No Trespassing! My Aloof Brother-Chapter 566 - 564: Don’t Act Recklessly [Part 1]
Sophia Bennett was terrified when Christopher Scott got serious with her, her legs almost gave out.
She really only came to borrow the restroom, and at the bar, Christopher clearly didn’t want to bother with her. Why did he change once they returned to the apartment? Sophia panicked, afraid her reputation would be compromised and she’d be taken advantage of by Christopher.
So she took a deep breath and pretended to calmly remind him, "Christopher, don’t mess around. I’m Chairman Bennett’s niece. If you bully me, my uncle definitely won’t let you off."
"Ha! Then why did you follow me to my apartment and barge into my bedroom? Isn’t that to seduce me? Weren’t you the one at the bar claiming you liked me and wanted to chase after me?" Sophia’s rejection was entirely seen as a ploy by Christopher, and he didn’t believe her.
"Let go of me! I’m only here to borrow the restroom and have no intention of anything happening between us. Let me go." At this point, Sophia deeply regretted.
If she had realized sooner that Christopher was such a jerk, she wouldn’t have sent him home even if someone threatened her.
At the bar, he was still sulking over Seven Murray, and now he was pulling her, wanting to sleep with her. She had never met such a jerk before, and Sophia was furious.
Christopher looked at the struggling Sophia, closed his eyes tightly, taking a deep breath, trying to calm his anger, ensuring he didn’t fall for her trap and end up being seduced by her.
He looked at the seriousness in Sophia’s expression, uncertain whether she was acting or truly afraid.
However, he was too lazy to guess, as he disliked this woman anyway.
So he immediately grabbed Sophia’s wrist and walked towards the living room. When they reached the entrance, he quickly opened the door and pushed Sophia out, angrily saying, "I already gave you a chance just now, but you didn’t know how to cherish it. From now on, you better not appear in front of me, or I won’t let you off. I don’t care if you’re Chairman Bennett’s niece or President Parker’s niece."
As Christopher spoke, there was a loud "bang" as he slammed the door shut.
At the moment the door closed, Sophia’s voice instantly vanished from his ears, and Christopher felt a sense of peace, so comfortable.
He disliked many women, but he had never disliked a woman as much as he disliked Sophia.
After Sophia was thrown out, Christopher finally gained some peace, yet when he thought about Seven Murray again, his mood remained low. He walked slowly to the liquor cabinet, took out a bottle of red wine, sat on the sofa, and continued to drink in melancholy.
Outside the apartment, after being thrown out, Sophia was bewildered.
Christopher’s actions were too fast; one minute she was worried he would take advantage of her, the next she was thrown out of the apartment. Sophia felt on the brink of collapse.
She only knew she was fickle, liking Liam Spencer one minute and switching affection to Christopher the next, but she hadn’t expected Christopher to be even more fickle.
Recalling the words Christopher had spoken to her, Sophia suddenly seemed to understand something, realizing she’d fallen into Christopher’s trap.
The guy mentioned he had already given her a chance which she didn’t cherish, and told her not to appear in front of him again.
At this point, Sophia realized Christopher was merely scaring her to drive her out of the apartment, and anger surged upon realizing the truth. She stood outside Christopher’s door, raised her right leg, and kicked fiercely at his door, cursing, "Bastard, you tricked me."
"Christopher, you just wait. If you want to kick me out, dream on. I will pursue you, and I won’t rest until I’ve got you." Sophia always has this determination when she changes targets.
But no man has been pursued by her for more than two months; most are given up on within a week.
On the sofa in the living room, Christopher listened to the girl kicking the door, his thoughts chaotic. He grabbed the wine bottle from the coffee table and with a swift motion, smashed it towards the door.
The wine bottle shattered against the door instantly, creating an ear-piercing sound.
Outside, Sophia listened to the commotion behind the door, crossed her arms, and angrily said, "Christopher, I, Sophia Bennett, leave my word here — I will definitely win you over."
After she finished speaking, she turned around, pushed the elevator button, and stormed off.
Only then did Christopher gain complete silence.
He glanced at the door unattentively, then lazily got up from the sofa, walked again to the liquor cabinet, and took out another bottle of red wine to continue his solitary drinking.
He wanted to have a good talk with Seven Murray, yet feared being solemnly rejected by her.
Seven years have passed, and the pride in Christopher’s heart still remained somewhat; he hadn’t entirely let go of himself, unsure of how to plead with Seven, asking her not to be angry and to give him another chance.
Perhaps, only upon learning that Seven Murray and Ian Hobbs were about to get engaged, could he muster the courage to have a proper conversation with Seven.
After drinking in melancholy for a while, Christopher noticed the outside had been quiet for a long time. He set down the wine glass in his hand, then slowly got up from the sofa, walked to the entrance, and opened the door to check the situation outside.
Stepping out of the apartment, he found the area empty, Sophia’s shadow long gone.
Christopher took a deep breath, glanced around, furrowing his brow. His mind flashed to Sophia’s infatuated demeanor at the bar and in the car.
Then he thought of Seven Murray, contemplating how wonderful it would be if Seven was still chasing him and liking him as before.
If given another chance, he certainly wouldn’t act out, and would instead bow his head and ask her.
But now, with Ian Hobbs between them, everything was different. Seven was no longer solely his but belonged to another man.
Thinking about these things, Christopher felt a headache, so he immediately turned back inside to continue drinking in solitude.
Time ticked by at a minute pace, and soon it was 4 a.m.
Raising his head, Christopher glanced at the clock on the opposite wall, seeing that it was precisely 4 a.m.
However, Christopher remained very clear-headed, showing no signs of intoxication.
He stared at the clock for a moment, suddenly thinking of Sophia, unsure if she had gotten home yet. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
Although he disliked Sophia, she went home late because of him, and if anything happened to her on the way, he would be responsible.
Thinking of this, Christopher quickly grabbed the phone on the coffee table, dialed Maya Spencer’s number.
On the other end, Maya nestled in Liam Spencer’s arms, sound asleep. Even though the phone under her pillow vibrated, it didn’t affect her sleep at all. She always felt at ease as long as Liam was nearby.
However, Christopher’s call didn’t wake Maya, but it did wake Liam.
Liam, hearing the vibration under Maya’s pillow, frowned, wondering who would call Maya so late. Could it be Ella Turner? But she’s supposed to be with Elijah Reed, isn’t she? She shouldn’t be calling.
Liam took a deep breath, extended his long arm, and pulled out the phone from under Maya’s pillow to find it was Christopher calling.
