No Trespassing! My Aloof Brother-Chapter 131 - 129: Threatening with Death [2nd Update]
Chapter 131: Chapter 129: Threatening with Death [2nd Update]
Madam Reid is experienced and not foolish. Listening to Maya Spencer’s questions, she naturally realized that this girl wasn’t trying to avenge Henry Reid but was suspecting her, suspecting that she was the one who threw her into the sea.
Thinking of Maya Spencer’s little schemes, she found it laughable. If the man who threw her into the sea had been caught, could she still sit here calmly by her son’s side? With her explosive temper, she would have beaten him to death and hung his body on the street.
Therefore, she deliberately pretended to be furious and asked, "Where’s the person? Maya Spencer, you wouldn’t have handed him over to the police out of kindness, would you? You were unconscious in the sea."
Maya Spencer watched Madam Reid’s changing facial expressions and listened to her tone, trying to glean clues, but she couldn’t decipher her true emotions. She was still too inexperienced to gauge Madam Reid’s emotions accurately.
However, Elia Spencer was upset, hurriedly putting down the towel and quickly walking over to Maya Spencer, grabbing her wrist to lead her to find the culprit.
Just when they reached the hospital room’s door, they bumped into Liam Spencer.
The man looked at Maya Spencer being dragged by Elia Spencer, his sharp eyes staring straight at Elia Spencer, making her shiver and immediately let go of Maya Spencer, anxiously questioning him.
"Third Brother, Maya Spencer said you’ve already caught the culprit. Where is he? He’s left Henry Reid in a coma, still not waking up. We can’t let this go easily."
Although Elia Spencer wanted revenge on the little demon Maya, she didn’t dare act rashly with her third brother backing her, so she had to unify her target, venting her anger on the culprit.
Liam Spencer listened to the girl’s questioning, his gaze settling on Maya Spencer. There was no need to think much; he knew Maya Spencer was probing Madam Reid. She just underestimated Madam Reid; Maya Spencer was still a few levels behind in playing psychological tactics with her!
He glanced at Maya Spencer, directly ignoring Elia Spencer’s questioning, walked into the hospital room, brow furrowed, eyes fixed on the unconscious Henry Reid on the bed.
Madam Reid watched Liam Spencer’s gaze, took a deep breath, nervously asked, "Young Master, what did the doctor you invited say? When can our Henry wake up?"
Liam Spencer listened to Madam Reid’s question, gave her a dismissive glance, and leisurely said, "The doctor said Henry Reid has severe oxygen deprivation, the brain tissue is already damaged, and he’ll be like this for life."
"What?" Madam Reid listened to Liam Spencer’s report, her legs gave out, and she collapsed heavily onto the single sofa behind her, trembling all over, wanting to say something but unable to speak for a moment.
At the same time, Elia Spencer, standing at the door of the hospital room, was stunned, her eyes red, unable to describe her feelings. How could Henry Reid not wake up? Maya Spencer had woken up, so why couldn’t he? Did she really have to watch over him for life? Would he never open his eyes to see her, never see how good she was?
The atmosphere in the hospital room suddenly became extremely heavy, even Maya Spencer’s mood became heavy. She always believed Henry Reid could wake up, but what was the news Liam Spencer brought?
Didn’t he like her? Then why not wake up? Why let her carry the psychological burden for life? She would rather it be her lying in bed, not wanting to owe him anything.
Liam Spencer’s arrival was like a nightmare, shattering everyone’s hopes. Even if the truth was so, they’d rather know it a bit later, so they could hold onto hope a bit longer.
Liam Spencer looked at the pale-faced Madam Reid, turned around, and instructed Elia Spencer, "Elia, take Madam Reid to see a doctor."
Elia Spencer listened to his command, wiping tears while walking to Madam Reid, helping her up from the sofa, and leading her out of the hospital room.
At this moment, only he and Maya Spencer were left in the hospital room. Oh! And an unconscious Henry Reid.
After Elia Spencer and Madam Reid left, Maya Spencer finally couldn’t hold on any longer, leaning against the wall, slowly sliding down until she sat on the floor. Only then did she lift her small hands to rub her face, trying to calm herself.
If her appearance cost Henry Reid his life, she’d rather never have come to the Spencer Family, never have met Henry Reid. Rather not avenge this grudge than have him lie in bed for life.
Liam Spencer looked at the girl’s dejected appearance, walked closer to her, lifted his right leg, nudged her, and asked, "What? Are you planning to mourn in advance?"
"Can you let me be quiet for a moment?" Maya Spencer’s voice was hoarse. She felt terrible, with her throat tight as if she’d swallowed broken glass.
"Maya Spencer, I’m not dead yet! Dare to mourn for another man?" Liam Spencer said, grabbing her wrist and pulling her up from the ground.
The man’s actions were forceful, and Maya Spencer, without any warning, staggered and fell directly into his arms when he pulled her up.
In an instant, Maya Spencer’s emotions were out of control. She hated, hated Liam Spencer. Hated how he wanted to control even her emotions. Couldn’t she be unhappy? Couldn’t she want to be alone for a moment? What gave him the right to control her? Besides sleeping with her, what else had he done for her?
So, she lifted her small hands, smashed them wildly on the man’s face and chest, and yelled angrily at him, "What more do you want from me? What do you want from me? Can you give me some space to breathe? Do you have to push me to death to be satisfied?"
Immediately after, she pushed Liam Spencer away, rushed to the window in the hospital room, climbed onto the windowsill. When Liam Spencer reached out to grab her, he was a step too late. She picked up a green plant on the windowsill and smashed it toward the man, "If you come closer, I’ll jump."
Hearing the bad news about Henry Reid, Maya Spencer was stimulated, even thinking of ending it all with death. Henry Reid’s room was on the 20th floor. If she jumped, certain death awaited.
Looking at Maya Spencer’s threat, the man paused, his face full of anger, wishing he could crush her, as she was actually threatening him with death.
He took a deep breath, calmed down for a moment, turned and walked to Henry Reid’s bedside, glanced at Maya Spencer sitting on the windowsill, and said to Henry Reid, "Maya Spencer, how about I fulfill your wish and let you and Henry die together? How does that sound? As long as you jump, I’ll immediately pull out his oxygen tube." ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm
The man’s ruthless words ultimately broke Maya Spencer’s restraint, and she cried, cried her heart out. Even she didn’t understand why she was crying so sadly. Was it for Henry Reid? Clearly, it wasn’t entirely for him. More so for her pent-up emotions and the suppressions that had no outlet.
Liam Spencer looked at the sobbing girl, his anger rising, continuing to provoke her: "Jump! You have someone to accompany you, what are you afraid of?"
"Why? Why? Why do you have to push me? Can’t you let me vent when I feel so bad? Can’t you let me be sad for a moment? I smile at you every day, but do you know, when I look at Henry Reid, watching him for me..." Maya Spencer choked up, unable to finish her sentence.
After all, she’s just a girl, unable to be cold and heartless like him.
