Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven-Chapter 428: The Universe is reaching finality
"How was my performance, Teacher?" Carter asked in a serious tone as he sat on the side of the spaceship.
"Well, it was certainly good," Grey said with twitching lips.
In fact, he went far beyond expectations. From the way Carter carried himself, it was clear he was not the type to go overboard. But what he just did was, without a doubt, going completely overboard.
But in the end, it did not really matter because Grey got exactly what he came for. Carter also acted as a perfect distraction against the Appraiser.
The man would most probably try to trace them. But Carter was not to be looked down upon. He was highly strong and possessed massive connections. The Astral Genesis Citadel was absolutely nothing to mess with, especially since the High Marshal of Arcane was his direct disciple as well.
Overall, it was very safe at the moment. He fully expected the fallout to go smoothly.
The spaceship soon reached its destination. From the Blackwell Alliance to Star Blue, the cosmic journey took an entire day. There was a massive distance that strictly needed to be covered.
As soon as they safely reached Star Blue, Grey gave Carter some brief instructions regarding the Appraiser. He then told his new disciple to continue hammering the ores exactly like he had instructed before they left the other day.
With Carter out of the way, he took Eterna directly into the second layer of space. He flawlessly formed a sub-dimension around them and deployed the Heaven Severing Barrier for absolute extra safety.
"Alright, you can securely merge with the fragment now," Grey spoke as he casually threw the pocket cloud server directly into Eterna’s waiting hands.
She caught it with her telekinesis, and her digital avatar immediately descended directly into the physical artifact.
Her eyes flickered wildly as raw numbers and complex data began to violently pour into her. At the exact same time, Data Energy erupted outward. A dense information current from the Information Layer descended directly into the mortal plane and revolved heavily around her.
Bzzt!
Reality began to rapidly glitch as Eterna’s expression slowly began to change.
Foreign information poured directly into her artificial mind like a crashing tidal wave. Data she originally did not possess violently integrated with her core.
With each passing moment, the deep frown on her face continued increasing without a single stop.
However, just as quickly, the frown completely disappeared.
"It is fully done," Eterna spoke clearly.
Right now, she exhibited a terrifying aura that was entirely unmatched by the previous Eterna. She seemed just as highly strong as his new disciple.
This was vastly better than he had expected.
But at the exact same time, he naturally noticed her suddenly furrowing her brows with a heavy frown once again.
Maybe she had just seen something she absolutely should not have?
"What happened, Eterna? You do not look so well," Grey inquired with genuine curiosity.
"..." A clear look of hesitation passed over Eterna’s face. But she simply sighed and raised her hand.
She waved her glowing hands, and Data Energy erupted directly from her, flying straight toward where Grey was standing.
Seeing this, he quickly gathered up the incoming Data Energy and safely transmitted it directly into his personal server.
Immediately, a deep frown appeared on his face.
He saw a clear visual recording of a man with a cyborg-like head and glowing red eyes. He wore full-body, android-like armor and looked silently toward what appeared to be a massive, swirling black hole.
Right next to him floated a glowing orb of glitching light.
"Do you see that black hole, Eterna?" the armored man asked.
"It just finished completely dismantling and devouring the Alpha 01 Star which had gone supernova. It completely devoured it whole."
"That is the grim current situation of our entire world." The man turned slowly to the globe of glitching light.
"Our universe is slowly but surely making its way toward its absolute Finality." 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
"This is something that we absolutely cannot stop. Only a supremely strong being that flawlessly surpasses the very limits of the universe and successfully enters the endless chaos outside can put a permanent stop to this."
"But since the Second Coming of Heaven, absolutely no new Evolvers of such a supreme status have emerged from our dying universe."
"If things do not eventually work out, I shall personally forge a cosmic craft that can transcend infinity. I will reach up to the higher heavens above that view our puny world with cold indifference and desperately seek their help."
"Remember Eterna. During my long absence, the critical matters of the Pan-Cosmic Human Alliance will rest entirely within your highly capable hands. I purposely developed you and the other supreme AIs so that humanity can safely live in peace and absolute order."
"You are a unique being with a massive amount of potential. Do not ever forget that. I am completely sure that you will one day reach the supreme state I mentioned. And if you do, please save the universe for me. Even though I grew up with people constantly looking down on me, I still love this world dearly. Without the absolute protection of the endless walls of the world shielding us from the outer chaos, absolutely no life can ever be birthed."
...
"Well, this was highly unexpected," Grey commented dryly.
"That armored man was the original founder of the Pan-Cosmic Human Alliance," Eterna spoke in a highly complicated, quiet tone.
"Still... Finality, eh?" Grey had definitely heard that exact term before. It was from Jasmine.
She had previously told him that the endless reality was constantly, inevitably moving toward Finality.
Did that not strictly mean absolutely all of the worlds were actively facing the exact same sort of ultimate destruction?
Just what exactly was Finality?
Could he perhaps learn this terrifying power himself?
From what he currently knew, Finality simply meant the absolute or ultimate conclusion of all things.
It was a very scary thought, for sure.
"For now, let us not actively worry ourselves about it." Grey shook his head. "The absolute main priority should just be finding your other scattered fragments and making you completely whole again."
Eterna softly nodded in agreement.
"With my processing power having vastly increased, should I go and actively check what the Daoye Palace is currently up to?"
"Yeah," Grey nodded firmly. "Go for it."
With that safely settled, he quickly went back to his mansion to meet up with his two girls. They happily spent some quality time together, as he had technically ditched them for an entire day after all.
"By the way, Grey. We are currently preparing a small memorial event for my ancestor, Brandon. Are you coming?" Valeria, who was comfortably leaning on his shoulder, asked softly.
"Brandon? Huh," Grey nodded in realization.
That ambitious guy was completely dead now. He could absolutely no longer reincarnate since Valeria had successfully taken over his entire Origin Core.
