One-Eyed Monster-Chapter 775 - 772: Together (Part 2)

What's going on here? How come he can move, while others are still frozen...

Igor scratched his head, unable to figure out the situation.

Do I have some kind of special body? How can I move freely when those seniors, all master practitioners, are still immobilized? Why me?

Igor and Kadi's confusion also perplexed Kevin. He glanced around and, without exchanging words with anyone, understood the whole story.

"Alright, no need to be astonished. The Fog Elixir affecting this kid was just neutralized by Xiso. Xiso will neutralize it for everyone else in a bit, so stop overthinking," Kevin comforted Igor and Kadi, then turned his attention to the other side.

There sat the silent Great Mentor, who hadn't uttered a word since being teleported here.

"Great Mentor, why did you do this? We who follow you have long been ready to face life and death," Kevin said. Discerning what had happened from the effects of the Fog Elixir on Igor, he knew the Great Mentor must have paralyzed everyone to prevent them from being implicated, intending to deal with Kuyi Tulan alone.

Although Kevin wasn't sure of the outcome, he knew they had collectively helped the Great Mentor out of a tight spot.

"I just wanted to end all this!" the Great Mentor said softly; he still had much to say to Kevin.

"We all want to end this too, but we followed your advice and refrained from rash actions. Why then, Great Mentor, did you act so impulsively?" Kevin asked, puzzled.

"You need to understand, Kuyi Tulan could become a malignant tumor threatening the entire world of Adventurers with Class at any moment! If left unchecked, he will bring catastrophe one day," the Great Mentor became agitated. "Originally, I intended to use a life-exchanging, desperate method to walk with him into the Eternal Tranquility Realm, but Kadi interrupted me."

Kevin glanced at Kadi. Well done, Kadi! That was brilliant! he thought approvingly.

"Great Mentor, your actions would break everyone's heart. Kuyi Tulan isn't your enemy alone; he is our common enemy!"

"It was I who brought him into the world of Adventurers with Class!" The Great Mentor was still very emotional.

"Great Mentor, rest assured, we will teach Kuyi Tulan a good lesson. There's no need to resort to mutual destruction."

"Exactly! Didn't you hear my proposal earlier? I tried my best to convince you; you can't have just ignored all that!" Kadi, who had appeared out of nowhere, had been listening to Kevin and the Great Mentor's conversation the whole time. Finding a gap, he interjected.

"You..." Kevin was about to berate Kadi but then remembered Kadi had stopped the Great Mentor's rash decision. He unwillingly swallowed the words, Adults are talking, what's a child like you interrupting for?!

"I didn't misspeak! He did listen!" Kadi turned to face Kevin, not a trace of fear on him. He seemed to have matured suddenly, like a child who, no longer showing that awkward timidity before his parents, was instead brimming with confidence.

"Kadi is right. I was indeed persuaded by him. If I had truly gone ahead and fought Kuyi Tulan with such a life-exchanging technique, I would have been too selfish." The Great Mentor glanced at the monsters whose nerves had been paralyzed by his Fog Elixir, a look of apology in his eyes.

The other monsters also heard what the Great Mentor said. A moment ago, they were still somewhat astonished by the strange sight of Twin Peaks, but now their attention was entirely focused on the Great Mentor. They had never imagined things would turn out this way.

They also hadn't anticipated that Igor, Kadi, and Stan Sol would actually rescue the Great Mentor...

All the current creatures of Guru Mountain were gathered at Twin Peaks. The thought that Dastan alone was missing from such a large group stirred a sense of unease in everyone's heart.

The Great Mentor soon laid out Kadi's plan. Although it sounded somewhat simple, it did show a degree of feasibility. Kuren and the others listened, their brows furrowed, but they were still very much in approval of this plan.

"Joseph!" Kevin shouted. At this moment, they needed Joseph's Eagle Eye. "Help us see where that bastard Kuyi Tulan has gone!"

"Alright!" Joseph instantly spread his wings, soared into the sky, and initiated his specialty, Eagle Eye Reconnaissance.

"No matter what, we have to trap Kuyi Tulan on Guru Mountain!" Yuga also had a determined look; he too had high hopes for the plan.

"Kadi's plan requires everyone's cooperation. We've always stood together. Guru Mountain is our home; we are a family!" Jemma kept cheering everyone on.

"Great Mentor, don't worry. We will absolutely make that bastard Kuyi Tulan receive the punishment he deserves!" Kevin continued to assure the Great Mentor.

Igor watched this scene, amazed. He was very curious how Kadi had come up with this plan. For the usually unreliable Kadi to actually devise such a plan... it's truly astounding! he thought.

"I think we need to act quickly. Otherwise, if that bastard Kuyi Tulan finds this place, we won't have time to prepare!" Kuren added. He knew he would play a crucial role and had to prepare in advance.

"Igor, do you think this plan is feasible?" The Great Mentor turned his head and, to everyone's surprise, asked a young boy.

"Well..." Igor pondered for a moment. "It should be. However, we still need to be careful." Igor spoke cautiously, his wariness entirely directed at Kadi. I just feel like Kadi has overlooked something, he thought.

"We can't keep dawdling, everyone! When it's time to act, we must act!" Kadi urged from the side. He realized that having everyone gathered together was good; it helped him successfully persuade the Great Mentor.

"Before that, I think we need to consult Xiso!" Although Kevin often seemed impatient, he could still distinguish priorities when it mattered. Had the plan been devised by Kuren or Yuga, he would have unhesitatingly pushed for its execution. But this plan came from Kadi, a kid who hadn't fully matured yet; he couldn't completely trust it.

"We do need to ask Xiso; he's the think tank for all of Guru Mountain." The Great Mentor also agreed with Kevin's view.

"But, Great Mentor, Xiso... he might be in some trouble." As Kevin said this, a sense of helplessness seemed to wash over him, as if he could do nothing about Xiso's predicament.
