No Trespassing! My Aloof Brother-Chapter 586 - 584: Apologize to Me [1st Update]
Sophia Bennett stared at the lawn for a long time, and she saw someone lying on the ground in a big shape, already covered with some snow.
Sophia took a deep breath, slowly stepped forward, and walked towards the lawn. Her intuition told her that this person was Christopher Scott.
So, she cautiously asked, "Christopher, is that you?"
However, the other party did not respond.
As Sophia approached that person, she used her phone to shine on him. Seeing his clothes and the shoes on his feet, she was sure this person was Christopher.
Instantly, Sophia’s eyes turned red. She stood there dumbfounded for quite a while, but her emotions could not calm down.
Seeing Christopher so distraught over Seven Murray, her heart ached, and for a moment, she couldn’t even cry.
Realizing that Christopher had been lying in the snow for a long time, she immediately pounced on him, knelt beside him, and started brushing off the snow on him, calling out repeatedly, "Christopher, wake up, wake up, please don’t let anything happen, okay?"
On the lawn, Christopher was awake. Feeling so distressed, there was no way he could sleep.
Listening to Sophia’s sobbing voice, he impatiently asked, "Why are you always haunting me?"
"Wah..." Hearing Christopher’s questioning, tears immediately streamed down Sophia’s face as she spread her arms, hugged him tightly, and said, "I’m just glad you’re okay, glad you’re okay."
"Get lost!" Despite Sophia’s good intentions, Christopher was indifferent, only responding with a cold "get lost."
Even though this girl found him in the middle of a snowy night, he still disliked her, disliked her appearance, disliked her voice, disliked her tears, and disliked her concern for him.
Hearing Christopher’s "get lost," Sophia acted as if nothing was wrong, lifted her right hand to wipe the tears from her face, then helped brush the snow off him, and asked with concern, "Are you cold? Let’s go back quickly! Don’t catch a chill."
Christopher, listening to Sophia’s concern, felt a sudden surge of unexplained anger.
So, he immediately grabbed the little hand she was using to brush off the snow from him and flung it away forcefully, shouting at her in extreme irritation, "Can’t you understand human speech?"
Sophia, after being yelled at by Christopher, was embarrassed for a moment, but just for a moment.
Seeing Christopher’s angry face, the corners of her mouth immediately lifted into a smile as she said to herself, "Wait for me, I brought you something."
As she spoke, Sophia grabbed her bag from the ground, rummaged through it, and took out a big, red apple, smiling as she handed it to Christopher, saying, "Merry Christmas Eve! Eating this apple will keep you safe and sound."
Christopher looked at the apple Sophia handed over, and for a moment, he was dazed, as Seven’s shadow appeared before his eyes.
In the past, Seven would give him a big apple every Christmas Eve to bless him with peace and safety.
Christopher paused, and when he looked at Sophia again, she was still Sophia, not Seven.
Sophia saw Christopher’s serious gaze, smiled at him, and pushed the apple closer, saying, "For you."
She had spent three days picking this apple out from a pile, selecting the biggest and reddest one. She wanted to give Christopher the best blessing.
This morning, she had it in her bag and planned to hang around him all day and give it to him in the evening. Unexpectedly, when she saw him in the morning, he was in a very bad mood and yelled at her to leave.
Sophia, being thick-skinned, could withstand Christopher’s yelling.
If it were any other girl, she would have hidden from Christopher, goodness knows where.
When it came to Christopher, Sophia didn’t even know why. Though she was thick-skinned when chasing boys, she’d never encountered anyone as daring as Christopher, treating her with such disregard, yelling and cursing at her.
Despite Christopher’s bad attitude, Sophia acted like she didn’t see it.
She watched Christopher’s feelings for Seven, saw his depression, and her heart inexplicably became attached to him.
This time, she was more serious about her feelings than ever.
In the past, she would just move on if someone didn’t reciprocate, ignoring her for two days. She would quickly switch targets.
However, this time, despite enduring the most grievances, she was unwavering, truly intending to remain devoted to this one person.
Christopher looked at the apple Sophia was pushing towards him, fueled with extreme anger. He couldn’t stand this girl’s shameless persistence.
The only woman he could accept being persistent with him was Seven Murray.
He looked at the apple in front of him, took a deep breath, and stared directly into Sophia’s eyes.
Sophia saw Christopher’s serious gaze and her smile was radiant. Everything she did for Christopher today moved her, and she thought he would be moved, that he would turn around and see her kindness.
But when Christopher suddenly grabbed the apple from her hands, he didn’t say thank you; he didn’t eat the apple. Instead, he raised his arm and threw the apple far away.
In an instant, Sophia was dumbfounded, her anger rising. She knelt before Christopher, raised her small hands, and angrily pushed his shoulder, asking, "What are you doing? Why did you throw my apple?"
After shouting, Sophia quickly got up from the ground and ran in the direction Christopher had thrown the apple.
She searched around the track on the field for a long time and finally found the apple Christopher threw away, but unfortunately, it had shattered into pieces.
Seeing her intentions so carelessly destroyed by Christopher, Sophia’s heart filled with rage.
When she returned to the lawn, Christopher was still sitting on the ground and hadn’t gotten up.
Christopher actually wanted to leave a long time ago, but his body was numb from the cold, especially his feet, which felt like they weren’t even his. His clothes were soaked from the melted snow.
Sophia’s arrival disrupted his thoughts and made him feel a bit cold.
Sophia stood in front of Christopher, watching him sit motionlessly on the ground, extending her small hand to pull him up with all her strength, saying seriously, "Christopher, apologize to me."
After Sophia pulled him up, Christopher finally regained feeling in his feet.
Seeing the girl’s serious demeanor, he nonchalantly shook off her hand and walked forward with difficulty.
He hated Sophia to death, not wanting to see her for even a second. He wanted to escape quickly, to get far away from this woman, or else she would surely infuriate him to the point of explosion.
Seeing Christopher ignoring her, Sophia quickly chased after him and spread her arms to block his path, saying, "Christopher, you need to apologize to me."
After being blocked by Sophia, Christopher stopped in his tracks and looked at her with extreme disdain.
The two of them stood there, facing each other on the large field, letting the wind and snow hit them, barely feeling any coldness.
Even though Sophia liked Christopher and felt sorry for him, she couldn’t accept her kindness being treated so carelessly. She needed to demand justice for herself.
Christopher lowered his head, looking at the girl’s persistence, feeling an increasing dislike.
Maybe it was because Sophia had appeared at the wrong time, making him dislike her even more.
