These words, resounding and powerful, reverberated through the air.

The force behind them was so compelling that even Kuyi Tulan couldn't help but retreat a few steps.

Its echo lingered, endlessly reverberating in the Moonflow Stream, leaving everyone with a lingering sense of fear in their hearts.

The voice, like a roar or a sharp rebuke, was a thorough denial of Kuyi Tulan's entire explanation.

No matter how proud Kuyi Tulan was, or how proud he was of the golden sphere known as the Spirit Core, these words had utterly crushed him, knocking him from his pedestal of arrogance.

Kuyi Tulan felt as if his heart was about to explode, because the person who had uttered these words was none other than Great Mentor Guzan.

At first, the Great Mentor had only disapproved of his Purification Plan, not entirely vetoed it. He hadn't used such strong words before.

But now, the Great Mentor had completely negated his accomplishment.

"Mentor!" Kuyi Tulan cried, clutching his chest. He felt a sharp pain, a real pain. He could disregard anyone else's opinion, but he cared deeply about the words of his Great Mentor.

For him, the Great Mentor's approval was everything. His disapproval was like the sky falling.

Igor was puzzled. Why had things turned out this way? And what was the significance of this so-called Spirit Core that had provoked such anger from the Great Mentor?

The monsters of Guru Mountain were also witnessing the Great Mentor like this for the first time. Though the Great Mentor had been angry before, he had never cursed aloud. This was indeed a first.

Seeing the Great Mentor's wrathful expression, Igor couldn't help but feel a surge of respect. He hadn't realized this compassionate old man could be so awe-inspiring when angered.

'Awe-inspiring' seems the most apt term to describe the Great Mentor right now, Igor thought. Despite his anger, the Great Mentor maintained an air of dignity, one that compelled others to see him as an exceptionally upright and honest man.

Now, the Great Mentor's furious rebuke struck Kuyi Tulan to the core. He gasped for breath, finding it incredibly hard to accept.

"Mentor!"

Other than repeatedly calling out "Mentor!" Kuyi Tulan could do nothing else; he simply couldn't accept this outcome.

"What exactly is going on?" Kadi asked, nudging Igor, curious about the situation.

"Do you see that small golden sphere?" Igor explained. "Kuyi Tulan calls it the Spirit Core. Though I don't know how it was formed, I can sense a strong connection between it and Senior Dastan." He then turned his attention back to the Spirit Core, oblivious to the surprised and approving glances from those around him.

The monsters of Guru Mountain were deeply impressed by Igor's deduction, admiring his insight. In contrast, the people from the Alchemy Workshop showed expressions of disbelief; they couldn't fathom how this young man could deduce the Spirit Core's connection.

"Dastan's Spirit Power is everywhere. Is this what you meant by Dastan being ubiquitous?" the Great Mentor questioned loudly, rendered speechless by his disciple's actions.

"As long as this Spirit Core exists, Dastan... Dastan can rise again!" Kuyi Tulan gritted his teeth, enduring the intense pain in his heart as he replied.

"Rise again? You call out to Dastan for me. Let's see if he answers."

"Some people, even when they perish, live on forever. Dastan is like that. I have granted him eternity, made him ubiquitous! Mentor, how can you all not understand..." 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

"Nonsense!" the Great Mentor cut him off bluntly. "Dastan has already been destroyed by you! Haven't you realized that yet?"

"He's not dead! He's right here! He is this Spirit Core!" Kuyi Tulan shrieked hysterically.

The Great Mentor shook his head. He felt his disciple was truly gravely ill, unable to even distinguish between life and death.

"Do you know how many times? How many times I tried?" Kuyi Tulan continued his hysterical outburst, deeply pained by the whole situation, wanting only to vent his emotions at this moment.

"How could any of you understand the myriad tastes of failure? The Spirit Core... this is such a remarkable synthesis!"

"Your achievement is always built on the pain of others. Do you understand?"

"Sacrifice is unavoidable! I too have paid a great price, sacrificed much! But I have never once complained. I willingly contribute to this technique of Alchemy!"

Kuyi Tulan was indignant. He could not understand why the Great Mentor was so enraged. Where had he gone wrong?

"Your technique is built on the trust others placed in you, and you have betrayed that trust."

"I gave them eternity! Eternity, Great Mentor! Do you know what that represents? It means I've allowed them to be forever remembered by the world! What an honor that is!"

Kuyi Tulan grew more agitated as he spoke, and no one could stop him. His crazed, hysterical state made people reluctant to intervene. He was, after all, no different from a madman.

"Why can't you understand this point? This permanent existence—how great it is!"

"You only allowed their power to continue, and specifically, the power *you* needed!" the Great Mentor stated, hitting the nail on the head. He knew very well what Kuyi Tulan was after.

"Power dominates everything in this world! Without it, no one would notice you!" This was Kuyi Tulan's justification.

"If your whole life is only about power, what's the point of living?" the Great Mentor questioned Kuyi Tulan.

"The Spirit Core can solve many problems. This is what I am after..."

The formation of the Spirit Core is very complex. In a way, it is a synthetic product.

Kuyi Tulan had gone to great lengths to obtain Dastan's extraordinary Bomb Jump ability.

He analyzed Alchemy in depth, and due to his innate sensitivity to impurities, he gradually perceived a special component within each person's Spirit Power.

Initially, he pieced these special components together, which was the origin of how Dastan and other such monsters were formed.

Later, he discovered that this synthesis could also be undone, and this special component within the Spirit Power could be separated out. It was a substance like an ephemeral wisp of air, vanishing in an instant. To preserve this magical wisp, Kuyi Tulan tried using Alchemy to synthesize various kinds of containers.

Ultimately, he succeeded in finding such a container: a synthetic material most similar to human bone.

The wisp of air, once successfully contained, transformed into a small, glowing sphere—the object Kuyi Tulan called the Spirit Core.

However, his greatest achievement, of which Kuyi Tulan was most proud, was negated by his Great Mentor...
