Only I Cultivate-Chapter 20: Fight Darkness With Light? Bullshit
Chapter 20: Fight Darkness With Light? Bullshit
After Wu Yunru, Feng Fan, and Luo Li left, the teenage girl who had opened the door for the Parent Killers stood frozen in place.
Her vacant eyes remained locked on the wall ahead, empty and unblinking. But as the seconds passed, so did her change.
What began as a blank stare twisted into something unnatural—her eyes and mouth widening, her teeth sharpening and darkening. Her once youthful skin withered, deep wrinkles etching across her body as if she had aged fifty years in a matter of minutes.
The delicate smile a teenager should have morphed into something deeply unsettling.
The teenager's neck made cracking noises and twisted like a machine toward her parents' bedroom. The door was open, and her gaze locked onto them.
Her already wide smile stretched even further, causing the skin on her face to crack, blood seeping from the torn flesh.

She moved slowly, one step at a time, savoring the moments before the act that would feed her soul from others' pain and suffering.
Standing beside the sleeping woman, the possessed teenager extended her hand. Her nails lengthened and sharpened into cruel points.
She licked her cracked lips as she stared at the woman's peaceful face. Her hand hovered above it, descending inch by inch, relishing the anticipation of the horror she was about to unleash.
She didn't want the woman to die painlessly. No, she would pierce her flesh slowly, letting her wake up to the unbearable agony. Her screams would fill the room, her final moments soaked in terror—a feast for the ghost lurking within.
But just as the teenager's claws were inches from the woman's face, a fist came hurtling toward her twisted grin.

Each step Feng Fan took fueled his anger. But even as his rage burned, something inside him urged restraint, whispering for him to stay calm and wait for Luo Li.
And today, he finally understood what was trying to control him.
'You damn Straw Hat!'
His face twisted in fury, but he didn't stop climbing the stairs. 'You dragged me into this world against my will, and now you want to tell me what to do? What to feel?!'
The Straw Hat on his head hummed, a soft vibration filled with pleading, trying to comfort him. Trying to make him understand.
Feng Fan let his rage burn hotter. This was the only way he could fight back. 'Fuck off!'
He ignored the Straw Hat's silent warnings and pressed forward. 'I choose my own path.'
A low hum vibrated against his skull, a warning.
Feng Fan smirked as he stepped onto the sixth floor. 'Did the eight previous sect masters of the Ghost Sealing Sect listen to you too? And what happened to them?'
Silence.
That was all the answer he needed.
'I see the problem now... and I know the solution.'
Feng Fan didn't hesitate. He sprinted past the entrance to room 606, his sharp eyes immediately locking onto the teenage girl standing over her sleeping mother.
There was no time to waste.
He kicked off the ground, spiritual energy surging through his body and concentrating in his fist. Closing the distance in a flash, he struck before she could react.
His punch smashed into her face, twisting her neck at an unnatural 180-degree angle.
But in the blink of an eye, the head snapped back into place.
And then she smiled.
An eerie, unsettling grin stretched across her bloodied face.
"Did you come to play with us?"
Feng Fan's expression darkened. Even an idiot could tell—his attack had barely done anything.
Feng Fan tried to step back, aiming to put some distance between them. His plan was simple: stall for time until Luo Li arrived to restrain the girl.
But plans and reality were two very different things.
Before he could move, a cold hand clamped around his neck like a coiling snake.
"Did you come to play with us?" the possessed teenager asked again, her voice dripping with eerie excitement.
Feng Fan didn't want to respond, but even if he did, he couldn't. A chilling energy erupted from her grip, invading his body like a creeping frost.
He struggled to circulate his spiritual energy, trying to push back against the ghostly energy consuming him, but it was useless.
His energy was pure—warm, like a mother's embrace. But the energy flooding into him was dark, suffocating, like a father's cruel hand on an unwanted child.
The mother fought desperately to protect her child, but the father was stronger—an entire level above her. No matter how hard she resisted, she was powerless.
Feng Fan already understood the problem. Instead of struggling in vain, he closed his eyes and retreated into his inner palace.
Inside his inner palace, he stood before his spiritual domain:
A floating heart pulsed above a small mountain, its vibrant colors spilling across the land, giving birth to countless flowers. Below it, Ma Chen's spirit remained bound, chains stretching from the mountain to Feng Fan's very soul.
He recalled the mantra the Straw Hat had taught him, the foundation of his cultivation:
'The heart is the source of life, sending nutrients to nourish the light, which blossoms to seal and destroy the darkness.'
A noble sentiment.
A failed one.
'If that truly worked, would they have all died?' His lips curled into a smirk. 'Humanity's immortal path was severed because they weren't strong enough. Because they were fools.'
His eyes burned with conviction. "Since their path failed, why the hell should I follow it?"
They had forced a mission onto him. But the path he walked? That was his choice.
He looked at his inner palace—a place of balance, of order.
And he despised it.
"Fight darkness with light? Bullshit." His voice echoed across the space, laced with contempt.
"That's already failed eight times. If ghosts are the poison tainting this world... then I'll become the greater poison that wipes them out."
A violent tremor shook his inner palace.
The vibrant colors bled into darkness. The flowers withered, their petals curling into ash as black flames roared to life. The floating heart above the mountain cracked, its surface splitting apart as chains slithered into its core like writhing serpents.
The land beneath him crumbled. A vast abyss tore through the ground, swallowing everything in its path.
What remained was a kingdom of shadows. A domain where black flames flickered endlessly, consuming everything.
And at the center of it all stood a throne of obsidian and chains.
Feng Fan's lips curled into a smirk.
His inner palace had changed.
No longer a sanctuary of light and purity.
Now, it was a gateway to Hades itself.
Stepping forward, Feng Fan ascended the obsidian throne, sitting like a ruler of the damned.
With a single thought, he activated his cultivation technique.
Black flames slithered across the chains binding Ma Chen. Her spirit let out a piercing scream as she was forced to siphon spiritual energy from beyond the veil.
The hunt had begun.
