One Night Bride: Master Blackwood's Substitute Wife-Chapter 840: Transformation
Ivy Kensington was immediately annoyed. She bit her lip and was about to speak, but unexpectedly, the car that had been driving smoothly suddenly stopped.
Unprepared, Ivy’s forehead hit the leather back of the front seat, causing her to cry out in pain.
"What’s happening?"
Why the sudden stop?
Sebastian Blackwood’s face turned impossibly pale in just a few seconds, his black hair soaked with sweat, looking somewhat disheveled.
"Get out of the car."
Half a minute later, he spoke, his voice somewhat hoarse.
Ivy Kensington was shocked, "Get... get out?"
She repeated his words in disbelief.
Why was he asking her to get out of the car just like that?
Besides, this wasn’t a good place to catch a cab. If she got out now, where would she find a cab?
Ivy swallowed and saw that his face was not right, so she asked, "Are you feeling unwell? Tell me, and I’ll drive."
"I said, get out!"
The man’s deep voice suddenly rose, as if tinged with anger.
Ivy’s scalp tingled from being yelled at, and she instantly clenched her fists.
"Sebastian Blackwood, what do you mean by this! You said you’d take me to see Ronnie, and now you’re telling me to get out. Are you even a man?!"
She said angrily, her eyes already red.
She trusted him so much, but he kept teasing her, playing with her like a monkey, didn’t he?
Sebastian grabbed the steering wheel tightly, the veins on the back of his cold white hand clearly bulging as he struggled to control himself. With a cold face, he growled, "Get out! Don’t make me say it again!"
Ivy was completely disappointed. She shouldn’t have trusted him; he was nothing but a liar, a complete liar!
"Fine, if you want me to get out, I’ll get out!"
From now on, she wouldn’t believe a word he said!
"Bang—"
The sound of the car door closing rang out as Ivy’s slender figure left.
After confirming she was gone, Sebastian dared to release his grip on the steering wheel, placing his palm over his heart.
It hurt so much.
He hadn’t expected the attack to come on so suddenly at this moment.
With trembling hands, Sebastian opened the car’s glove box, found the pills Sylvia Sterling had given him, and swallowed one. Only then did the excruciating ant-like pain slowly subside.
The man’s chest heaved strongly, and moments later, he finally calmed down.
"Damn it!"
He cursed under his breath, turned the steering wheel, and drove off in the direction Ivy had gone.
By this time, after Ivy got out of the car, the already gloomy sky began to rain lightly, and in no time, she was drenched.
The chill seeped through her bones, and she shivered, her heart equally cold, her lips curled in a mocking smile.
How foolish.
She had repeatedly been toyed with by Sebastian Blackwood; this man was simply playing with her! He never intended to take her to see Ronnie; he had just been deceiving her the whole time!
And she, foolishly, believed him...
Ivy’s eyes gradually dulled.
"Ding—"
And at that moment, her phone rang. She answered, and the voice on the other end said, "Miss Kensington, have you made up your mind?"
It was Arthur Blackwood’s voice!
Ivy closed her eyes tightly, biting down hard on her lip, and after a minute, she heard her own voice mixed with the sound of rain say, "I agree!"
"Smart choice, Miss Kensington! Cooperating with me, you won’t be dissatisfied!"
As soon as the call ended, a black Bentley screeched to a halt beside her, the window rolled down, and the man’s cold, stern face appeared in the rain.
"Get in the car!"
