The giant’s royal court is vast, covering an area almost indistinguishable from a human city. Huge stone houses are everywhere, and the roads are paved with gray, massive stones. Humans standing before such structures feel as though they are at the foot of a mountain.

Black Widow surveyed the place, her astonishment growing. If this truly was a city, Roosevelt Kingdom’s satellites should have detected it long ago.

But Roosevelt Kingdom had never discovered it.

Even her skills at tracking routes without visual information failed.

This suggested that the path to the Giant Kingdom must lie between the virtual and the real. Black Widow even suspected the royal court was in another world.

Storm Duke asked, “Can you not tell me his identity?”

Prophet shook his head. “I cannot.”

Storm Duke raised his wrist, looking at Prophet with anger in his eyes. “My daring journey here should demonstrate my loyalty to the royal court, shouldn’t it? I came, yet you refuse to tell me who stabbed me in the back? He caused me to be questioned and doubted in Roosevelt Kingdom, yet I don’t even know who he is. Am I not a son of the forest?”

“I believe in Grandpa’s prophecy, so his plan is the Giant clan’s plan,” Prophet admitted, “I haven’t fully trusted you either.”

Storm Duke frowned. “There are those with telepathic abilities among the Giant kin; they can sense my thoughts.”

Prophet shook his head. “After your ascension to Demi-God, no one among the Giants can sense your thoughts anymore. Tell us, what do you need us to do?” Prophet still refused to mention Qing Chen’s identity.

This Prophet stood four meters tall, his head clean-shaven, his face more delicate, looking like a handsome young monk.

This made him stand out amongst the giants, strikingly fresh and clean.

The Arbiters and Black Widow could clearly sense that the Giant Prophet didn’t fully trust Storm Duke, otherwise, he wouldn’t still have the vines restraining him.

Furthermore, the Giant Prophet refused to reveal the identity of the friend in the great prophecy, and wouldn’t even let Storm Duke know how to reach the royal court.

If they trusted each other, there wouldn’t be so many problems.

Of course, under these circumstances, Storm Duke still dared to come alone, demonstrating his courage and determination.

In the kingdom, Storm Duke’s courage and determination were well-known. Twenty years ago, when the old Duke passed away, he single-handedly stormed into his brother’s controlled army to persuade the Storm City army to help him seize the Duke’s position.

Crucially, he actually succeeded.

This act was like something from legends, seeming to not exist in the real world.

In terms of strength, courage, and determination, this Storm Duke truly deserved the title of Duke. At this point, Storm Duke found a stone block, sat down with his sword at his side, and said coldly, “It doesn’t matter if you don’t tell me, but I know the prophecy too. I am also a member of the Giant clan.”

Storm Duke naturally knew the prophecy; every Giant did. This prophecy was incredibly famous!

Giants are also big mouths! 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

“One day, a friend of the Giants will arrive from the edge of the ocean. That friend wields thunder, and their pupils hold a golden light. He is the faith on the mountain peak, the creature in the waves, the gathering of eagles in the sky. He can understand our language and will ignite a new fire for the Giant clan, ushering in a new era. He will save us from fire and water, guiding us forward,” Storm Duke mused.

Black Widow couldn’t help but say, “Isn’t this Joker? This is Joker!” Black Widow’s face showed a surprised expression. As the intelligence chief of the Arbiters, she naturally knew the rumors surrounding Joker.

This prophecy was practically reciting Joker’s ID number!

It’s too precise!

The Arbiters looked at Black Widow with strange expressions.

Black Widow was still searching for Joker’s trail in Storm City, yet he had already started working with the Giants. Was Black Widow incompetent, or was Joker too cunning?

Black Widow remained silent.

The Arbiters thought, how did Joker do this?

Was the Joker in Storm City a fake?

Or was Joker attracting attention in Storm City while his subordinates infiltrated the Forbidden Forest?

After all, the shooting angles in the murder videos in Storm City were so secretive, and that Joker seemed so real.

Wait.

The Arbiters caught a clue: the Joker in Storm City never used thunder, sniping, or the Autumn Leaf Blade. You could explain it by saying the targets were too weak, not requiring those abilities.

But the target was repeatedly assassinating small figures, which paled in comparison to Joker’s current plans in the Forbidden Forest.

Was a mere baron worth such a huge assassination effort by Joker?

His actions seemed more like a deliberate attempt to create confusion in Storm City using special means.

Therefore, the one in Storm City must be a fake; the real Joker had already reached the Forbidden Forest!

An Arbiters looked at the giants and said, “Joker must be in the Forbidden Forest. According to battle reports, you even calculated a Fate Weaver, forcing the Fate Weaver to take action twice before seeing the complete fragments of fate. I don’t believe this was your doing.”

The giants looked at him, unhappy: Do you think we’re stupid? Although we couldn’t have devised such a plan, you can’t say that!

The problem is, ordinary people really can’t force the Fate Weaver into the second stage of the battle system.

At this moment, the Giant Prophet had frowned.

The Giant King had spoken too quickly, revealing too much information to Storm Duke. They shouldn’t have let him connect it to the prophecy.

Once connected, he’d know that the friend in the great prophecy was Qing Chen from the East Continent.

Should they kill Storm Duke? That would be a good way to protect Qing Chen.

Unfortunately, the Giant Prophet’s prophecy was too random; he hadn’t reached the level of the first-generation Prophet and couldn’t see the future clearly.

This Prophet was still young; he needed time to grow.

Killing a Demi-God’s aid without knowing the situation would be rash.

Therefore, before confirming Storm Duke’s loyalty, the Giant Prophet didn’t want to kill him, but he also needed to protect the friend in the prophecy.

Prophet calmly said, “That friend is already on his way to the royal court. If you stay a while longer, you can talk to him personally.”

Storm Duke shook his head. “No, I can’t stay here for more than 24 hours; I won’t have a chance to see him.”

He sincerely continued, “Since he’s the friend from the prophecy, I understand his importance to the Giant clan, so I won’t ask more. However, I hope he’ll be able to distinguish friend from foe next time, and not ruin my plans. In my plan, once I secure Outpost 9, I can immediately open the throat to the Royal Capital for the Giant clan. Then, we will use all the beasts in the Forbidden Forest to charge straight in, and even if the Fate Weaver can foresee it, they won’t have time to mobilize all their forces to defend.”

Storm Duke continued, “With the Storm City army turning against us, plus our Giant clan’s strength, the entire continent’s situation will change. But now it’s different; the royal family has grown suspicious of me, and the previous plan is no longer feasible; even I am in danger.

Prophet asked, “So, what do you need us to do?”

Storm Duke drew a map on the ground with a branch: “You’ve already opened a breach in Outpost 6. The royal family is now preventing me from returning to Outpost 9, but I’ve decided to take a gamble and abandon it, working with you to tear open a path from Outpost 6. Attacking the Royal Capital is impossible, but we can still do many things. We can go through the mountains and attack Outpost 5. Then, after eliminating them, the Royal Capital will be undefended.

The main forces of the Blackwater City and Phoenix City armies are concentrated in Outpost 5.” The old Giant King solemnly asked, “Do you intend to change your banner and completely side with the Giant clan?”

“Yes,” Storm Duke said, “I am a son of the forest. I endured humiliation through weight training, and now it’s time to return to the forest’s embrace. Black Leaf Plain is my home; I’m going home.”

Prophet pondered for a moment. “What about Silver City?”

Storm Duke said, “The Silver City Black Knights have always disliked participating in wars; they don’t necessarily listen to all the royal family’s orders. They don’t care who becomes king. Once Blackwater City and Phoenix City are defeated, they will choose to stay out of it.”

Prophet closed his eyes, waited half an hour, and then opened them. “I agree.”

Storm Duke got up, pulled out a piece of paper from his chest, and said, “Then I’ll be going. The paper contains the detailed battle plan and timing. Next will be the era of the Giant clan overthrowing Roosevelt Kingdom’s rule.”

Prophet didn’t speak.

The Giant King asked, “What about those who came with you?”

Storm Duke said, “Their loyalty isn’t to me. Once we decide to go to war against Roosevelt Kingdom, we can’t leave these unreliable people behind. Please kill them all.”

All the Arbiters, including Black Widow and all the giants, looked at the tall Storm Duke in shocked amazement.

These were more than twenty core members of the Arbiters organization, one-third of the total core members, and he just said to kill them!

An older man yelled, “Storm Duke, why are you doing this to me!”

Storm Duke sneered, “Don’t you think I know you’re the King’s man? You’ve been watching me for 23 years, and you really thought you were hiding well?”

The old man was stunned. He roared, “Storm Duke, you’ve betrayed the kingdom; you won’t have a good ending!”

The giant stepped on the old man, preventing him from moving no matter how he struggled, allowing him only to curse.

Black Widow asked blankly, “Why kill me?”

“Just a toy. Do you think I don’t know you’ve already had murderous intentions towards me?” Storm Duke sneered, “For three years, you’ve been secretly contacting the Rebellion behind my back. Unfortunately, the Rebellion is just a bunch of useless mud. But contacting the Rebellion is one thing; you also secretly contacted the royal family.”

Storm Duke didn’t look back, turning to the giants beside him and saying, “Take me out.”

As he walked away, the giants simply twisted the necks of the Arbiters one by one, as easily as killing chickens, brutally.

It must be said that Storm Duke was indeed ruthless and clever. Three of these Arbiters were A-Class, and the rest were B-Class.

Killing them outside the royal court would be difficult even for a Demi-God.

But here, all Metahumans became ordinary people!

The Giant King looked at Prophet. “You shouldn’t have trusted him.”

“Mm,” Prophet nodded, “I couldn’t sense his thoughts, but his ambition was like a burning flame, wanting to burn the entire Black Leaf Plain.”

“Then why did you agree to his plan?”

Prophet said, “I exchanged a year of my life for a piece of destiny’s revelation. I saw Outpost 5 turn to ashes, human corpses piled high on the ground, blood drying black in the soil, and I even saw the Phoenix Air Fortress falling to the ground.”

The Giant King understood. Prophet had seen the outcome of the war, matching Storm Duke’s description.

He was about to ask something else, but he heard Black Widow, before the giant twisted her neck, suddenly shout, “Wait, I know your friend! The friend in the great prophecy!”

All the giants looked over.

Only three Arbiters remained; Black Widow had to save herself. “His name is Qing Chen, codename Joker. He’s currently Marquis Barton’s butler, and he’s in the Third Division! He commanded the previous battle against the Fate Weaver! I know his identity, but I never revealed it to Storm Duke, or anyone!”

The Giant Prophet finally looked over.

The information Black Widow provided was too crucial. If this information had been revealed earlier, their friend would have been in danger.

So, as Black Widow said, she kept it a secret for their friend.

The two remaining Arbiters were shocked. They thought Black Widow’s abilities were lacking, but it turned out she had left herself such a strong escape route!

The Giant King said, “Why did you keep it a secret for him?”

Black Widow said, “I was abused by Storm Duke, so I wanted to unite various forces to kill him. Of course, I didn’t know that Storm Duke was one of you.”

Prophet shook his head. “Just keeping it a secret for him isn’t enough for us to spare your life. You’re not our friend. Kill her.”

Black Widow quickly said, “He was naked with me alone in a room.”

The Arbiters: “???”

The giants immediately became interested, their eyes wide like bells, full of gossip. Black Widow’s words were very suggestive, implying a lot of stories.

However, this was something she said to save her life. Strictly speaking, there wasn’t a single false word in this sentence, as she had indeed personally searched Qing Chen and had him undress before her.

The Giant King looked at a giant. “Illusion!”

Use telepathy; is what she said true?

That giant: “Hmph!”

True!

Now, the giants respected Black Widow. By human standards, Black Widow was indeed quite beautiful, tall, and somewhat resembled Jennifer Connelly, an Outer World actress.

It seemed normal for the friend in the great prophecy to have something happen with her.

The Giant King pondered for a moment, signaling the giants to release her and even untie the vines on her hands.

The meaning was clear: From now on, you are also our friend. Of course, the most important thing was that Black Widow did know Qing Chen’s identity and did help keep it a secret.

The Giant King pointed to the two Arbiters. “What about them?”

The Arbiters looked at Black Widow expectantly. Black Widow calmly said, “They’re not with me. Kill them.”

The Arbiters: “???”

Before they could beg for mercy, the giants behind them easily twisted their necks. However, soon everyone didn’t know what to do. Should they keep Black Widow or let her go?

At this time, a giant who could speak human language asked awkwardly, “How much do you know about that friend?”

Black Widow thought for a moment and said, “I’ve studied him specifically. I even know what he did in the East Continent.”

The giants exclaimed excitedly, “Wow.”

Many people in the world studied Qing Chen, but in terms of understanding, Black Widow was definitely one of the most knowledgeable. After all, understanding an enemy required more detail than understanding a friend.

Black Widow had previously treated Qing Chen as the number one enemy in the East Continent, the kind that had to be eliminated.

She thought for a moment and said, “This friend is a Time Traveler. He’s a disciple of a Demi-God from the East Continent, and he’s about to become a Demi-God himself, so many people in the West Continent want to quickly eliminate him to prevent him from becoming the greatest threat.”

The giants: “Wow!”

Black Widow continued, “He’s the heir to the East Continent Qing Family Conglomerate—no, he’s already the chairman of the Board of Directors, the same level as Storm Duke. It’s just that the East Continent doesn’t have a king; he’s essentially the emperor of the southwest region.”

The giants: “Wow!”

Black Widow: “He’s a cultivator and also an Awakened One. When he was a Supervisor in City 10, he scared all the officials so much that they didn’t dare to go out at night for fear of being arrested.” She started from Qing Chen’s rise to prominence, talking about how he became a master for another conglomerate, how he became a Supervisor in City 10, how he was captured by Shendai in the north, and how he killed his way out with his colleagues.

She also talked about Qing Chen’s attacks on Osaka, Amsterdam, and Mount Everest. The most important thing was his role in saving the day during the City 10 Rat Tide disaster. Later, Black Widow’s throat was dry from talking; she simply sat down in front of the Giant King’s palace gate, facing thousands of giants sitting cross-legged like elementary school students, listening attentively, afraid of missing any details.

The giants’ lives were very monotonous. They would only go out at night to catch night spirits or make babies.

There was no drama, no television, no internet, and not even a fully formed written language and cultural heritage.

Otherwise, a prophecy wouldn’t have been repeated for 130 years, to the point of being worn out.

Now, the Giant Kingdom suddenly had someone who could tell stories.

What is this? This is happiness!
