Chaos Lotus was now in a resting state.
The Lotus was a weapon. It was constantly gathering power, and it had utilized it before to pull millions of lives lost in the Western Region to the River of Reincarnation, and to stop a Fifth Rank and a Fourth Rank Lesser Heaven simultaneously.
That aside.
With the bodies in the syncing process, the genetic limits of the Lesser Heaven would be rebranded. It would only reach peak strength once he fully assimilated it and broke the genetic limiters one by one.
Since that was the case, Grey decided to use this opportunity to restart his evolutionary path.
The Lesser Heaven had all sorts of unique powers, from Devouring to a personal inner space where the things it devoured—or rather, the information related to the things it devoured—was stored away.
The ’Devourer of Chaos’ skill made it so that the information didn’t go to the universal information layer but was just trapped inside the inner space forever.
The Lesser Heaven’s body was a true gem, and he planned on using it fully.
First was the insane amount of knowledge stored in here.
The knowledge and the power systems of other worlds, lesser planes of existence, and dimensions were all stored inside this space.
This was like a whole multiversal library for Grey to scour through!
And he was doing exactly that as the Lesser Heaven and his soul fully merged.
Another thing Grey noticed was that there was a special power brewing within the Lesser Heaven.
It was slow, but it was being slowly restored.
This power was none other than the power which allowed the Lesser Heaven to descend on other planes of existence.
The World Breaking Source Power!
It was a mysterious power, and he could comprehend absolutely nothing just from observing it.
But from the Lesser Heaven, he learned that there were an infinite amount of worlds out there.
With the authority of the Fragment of Heaven, it could scour through other planes of existence, devour them, and get stronger.
The authority of devouring and the power to store the World Breaking Source Power came precisely from the Fragment of Heaven.
The day he began merging with the Lesser Heaven, his Sainthood had been very active.
It resonated heavily with the Lesser Heaven, much to Grey’s surprise. After the consciousness of the Lesser Heaven gained clarity, it gave him the crucial information.
It was a direct fragment of the Heavenly Dao!
The reveal was shocking, to say the least.
"So what are your plans?"
"What else? We are going to create a new Nexus Path."
"And make it so that there won’t be random bullshit restrictions placed on it like the Law Transformation or compatibility issue."
"And I already know what power system to take reference from."
Grey snapped his hand, and immediately a huge library appeared.
Grey went around the shelves and stopped in front of a book labeled "Energy Arts Cultivation."
This one was good. He liked it very much.
That’s because while it had overall more stages to it than the main world’s evolutionary realms, it held more unique powers, and Grey believed he could use it as a base.
