On Our Wedding Day My Husband Announced His First Love Online-Chapter 132: Sebastian Forrest Arrives
Seeing the burly man advance menacingly, I desperately tried to shield Theodore, but the man shoved me aside, growling, "Get the hell out of the way!"
Then, he grabbed Theodore Grant by the collar and started dragging him toward the concrete mixer.
As he was dragged, a trail of bright red blood stained the floor—a horrifying sight.
"Don’t!" At this point, I couldn’t care about anything else and desperately tried to get to my feet.
But Clara Langley shoved me back to the ground, her face contorted as she cackled. "Chelsea Joyce, don’t be in such a hurry. You’re next! I’m going to make you watch as Theodore Grant is ground into a pile of sludge! HAHAHAHA..."
Just as I was about to get up again, I suddenly heard a BANG. A solid black Maybach had just smashed through the main gate and burst inside!
When the car door swung open and I saw who it was, my face flooded with wild joy.
"Sebastian Forrest!"
Clara Langley’s face was a mask of panic. She instinctively stumbled back a few steps.
When she saw Sebastian Forrest approaching with a grim expression, she snapped back to her senses. Her eyes darted around frantically before landing on a rock nearby.
Clara Langley immediately bent down, picked up the rock, and raised it with a crazed, furious snarl. "Go to hell!"
But before she could bring the rock down, Sebastian Forrest had already lunged forward, sending her flying several meters with a powerful roundhouse kick!
"Chelsea, are you okay?" Sebastian Forrest helped me up from the floor, his face full of concern, and moved to untie my ropes.
But I quickly pulled my hand away and said urgently, "Quick, go save Theodore Grant!"
Sebastian Forrest, however, didn’t move. He just frowned slightly. While cutting my ropes with a small knife he carried, he said in a low voice, "Don’t worry. Theodore Grant is fine. Someone’s gone to help him."
It was only then that I realized Sebastian Forrest hadn’t come alone. Following behind him were seven or eight police officers!
Once the ropes were off, I couldn’t care about anything else and immediately got up, wanting to check on Theodore Grant’s condition.
"Be careful." Sebastian Forrest steadied my arm.
By now, the burly men had been subdued by the police, and everyone, including Clara Langley, was in handcuffs.
An officer was helping Theodore Grant up, and as he moved, a large amount of blood gushed from the wound where the dagger was still embedded in his body.
"Chelsea..." Theodore Grant gave me a weak smile.
I hurried over to him, my eyes starting to sting. "Don’t talk. We need to get you to a hospital."
Soon, with the help of a few police officers, Theodore Grant was loaded into a car.
I instinctively started to follow, but Sebastian Forrest grabbed my wrist. He glanced at my already swollen ankle and said, "You’re riding with me. Your injuries need to be treated, too."
"It hurts so much! Be gentle, WAHHH..."
Just then, I heard Sasha’s crying and remembered that she had been kidnapped along with me.
The police had already untied Sasha. She looked around for a moment before her gaze finally landed on Sebastian Forrest and me.
"Mr. Forrest..." With her eyes red from crying, Sasha started to throw herself at Sebastian Forrest. "You’re finally here! I was so scared..."
Sebastian Forrest placed a hand on her shoulder, keeping her at a distance with a slight frown. "Don’t move. You’re dirty."
Sasha froze for a second, then looked down at her soiled clothes with a wronged expression. In the end, she didn’t dare try to get any closer to Sebastian Forrest.
Seeing that Sasha was okay, I finally relaxed. But just as I turned to walk out, a sharp pain shot through my ankle, making me stumble.
The next second, I suddenly felt my body go light. Sebastian Forrest had swept me up into his arms.
I instinctively tried to struggle. After everything I’d just been through, I was probably ten times filthier than Sasha!
"Don’t move." Sebastian Forrest looked down at me. "Your ankle is injured."
"But I’m filthy..."
"I don’t mind."
Soon, Sebastian Forrest was carrying me into his car. From a distance, I could see Sasha stomping her foot in anger, but I didn’t have the mental energy to care.
"Do you know which hospital they took Theodore Grant to?"
As he started the car, Sebastian Forrest turned to look at me, his voice low and laced with an unreadable tone. "So concerned about him?"
"He was injured trying to save me..." I couldn’t help but purse my lips.
’If Theodore Grant hadn’t blocked that knife for me, I’d be the one lying on the ground right now!’
’And it was obvious Clara Langley was aiming for my heart.’
’She really wanted me dead!’
Sebastian Forrest didn’t say anything more and just drove toward the hospital.
When we arrived at the hospital, a doctor immediately came over with a gurney. Seeing a nurse about to help me onto it, I quickly waved my hand. "No, that’s not necessary. It’s just my ankle, no need for all this trouble..."
The group of doctors and nurses instinctively turned to look at Sebastian Forrest.
Sebastian Forrest gave a slight wave of his hand. "Alright, you can go. I’ll carry her."
"You don’t have to..."
I instinctively wanted to refuse.
But when I met Sebastian Forrest’s deep, ink-black eyes, the protest on the tip of my tongue was swallowed back down.
A few moments later, Sebastian Forrest carried me into a surgical consultation room.
Because he had made arrangements in advance, an expert physician soon came to examine my ankle.
"It’s not too bad. Luckily, the bone isn’t injured, but you can’t overexert yourself for a while. You’ll be fine after a period of rest."
"Thank you, Doctor."
Then, the doctor prescribed some medication and gave me a few instructions.
Sebastian Forrest listened attentively at my side.
After we left the consultation room, I wanted to go check on Theodore Grant.
"Relax. I already asked for you. That Grant kid is fine. They’ve removed the dagger, and it didn’t hit any vital organs. He’ll be fine after some rest," Sebastian Forrest said in a low voice.
I couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.
’As long as he’s okay.’
’After all, Theodore Grant was only injured because he was trying to save me.’
’If anything were to happen to him...’
"Clara Langley was obviously after you, but why was Theodore Grant there?" Sebastian Forrest suddenly asked.
I instinctively looked up at Sebastian Forrest. "Theodore Grant was there to save me."
"Oh?" Sebastian Forrest raised an eyebrow, a hint of a smirk on his face. "He’s certainly well-informed."
I couldn’t help but frown slightly. In the heat of the moment, I hadn’t thought about it, but now that I did, Theodore Grant really had arrived too quickly...
’Could it be that he knew all along? Did he follow me the whole way?’
However, the thought had barely surfaced before I immediately dismissed it.
’Clara Langley’s intent to kill Theodore Grant was obvious. There’s no way she could have colluded with him...’
’Besides, Theodore Grant had nearly been killed on the spot several times. Why would he take such a risk?’
’It must have been a coincidence...’
