Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven-Chapter 390: Origin of Eterna
"As you said before, Eterna, I am beyond calculations. What you might never have expected has happened." Grey said with a smile.
Grey slowly stretched his hands out.
"That planet... is completely mine now. And all it took me was reaching the 4th Rank."
"The path I had taken was wrong until now. I understood what was wrong and fixed it, and this is the final result."
"A power that can directly crush a planet while being an early 4th Ranker," Grey said, a grin forming on his face.
"Eterna, by now, you should have realized that I have merged with a Lesser Heaven."
"Through its powers, I managed to visit other worlds and also enter the Abyss."
"..." Eterna’s expression swiftly changed when she heard the term Abyss.
"I met the Abyssal God there," Grey added silently.
"WHAT?" Eterna’s eyes widened in disbelief hearing this.
The Abyssal God. If that name was spoken to someone from a backwater world, they probably wouldn’t give much importance to it. But to the beings of the starry sky, he was a great terror and a source of corruption.
The Great Conqueror of Worlds, The Abyssal God.
Hearing his name from Grey was something Eterna never thought she would hear like this.
Before she could speak another word, Grey continued.
"The Abyssal God and I are enemies."
Grey subtly mentioned their conversation.
"You are the Fateless One?" Eterna’s eyes widened, her probability gears beginning to turn.
"It makes sense now!" She exclaimed in a different form of energy.
"It explains why my calculations couldn’t get an accurate result on you."
"To think... you are a Fateless One."
"You know about the Fateless One?" Grey was likewise surprised.
"Yes. You should already know that I don’t contain many of my memories. They are split right now, but information on the Fateless One... I know about that," Eterna said with a nod.
"The Fateless One. This is a being that almost every higher being is wary of."
"Whenever a Fateless One arrives, huge changes are bound to happen, and the experts of the starry sky have been preparing for such an occasion."
"Two Fateless Ones have already been birthed. Now only one remains," Eterna added.
"Two?" Grey shook his head. "There are three. While you were busy with the Western Region, I was busy fighting one of the Fateless Ones."
"..."
Eterna fell silent when she heard this.
This was unexpected. She didn’t expect something like this to happen.
He was already fighting a Fateless One?
And more importantly, how come she couldn’t find any traces of him in the Blue Star?
She searched through all sorts of databases, and yet nothing came back. There wasn’t even a recording available during the time Grey fought the man.
"He is no ordinary figure," Eterna said with some shock. "He had completely erased his traces."
Grey simply nodded. He was aware of this.
"With the three of us active, a great war is soon going to begin, Eterna. We need to prepare," Grey said with a serene look on his face.
By now, he held no fear.
The other two, they were unique, sure.
But Grey held something neither of them did.
Nexus Energy.
It was the ultimate energy. It existed above everything. Even literal gods that were said to be above higher planes of existence bowed in front of its power.
War?
In front of absolute power, there was no such thing.
He had Nexus Energy, after all.
He will one day reach the Nexus and become the center of all things.
Not even the Abyssal God or Tian Yuan could stop him from doing that.
"Since we are on the topic and now that things have reached this point..."
"Eterna, I am curious. How did you enter the Blue Star?"
"You are a variable in its history."
Eterna fell silent hearing this.
If this was before, she would probably hesitate to answer Grey. But he was a being that could not be ignored, and feeding him information was probably better than him not knowing anything.
Because, in the end, Eterna knew that Grey would find his answers one way or another through other means.
"Protocol Eterna," she slowly spoke.
"That was my name countless eons ago," Eterna said softly.
"I started out as a basic computer of an Evolver. Just a small computer with not even the basic functioning of an AI."
"But the Evolver that created me... he was a lowly being from a backwater planet. He held a particular interest in the information layer and technology. He was a half-human and half-mecha being."
"His genius excelled beyond other kids, but back then he was as weak as an ant. But one day he woke up determined. He wanted to revolutionize the world."
"He was the forefather of the Pan-Cosmic Human Alliance, the one that brought humanity across the starry sky to soar through the skies of this huge world."
"He reached heights no human could and created me, Protocol Eterna. I existed since his early times as a construct, but eventually, I made a breakthrough myself. My calculations transcended the third transcendental limits by calculating one of the many mysteries of the world."
"After that, I became the Overseer of the Pan-Cosmic Human Alliance."
"The one you are speaking to is the Main Consciousness of Protocol Eterna."
"What? You are the Main Consciousness?" Grey was dumbfounded.
He thought Eterna was a part of a bigger being or something.
But it turned out she was actually the entire thing?
"But why would you willingly enter the Blue Star?"
"Because of the Chaos Seal," Eterna said softly. "The Chaos Seal not only sealed away the Blue Star but also the entire galaxy along with it."
"A Saint of our universe predicted that a great calamity will be unleashed from the galaxy once it reemerges. The man that created me left one single message for me before he ascended to a higher plane: Keep this world safe. I am just fulfilling one of his duties."
"I automated Protocol Eterna in the starry sky and charged towards the area where the galaxy once was. But in the process, I encountered a strange yet powerful turbulence that even affected the information layer... something that shouldn’t exist in this world. The turbulence broke me apart, and pieces of myself went missing, with one of them falling into the Blue Star."
