Origin Court: Accepting Disciples With A System-Chapter 270 The Intent To Issue
Yang Lujia dismissed the two patriarchs and told them about his plans for the future. These two patriarchs were too excited. They learned from Yang Lujia that there was a world beyond them and he came from there.
Moreover, with Yang Lujia's arrogant words, they completely believed him when he said that he was a ruler of that world and mere peak Saint Emperors were not even qualified to lick his foot. Just this information shocked them through and through, but they were more excited and felt even more fear towards Yang Lujia.
It was no wonder why this harmless-looking young man did not have any apprehensive feelings towards them from the start. It turned out he was very powerful and in front of such absolute strength, what could they do?
Moreover, they were even played by this young man. They could not afford to offend him.
Especially when they saw his pair of purple eyes. This struck fear in their hearts. It was as if they were going to explode at any moment—when those eyes looked at them, they felt like the chaos was upon them.
Rarely did Yang Lujia show a part of his strength in front of other people, but he found it somewhat amusing to see their faces contort just like that. The feeling of being feared by other people sparked his insides and liked it quite a lot.
He didn't know why but the moment he saw his father in this world, the notorious part of him suddenly awakened. As though a beast was residing in his heart that had now woken up. It was this kind of feeling that he kept himself checked. He did not want to go back to his old ways of disregarding others just to benefit himself.
The only thing worrying him, though, was… whether or not he could control himself when the time came.
"Are you sure you want to do all these roundabouts? You can just thrash them and make all of them submit to you. Why go through all these troubles? You are already strong enough to make them all feel dread," Brownie questioned, his tone showing the bafflement that others would normally have if they were this close to Yang Lujia for a long time. f𝘳e𝒆w𝗲𝐛𝘯𝐨νe𝚕.co𝓶
"If I told you I just want to do this because of someone, would you believe me? If he could do all those schemes, so can I. I don't want to bully people with my strength. Destroying them with my schemes would be more exciting."
'I don't know why, but I feel liberated when I say these things. Since when I saw my father's figure, I knew that I saw someone like that person again in this world. And this time again, I had another mountain I had to surmount.'
"Who is 'he'?" Brownie was intrigued, but his curiosity was left blank in an open space, where he did not get an answer.
"It's him, the one who made my entire life in the past miserable," Yang Lujia replied.
Brownie was confused, but he did not want to poke into Yang Lujia's past too much. It seemed like he did not know everything about him yet. He knew that there was something wrong with this kid. From his personality to the way he did things, it looked like his emotions were in a state of disarray, and continued to be in that state even until now.
As for the person he was referring to, this must be the person who made him become like this. He was strong but he was not entirely stable at all. When he heard of stories of him from the others before he came into being, he knew that he killed people without considering the consequences and had only his emotions do the thing.
"Whoever it is, I don't care. Just know that there are still people around you who care about your well-being. Do not strain yourself too much," Brownie advised and looked at Yang Lujia's reaction who became softer than it was earlier.
"Thanks, Brownie."
Brownie sighed and continued sleeping in Yang Lujia's arms while they watched the bustling people outside the window. Thinking of something, he thought of seeking more information about a friend he had made in the Third Region. His friends were countable, but that little girl he had met struck a string in his heart that he could not forget. He did not feel any romantic feelings, though, only the thought of protecting his little sister.
Although that woman's demeanor and air did make him remember his mother's—it was terrifying. Other than his father, he also feared the sight of his mother who always taught him everything and even scolded him for being too clumsy or careless in his exams.
That was why, every time, as he adapted through time, his scores in his exams back then were perfect. There was even a time when the university he was enrolled in gave up on his level of intelligence and he did not have anything to learn from them anymore. He graduated earlier than he expected and worked for his father hell and through.
That was where he felt how cruel his father was.
And that made her die a horrible death.
Solely because of him.
This tempered his emotions and sent his father to prison himself. But it was not enough to satisfy his thirst for revenge. However, he stopped right there and suppressed that feeling once more and enjoyed himself dealing with other people like how his father did so.
Soon enough, he rose to prominence and became the most renowned genius in the world who invented a lot of stuff and was known to be a saint for all people, albeit that wasn't how his own relatives and friends thought of him—practically everyone who saw the shadows behind this man.
Arriving almost instantly in front of the Adventurers' Association, he planned to use his identity as an adventure to issue a mission. When he read through them some kind of brochure, he discovered that although he was an adventurer, a registered one at that, it wasn't that easy to issue a mission.
Because he still needed to complete missions before he could actually do so. As for the discounts, it also depended on the badge he was currently holding.
But there was a but.
Yang Lujia was given an Emperor Badge. It was a badge that the young lady gave him with the order coming from the Adventurers' Association. At first, she opposed this idea, but despite being the daughter of their main headquarters' leader, she still complied with the idea of the Association Head, the reason why she confronted him right away after that.
"Master Yang, please accept this bow from this incompetent young lady." Yang Lujia was surprised when he saw the young lady again. However, this time, her eyes were not filled with contempt. Instead, her eyes were filled with fighting spirit.
He did not know the exact reason why, but he turned a blind eye to it.
"I dare not," Yang Lujia replied modestly. "However, this young lady here, would you care to explain to me about how to exactly issue a mission?"
The young lady blanked out as she stared dumbfoundedly at Yang Lujia's flawless face. She immediately blushed when she realized how her fighting spirit earlier had gone down the drain the moment he smiled.
Awkwardly coughing, she replied, "Master Yang, you don't have to be so polite. Let this young lady tell you how to issue a mission. It's actually just simple… with your Emperor Badge, that's not an issue at all."
She smiled sweetly at him.
Yang Lujia then found that she was actually beautiful but not as beautiful as Xia Hua. That woman was really beautiful in and out and was incomparable—for him. Despite that, however, although he was attracted, he did not pay any attention to her. He had something in his mind at hand. Having romantic feelings for someone could only hinder him from doing what he wanted to do and achieve.
"With your Emperor Badge, it would be a lot easier than other adventurers. It was not stated in the brochure because the Emperor Badge was a special token to those who were really strong and only you and a couple of people here had that. It was also the highest form of badge that this branch of ours could give you."
'Branch?'
