Chapter 69: Battle Maniac & Hogwarts Rage!

The Forbidden Forest echoed with the crackle of magic as Neville Longbottom and Bellatrix Lestrange squared off. The air was thick with tension, a fierce battle of wills about to unfold. Neville, his face a mask of grim determination, gripped his wand tightly. He was no longer the bumbling boy who had once hesitated to cast a spell; years of relentless training had turned him into a seasoned fighter, and Bellatrix would soon feel the weight of that.

Bellatrix, her wild hair flying around her face, sneered at him. "Well, well, if it isn't the little Longbottom brat, still alive despite his pathetic parents. Tell me, Neville, did they teach you how to fight, or did they just let you wallow in their shameful incompetence?"

Neville's eyes narrowed, his hands twitching with rage. His parents, once revered Aurors, had been tortured into insanity by Bellatrix and her Death Eater comrades. The thought of their broken minds twisted in his chest like a dagger.

"Don't you dare talk about them," Neville hissed, his voice cold and steady. "You might have broken them, but you'll never break me."

With a flick of Bellatrix's wand, the ground beneath Neville's feet cracked, sending jagged stones shooting towards him like missiles. "Crucio!" she screamed, the Cruciatus Curse aiming to bring him to his knees.

Neville's reflexes were beyond anything Bellatrix could have anticipated. With a swift roll to the side, he dodged the curse, his body moving like a blur. As he hit the ground, he countered with a spell of his own. "Incedio Malus!"

A jet of fire erupted from his wand, aimed directly at Bellatrix. She barely managed to deflect it with a quick "Protego," but the heat singed the edges of her robes. Her eyes flashed with fury.

"You dare challenge me?" she spat, flicking her wand again. This time, a green beam of deadly light shot from her tip, aiming for his chest.

Neville shouted, a shield of shadow forming in front of him, absorbing the Killing Curse with ease. His heart pounded, his eyes sharp. The battle was only just beginning.

Bellatrix lunged forward, her wand flashing as she shouted, "Serpensortia!" A massive serpent, venom dripping from its fangs, slithered out of her wand and lunged at Neville.

Neville grinned. "I've been practicing, Bella." He spun his wand in a perfect arc, his voice steady as he cast a spell he had perfected in his years of training: "Draconis Excidium!"

From his wand emerged a massive, ethereal dragon, made of shimmering silver fire. It roared, swiping its tail at the serpent, which was instantly vaporized by the heat. Bellatrix's eyes widened in shock as the dragon flew toward her, its claws tearing through the air.

Bellatrix snarled, "You think you can defeat me with that weak trick? I'll show you the true power of the Dark Lord!"

"Funny," Neville said, his voice dripping with venom. "You should've learned by now: the only thing powerful about you is your ego."

He slashed his wand in the air, and suddenly, a whirlwind of swirling blue energy enveloped Bellatrix. Her screams echoed as she struggled to escape the trap. "What is this?!" she shrieked, thrashing in the storm of energy.

"An invention of mine," Neville said, a wicked grin spreading across his face. "It's called Vortex Siphon. It siphons the magical energy out of its victim, draining them until there's nothing left but dust."

Bellatrix's frantic movements slowed as her magic was stripped away, her wand arm shaking. "You can't... you can't do this! I am Bellatrix Lestrange!"

Neville's eyes hardened. "And now you're just another casualty of your own madness."

With a final flick of his wand, he released the spell. Bellatrix screamed as she crumpled to the ground, her body disintegrating into nothingness. The last of her twisted magic was sucked into the vortex, and in the end, nothing remained but silence.

Neville stood, panting heavily, sweat dripping down his face. His chest heaved, but there was no pride in his victory—only a sense of justice fulfilled. The battle was over, but the war was far from done.

The sky above Hogwarts had turned a violent shade of purple, streaked with flashes of green and red from the battle raging below. The Death Eaters, led by Antonin Dolohov, had surrounded the ancient castle, their dark figures swarming across the grounds like locusts, their wands drawn and their eyes gleaming with malice. Over five hundred dark wizards and witches had come to break the magical shield surrounding the castle, and they would not stop until they had accomplished their task.

"Break the shield!" Dolohov shouted, his voice dripping with malevolent authority. "We cannot allow the defenses of this place to stand any longer!"

The Death Eaters raised their wands and unleashed a barrage of dark magic at the shimmering barrier that protected Hogwarts. A crackling wave of energy coursed through the air, as bolts of curses and hexes collided with the shield, shaking it to its very core. The magical dome flickered under the strain, the air crackling with tension, but still it held strong.

Inside the castle, the students of Hogwarts gathered, huddling together in the courtyard, their faces pale with fear. They had never been through a battle like this. The sound of screams and explosions echoed in the distance, mingling with the frantic whispers of students and teachers alike. Fear hung heavy in the air like a suffocating fog, and many of the younger students trembled, their hands shaking as they clutched their wands, unsure of how to fight.

Among the frightened faces were Fred and George Weasley, their eyes scanning the chaos around them. They saw the fear in the eyes of their fellow students, and they knew that something had to change. The shield was on the verge of breaking, and if they didn't do something, the Death Eaters would overrun them.

Fred clapped his brother on the back. "We've got this, George. Time to give them something to believe in."

George grinned back, his eyes gleaming with determination. "Right, Fred. Let's show them the power of Hogwarts."

With that, the twins pushed through the crowd, their steps firm and purposeful. They knew what they had to do. The speech that Raja had written and had them practice over and over again, back when they were preparing for a different kind of battle, was now their last hope.

As the twins approached the center of the courtyard, they both stopped. They raised their wands and, in unison, spoke with powerful, resonant voices that carried across the grounds.

Fred: "Today, we face the darkness! Not as individuals, but as one! Not as students, but as warriors! Each of us stands here today because we are not afraid to fight for what we believe in! We fight for Hogwarts! We fight for our friends! We fight for our homes!"

George: "This is not just a school, this is our home! And no one, not Dolohov, not Voldemort, not anyone, will take it from us! So I ask you, my fellow Hogwarts warriors: What will you do when your backs are against the wall? Will you run, or will you stand and fight? I say to you now—stand, and fight with everything you've got!"

The words hung in the air, and for a moment, the courtyard was silent. The students, once afraid, now stood taller. Their wands trembled less. They no longer felt the weight of fear but a burning determination. Fred and George's words had lit a fire in their hearts, and they were ready to face the coming storm.

Fred: "This is the time! Hogwarts is more than walls and towers. It is more than magic and spells. Hogwarts is the spirit of every student who has ever walked these halls. And the spirit of Hogwarts will never fall!"

George: "So, if you feel yourself hitting up against your limit, remember why you fight, remember for what cause you clench your fists, and then strike like you've never struck before! Because we are Hogwarts!"

The words echoed through the courtyard like a battle cry, and with a roar, the students began to move. No longer were they just students. They were fighters. They were warriors.

As the students approached the shimmering shield, the magical barrier trembled and shook, its energy draining with each passing second. Fred and George led the charge, their wands raised as the shield's magic began to falter.

The barrier flickered and then, with a sudden explosion of light, the shield broke. The sound of its shattering echoed across the battlefield, and the students, fueled by the rallying cry of the twins, charged forward with unrelenting fury. Wands raised, brooms at the ready, and hearts full of rage, they sprinted towards the waiting Death Eaters.

Fred: *"Defensive formations! Gryffindor, reinforce the left flank! Ravenclaw, secure the towers! Hufflepuff, take the lower grounds! S

lytherin... just don't help the Death Eaters!"*

The battle began in earnest. The Death Eaters, still reeling from the loss of their barrier, attempted to regroup. But the students of Hogwarts were no longer afraid. They fought with the ferocity of cornered animals, their magic quick and deadly.

Cedric Diggory sent a stunning spell straight into the chest of a Death Eater, knocking him to the ground. Angelina Johnson was a blur of motion, her wand a whirlwind of defensive and offensive spells, protecting her friends with forceful Shield Charms while striking down their enemies with well-placed curses.

Padma Patil and Parvati Patil fought side by side, wands flashing as they tore through the Death Eater ranks. Dean Thomas and Seamus Finnigan cast powerful explosive spells, sending Death Eaters flying in every direction. Luna Lovegood, though seemingly serene, was a force to be reckoned with, casting bizarre but effective spells that caught their enemies off guard.

But despite their best efforts, the Death Eaters fought back with ruthless precision. They launched Fiendfyre, a deadly and uncontrollable fire that threatened to incinerate everything in its path. Rocks were hurled with precision, flames trailing behind them as they soared towards the students.

Fred and George, fighting side by side, could see the fiery rocks approaching. With no time to spare, Fred shouted, "Protego Maxima!" and a powerful shield surrounded them, blocking the incoming barrage, but it wouldn't hold forever.

Just when things seemed dire, the ground beneath them shifted. A rumbling sound echoed through the battlefield, and massive walls of earth erupted from the ground, rising like a protective barrier around the students. The fiery rocks crashed against the earth walls, unable to penetrate them.

The students and teachers froze for a moment, unsure of what had just happened. A small figure, wearing a cape emblazoned with all four Hogwarts house symbols, appeared before them. It was a child, but with an air of immense power. He smiled widely, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

"I-It's fine now," the child said in a light, almost playful voice. "Why? Because I am here."

The students stared, shocked and confused. The child waved his hands and summoned a brick wall that blocked another barrage of flaming rocks.

"I am Hogi, the heroic spirit of Hogwarts, here to save you on the request of Big Brother Rudra D. Raja Kumara, Future Supreme Wizard King."

The words hung in the air, and the students blinked in disbelief. "What?" Draco Malfoy muttered, his wand still raised in confusion.

Hogi grinned widely and laughed. "If you feel yourself hitting up against your limit, remember why you clench your fists!" His words rang through the air like a thunderclap, and with that, he lowered the walls.

The students' spirits surged. The shock of Hogi's sudden appearance faded, replaced by the fire of battle once more. The students charged forward, a wave of fury and power crashing against the Death Eaters.

But just as the Death Eaters prepared to launch another attack, the air shimmered, and from behind them, a series of Portkeys activated. In an instant, Dumbledore, Sirius Black, Madam Bones, Moody, Lupin and a battalion of Aurors appeared, flanking the Death Eaters.

Dumbledore's voice rang out, clear and authoritative. "Attack!"

Lupin and Sirius transformed into dog and wolf and started bite the necks of death eaters.

Without hesitation, the Aurors and the professors launched a coordinated assault. Madam Bones and Moody began casting powerful curses, taking down Death Eaters left and right. The students joined in, their fury adding to the onslaught.

The Death Eaters, who had once seemed unstoppable, now found themselves outmatched. Their numbers were large, but they were no match for the combined might of Hogwarts, and when they tried to escape through Portkeys, they found themselves trapped. Dobby, the Butler, had activated a device that prevented any teleportation around the battlefield, trapping the Death Eaters in a desperate fight they could not win.

The battle raged on, but it was clear: Hogwarts would not fall this day.
