No Trespassing! My Aloof Brother-Chapter 554 - 552 You Name a Price [4 updates]
Liam Spencer, holding Maya Spencer’s little hand, had just entered the living room when Sophia Bennett bounced down from the second floor, happily running towards Liam. She wrapped her arm around his and asked enthusiastically, "Third Young Master, you’re here! It’s enough that you’re here, there’s no need for gifts, you’re too kind."
Completely ignoring Maya, Sophia had eyes only for Liam. Maya was certain Sophia was deliberately ignoring her to make her feel uncomfortable.
Looking at the girl’s attitude towards Liam, Maya smirked coldly and said indifferently, "Sophia, have you touched enough? If you keep touching, I’ll start charging you."
Hearing Maya’s impatience, Sophia immediately withdrew her cheerful smile and sneered, "I haven’t touched enough. Name your price, how much? I’ll take the Third Young Master."
When it came to shamelessness, Sophia was quite a tough character herself. Her mouth was no better than Maya’s.
"Oh! Really a clingy type. I’m afraid you want to cling, but Third Brother wouldn’t agree. I won’t charge you much, just one dollar, for touching as much as you want as long as Third Brother is willing." Maya looked at the girl’s smug expression and the malicious smile on her lips, fully prepared to wait for Sophia here.
Continuing, she cheekily looked at Liam and asked, "Third Brother, are you willing to be touched by her?"
Listening to the girls’ conversation, Liam was sweating and thought to himself, Maya was really setting him up here, actually pricing him to be ’sold’ for just a dollar. He was not pleased with it and wished he could take Maya home right away and teach her a lesson.
He turned around, lifted his right hand, and pinched Maya’s nose, warning with irritation, "Maya, I’ll settle accounts with you when we return."
On the side, Sophia was so enraged by Maya calling her clingy that she was boiling with anger, wishing she could strangle this Little Demon.
Usually, she thought her sharp tongue was fierce enough, but she didn’t expect Maya’s to be even more wicked. It was the first time she had argued with someone and hadn’t come out on top, so she felt like hitting someone.
Looking at Sophia’s pale, angry face, Maya said with disdain, "Sophia, do you really think you can compete with me for a man? Not even in your next lifetime."
Maya came today not to do anything else but to show Sophia who’s boss and deter her from pining after Liam. Maya’s man, is he someone others can covet?
"Maya, I’d like to see what you’re capable of, how long you can stay favored." The more Maya threatened Sophia, the less Sophia backed down.
At this moment, her eyes only had Maya in them, completely unable to see Liam.
"Maya, Liam, you two are here!" James Bennett suddenly emerged from the kitchen, still wearing an apron.
"Chairman Bennett!" Liam greeted politely.
"Chairman Bennett!" After being persuaded by Liam, Maya adjusted her attitude towards James. She came today to spar with Sophia, not to bother her uncle.
Sophia, looking at the situation, was displeased and immediately ran up to James, her face full of discontent as she said, "Uncle, what are you doing? Why are you personally cooking? Let the chef do it."
Sophia knew her uncle wasn’t cooking for Liam but for Maya, this Little Demon.
In Sophia’s mind, Maya was just a little enchantress; she had only met her uncle once and already bewitched him such that he invited her to their home for a meal and even personally cooked for her. She felt imbalanced.
James stared at Maya in the living room with a smile and said, "I wanted to make some signature dishes for Maya to try."
Maya, seeing the man’s enthusiasm, took a deep breath and turned to Liam as if questioning him, doesn’t James still want to pursue her?
Seeing this, Liam placed a hand on Maya’s waist and gently patted her to show comfort.
He then hurriedly smiled and said, "Chairman Bennett, you’re too kind."
Liam had originally wanted to say that he’d definitely be a good father in the future, but the words got stuck in his throat. After all, things had hardly progressed at all. He was afraid it would scare Maya.
"Maya, Liam, you don’t need to be formal, just treat it like your own home. Maya likes snacks, I’ll go prepare some for her."
Afterward, James turned and looked at Sophia and said, "Sophia, don’t misbehave, help uncle greet the guests."
"Hmph..." Sophia followed James’s instructions, angrily walked to the living room, and said with lukewarm tone, "Maya, what do you want to drink? I’ll get it for you."
Maya looked at Sophia’s impatient attitude, sneered twice, and said, "Who knows if you’ll poison me, I brought my own water."
After saying this, Maya stretched out her hand in front of Liam, who then took out the brewed floral tea from her bag and handed it to her.
At this moment, Liam understood that Maya brewed tea as preparation to deal with Sophia. It seemed she was indeed ready for a fight; Liam was both amused and helpless.
"..." Looking at the girl guarding against her like she was defending against a thief, Sophia felt defeated to the point of silence.
She thought to herself, Maya, she’s indeed a formidable one.
However, only like this would the contest be interesting, right? Sophia hadn’t yet realized she didn’t have a chance to compete; Liam never intended to give her a chance.
In the living room, Maya nonchalantly held the remote, switching channels. Liam sat next to her, watching this little troublemaker full of precautionary measures, and kept chuckling quietly, holding back his laughter.
Sophia sat on the side sofa, clutching a pillow in her arms, staring at Maya without blinking. When she saw Maya ignoring her, her teeth itched with anger, completely forgetting that she intended to pursue Liam, not Maya, so her gaze didn’t fall on Liam at all.
Seeing Sophia’s speechless appearance, Maya was delightfully amused, thinking, ’You silly girl, with this attitude, you still want to compete with me for Third Brother? Better give up! Your target isn’t even clear.’
So, she suddenly said, "Sophia, have you not seen a beauty before? No matter how long you look, you won’t be as pretty as me."
"Pfft..." Liam was amused by her shamelessness, immediately raised his right hand, pinched her cheek, and reprimanded, "Little brat, can’t your words be nicer?"
Sophia, seeing Maya’s self-assuredness, grabbed the pillow in her hand and threw it at her unceremoniously, saying, "Maya, do you have no shame? Do you really think you’re good-looking? Better go look in a mirror at your ugly face, yet you have the cheek to brag."
"Jealous!" Maya threw back coldly, completely disregarding Sophia.
After several rounds of bickering, Sophia was so irritated by Maya that she felt suffocated in her chest. She took deep breaths, fixed her gaze on Liam, and asked, "Liam, are you insane? You actually like someone like her?"
Listening to Sophia’s questioning, Liam glanced at her indifferently and coldly uttered, "Hm!" dismissing Sophia just like that.
Hearing Liam’s affirmation, Sophia rolled her eyes in anger, thinking about how bizarre this pair was. How could her uncle want to be friends with such people, especially Maya, who was simply a weirdo?
Immediately afterward, Sophia angrily stood up from the sofa and headed to the second floor without looking back.
Maya was too difficult to deal with, Liam was too aloof, she had to find another way to undermine Maya.
