One Piece: King of the World-Chapter 342: Golden Lion’s Chaotic Entry into the War?!
On the Sabaody Archipelago, Rayleigh sat back, watching the epic war unfold with great interest. When Newgate sent Sakazuki flying with three punches, he couldn't help but cheer in excitement.
Although Rayleigh had retired and was living a peaceful life, he was still a pirate at heart, and he held no fondness for the Marines. Even though Newgate had once been an old rival, seeing a Marine Admiral get so thoroughly pummeled was undeniably satisfying.
"Not bad, old man," Rayleigh chuckled, nodding in approval.
But his expression quickly grew serious. Though Newgate appeared unstoppable, Rayleigh's eyes caught the figures of Garp and Claudius sitting calmly amidst the chaos.
Rayleigh knew both of them well. Garp had relentlessly chased the Roger Pirates across the seas for years, and they'd clashed countless times. As for Claudius, though they weren't exactly close, the man had once promised not to cause trouble for Rayleigh as long as he stayed out of trouble himself.
Both of them were immensely powerful. Their composed demeanor indicated that the Marines still had some tricks up their sleeve. Sengoku hadn't even made a move yet.
Just as Rayleigh was wondering what might happen next, the massive live broadcast screen suddenly went dark.
The abrupt change made Rayleigh's heart sink. It was like biting into a delicious pizza only to discover a burnt fly stuck to the cheese.
"What the hell? Why did the live feed get cut?" Rayleigh muttered, frowning.
The same confusion spread across the crowd gathered in the square.
The execution hadn't started.
The battle was still raging.
Sakazuki had been briefly overwhelmed, but no one believed an Admiral could be defeated that easily.
Marineford still held the upper hand, so why shut down the broadcast?
Meanwhile, at Marineford itself, the situation had taken a sudden turn.
Some sharp-eyed individuals noticed something unusual in the sky.
"Is this a new Marine tactic? An aerial strike?" someone speculated.
Newgate noticed it too. He halted mid-stride and looked skyward. His eyes widened for a moment before his lips curled into a grin.
"Gu la la la la... Just what I was hoping for!" Newgate laughed heartily.
Sengoku's face twisted into a grimace. A Marine soldier had just relayed the same information Claudius had received moments earlier, there'd been a mass breakout at Impel Down.
And judging by the figures in the sky, there was no doubt who was responsible.
"That bastard Shiki..." Sengoku muttered, his jaw tightening.
Suddenly, laughter echoed through the skies above Marineford.
"Jiehahahahaha!!!"
"Jiehahahahaha!!!"
"Jiehahahahaha!!!"
Three rounds of manic, arrogant laughter rang out from above.
The sound was soon amplified through the Den Den Mushi speakers installed on the warships.
"Jiehahahaha!!! I haven't come here in vain! Newgate, old friend, it's been a long time! Looks like you're not doing so well," came Shiki's voice, laced with mocking amusement.
Up above, Golden Lion Shiki stood on the deck of a floating warship. He wore a gold-trimmed suit, his wild, lion-like mane billowing in the wind. One foot rested on the ship's railing while he leaned forward, gazing down at the battlefield with a twisted grin.
Newgate rested his naginata, Murakumogiri, against his shoulder and glared at Shiki. "Still the same old loudmouth, eh, you mangy lion? Want me to smash you into the sea?"
Shiki roared with laughter. "Jiehahaha! I heard it's your time now, old man!"
Newgate's lips twitched into a dismissive sneer. "I've got no time for your nonsense. If you want to reminisce, wait until after I've torn Marineford apart. First, pick a side. Are you with us or against us?"
Shiki's laughter faded into an icy smile. He raised the Den Den Mushi closer to his mouth and declared, "I'm not with anyone. But don't worry, I'll settle old scores with you later. Right now, there's someone I've been itching to kill. First, though, let me help you tear down Marineford!"
His words were clear: I'm not your ally. But for now, their goals aligned, so he'd help wreak havoc here before turning on the Whitebeard Pirates later.
Newgate shrugged. "Gu la la... suit yourself. Just don't get in my way, Shiki."
Claudius sighed softly. He'd hoped, however slim the chance that Shiki might attack Whitebeard instead. But no, the Golden Lion had come for him.
Sure enough, Shiki's gaze locked onto Claudius. The sight of Claudius sitting there so nonchalantly reignited years of festering hatred.
"Donquixote Claudius!!!" Shiki bellowed.
Claudius tilted his head, meeting Shiki's furious glare with an almost bored expression. "Escaped from Impel Down and still didn't learn your lesson, huh? Should've found a nice hole to hide in, Shiki. Why come here to die?"
Shiki's eyes twitched. He burst into bitter laughter. "That arrogance of yours hasn't faded at all..."
"Why would it?" Claudius shrugged. "We're not exactly old friends."
Shiki's expression darkened. He extended his arm toward the battlefield. "Let me give you a little 'welcome-back' gift from Impel Down!"
With a wave of his hand, dozens of massive prison ships floating in the sky suddenly descended.
Claudius squinted at the falling ships. Shiki had obviously used his Float-Float Fruit to lift the ships from Impel Down and was now dropping them like giant bombs onto Marineford.
Sengoku's face went pale. Garp exhaled slowly, rising from his chair in preparation to intervene.
Claudius stood as well, cracking his neck. "Why do you pirates love littering so much?" he muttered. "No manners at all."
He raised both arms and extended his hands skyward.
There was no grand declaration or flashy name for his move, just a pulse of invisible nitrogen-based force.
The massive prison ships, each easily double the size of a giant, slammed into an unseen barrier in midair. The impact shattered their hulls, sending wooden debris cascading harmlessly into the sea on either side of Marineford.
Gasps of disbelief spread through both Marine and pirate ranks alike.
Lowering his hands, Claudius shook his head. "Didn't like your gift, Shiki. If you want to please me, bring your head next time."
Before Shiki could respond, another figure emerged beside him on the floating warship.
She was enormous, clad in a black-and-white prison uniform. Her wild hair and crazed eyes made her instantly recognizable.
Claudius groaned. "Just great... that crazy old hag had to show up too."
"Linlin?" Newgate muttered in surprise.
Then it clicked. Charlotte Linlin had been locked away in Impel Down thanks to Claudius. Her thirst for revenge was inevitable.

"Mama mama... You locked me away, brat," Linlin sneered, her eyes gleaming with rage. "Time to pay the price!"
