One Piece: Alucard the Immortal-Chapter 490 - 489: Even My Thighs Are Trembling with Excitement
Within the violent gale, a lone figure stood silhouetted at the far end of the main street. As the winds roared, the man spread his arms wide and cried out: "Everyone! To you, what is royalty? What is battle?"
Alucard remained in his Loli A form. He was in no hurry to strike; instead, he observed Dragon’s behavior with keen interest.
Dragon’s "indoctrination" continued. With palms upturned, he shouted to the heavens: "Royalty are not superiors who stand above others! They are guardians meant to protect the people! And yet, look at them now! They exploit the very people they swore to shield, slaughtering the innocent for the sake of their own power and profit!"
"Ask your own hearts! Soldiers, what are you fighting for? Are you fighting for your families? For your livelihoods? For peace?"
Thanks to the groundwork laid by Rockefeller and Casemiro’s succession war, Dragon’s words carried immense weight. A powerful sense of resonance surged through the hearts of the masses.
"Because of the pain born from this foolish war, because of the insatiable greed of the royal family, a sorrowful history is being repeated! We cannot allow ourselves to be ruled like this any longer! We must seek our true selves!"
Dragon extended his right hand. "Now, to those who wish to pursue true freedom, come with us!"
With that, Dragon pulled back his hood, revealing a face covered in tribal tattoos. "I am... Dragon, of the Revolutionary Army!"
If Dragon’s previous words were the steady accumulation of gunpowder, then the revelation of his identity was the final spark that ignited the keg, blowing the entire kingdom wide open.
"Dragon of the Revolutionary Army?"
"The World’s Most Heinous Criminal? The sinner whose bounty is currently second only to the Yonko?"
"I... I’m going! My husband died in this war! I’ll never forgive the royals!"
"Me too! My brother is dead! I’d rather trust a criminal than stay in this pathetic country!"
Chaos erupted. Civilians and officers alike were swayed by Dragon’s speech. Many of the soldiers surrounding Casemiro threw down their weapons, signaling their defection to the Revolutionary Army.
Hidden behind black robes in the shadows behind Dragon, Gilteo and the others let their lips curl into slight smiles. Well done. This might be the Revolutionary Army’s greatest harvest to date.
However, there were exceptions. In a room on the second floor of a nearby tavern, Cavendish watched the scene while gnawing on a white handkerchief. Like a spurned woman, he ground his teeth. "Damn you, Dragon of the Revolutionary Army! How dare you shine brighter than me! One day, I’ll kill you and boost my popularity to the absolute limit!"
"Traitors! Have you all turned traitor?!"
Casemiro watched his defecting soldiers and citizens in terror. No one listened to him. Finally, his face flushed with rage as he shrieked at Dragon, "Dragon! You’re inciting national chaos! Do you have any idea what the consequences are? Do you know that Ilisia is a member of the World Government?!"
Dragon’s icy gaze fixed on him. "Your Ilisia is not the first Government-affiliated nation I have toppled, nor will it be the last. You brought this upon yourselves, you decadent royals who have let power blind your souls."
"You... you...!"
Though Casemiro had some modicum of ability, he was ultimately a spoiled brat. A single look from Dragon was enough to paralyze him with fear.
"Heh... hehehe..."
A sudden laugh rang out, sounding piercingly discordant in such an environment. "Dragon, not bad at all. If you ever met a man named Hitler, I think the two of you would have quite a bit to talk about."
"Alucard!"
At the sound of that voice, Dragon’s expression shifted. He turned toward the source, but instead of Alucard, he saw a young girl no older than fourteen. Yet, those crimson eyes were the spitting image of Alucard’s.
"That speech just now was magnificent. It was like Adam stripping away the final fig leaf from his loins. So wonderful... so beautiful... even my thighs are trembling with excitement, Dragon."
Loli A Alucard hooked one hand behind her neck while the other reached downward, tilting her head in a nearly deranged posture. "Now then, let’s get started! Monkey D. Dragon! I’ve prepared a delicious meal for you... you must savor it slowly!"
"That person!"
Cavendish, watching from the second floor of the tavern, stared with wide eyes. But in the next instant, it was as if he saw a vision of ten thousand corpses and a sea of blood. Terrified, Cavendish stumbled back two steps and fell flat on his backside.
WHOOSH!
An overwhelming, invisible force swept past everyone, bringing with it the thick, suffocating scent of gore. Like Cavendish, many people instantly envisioned a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood. Terrified, they began to foam at the mouth, falling to the ground in fits of convulsions.
"It’s not Conqueror’s Haki... what is this...?"
Dragon frowned as he looked at the twitching crowd. He, too, had seen that vision for a fleeting second.
"Hehehe, how exhilarating," Loli A Alucard laughed, looking up at the sky. "You’d better entertain me this time."
Dragon narrowed his eyes. "It seems you really are Alucard."
How Alucard had taken this form or how he had found him was beyond Dragon’s concern for now, or rather, he simply had no time to worry about it. The most important fact was that Alucard was standing right in front of him.
"Dragon! We’ll hold Alucard back! Go, quickly!" Gilteo and the other Revolutionary officers rushed to Dragon’s side.
"Don’t be ridiculous! If we turn our backs on this monster, we won’t stand a chance." Dragon’s expression was grim. "You all leave. I’ll bring up the rear."
"But—" Gilteo tried to protest.
"Go!" Dragon roared again.
Gilteo and the others gave Dragon one last look before quickly retreating.
Dragon shifted his stance, placing himself directly in Loli A Alucard’s path to block her from giving chase. But Alucard had no intention of following them. His target was Dragon alone.
"Can I ask one last thing? The King’s order... that was your doing, wasn’t it?" Dragon asked, his face dark.
"Heh... hehehe... Playing the puppeteer after so long is quite entertaining." Loli A Alucard spread her arms, placing them beside her face as she broke into a radiant, twisted laugh.
A cold sweat dripped down Dragon’s face. "You really are a monster, Alucard."
