A terrifying aura burst from Saya, and a pair of dark feathered wings emerged from his back. With one beat, he launched forward, his right hand transforming into a black flame-wrapped claw aimed directly at Mio.

"Why?"

Mio's expression was calm as he sidestepped the strike and responded, "Because you're weak, idiot."

Not far from where Saya had crashed, Mio reappeared with a burst of intense, undisguised killing intent.

The pirates muttered nervously, all eyes turning toward their leader.

Saya slowly pulled himself up, wincing and holding his abdomen where Mio had struck. His face was a mask of fury.

"Kill them all!" he growled.

There was no room left for retreat. The trap had been sprung too suddenly and flawlessly.
