Otherworld Advance Team-Chapter 30 - 27 Hunter Squad
30: Chapter 27: Hunter Squad
30 -27: Hunter Squad
The square continually broadcasted each match.
Upon finding video footage of their competitors, Hu Daoke started laughing, “We’ve already finished our match, but these old men are still discussing theirs?”
In the video, the opposing team of five were huddled together discussing their strategy, engaged in a fiery debate due to differing opinions.
Luo’er glanced at them and then at his own score – a quite impressive one.
Given the current situation, it seemed unlikely that the opposing team would have a chance to surpass them.
This reassured Luo’er for the moment.
“Luo’er Luo’er, look quickly!” Tangmo, who was next to him, suddenly became excited.
She was jumping up and pointing to the projected image in the mid-air and calling out excitedly.
“What’s happening?” Following her gaze, Luo’er was stunned for a second. freёnovelkiss.com
“Elves, they are elves!” Tangmo happily announced.
In the image was a squad participating in a match, which was also a mission to infiltrate strictly guarded areas.
Among the opposing team was a girl with fair skin and a petite slender figure.
She had black hair, striking features and Luo’er was particularly surprised by her eyes and ears.
She had purple pupils and pointy ears, unlike Luo’er’s which hung down, hers stood erect and were short.
“Night Elf…” said Luo’er, as he recalled that these features were only possessed by those of mixed Night Elf blood.
So far, the Academy’s batch has only nurtured a quarter-blooded Elf.
Based on the currently available data, Haiya Academy should not have successfully cultivated more than five mixed-blood elves.
“What’s this lass’s name?” Hu Daoke asked, peering closely at the image while stroking his chin and frowning.
They had come across the half-elf’s data when investigating Luo’er’s identity, but he couldn’t recall it for the moment.
“What was her name again?” Tangmo scratched her head, having also forgotten the girl’s name.
“Shangguan Jiu!” Luo’er blurted out.
“Yes, yes, yes!” said Tangmo nodding her head enthusiastically, then her face quickly turned serious as she stared at Luo’er incredulously, “How did you know?”
“I’ve been around much longer than you guys, and I’m practically an insider.
So of course I would know.” explained Luo’er.
“Do you remember all the names of beautiful girls who were born?” Tangmo asked with narrowed eyes, clearly looking displeased and jealous.
“No, but when Shangguan Jiu was born, it caused quite a commotion at the academy!” Luo’er defended himself innocently.
“What kind of commotion?” asked Hu Daoke.
“Because she was the first successfully bred mixed-blood elf in the academy,” Luo’er explained.
“The first example…”
Everyone seemed to be at a loss for words, finally realizing something.
They had always thought that Luo’er was the Academy’s first half-elf.
However, based on what Luo’er had said earlier, Luo’er existed before the Academy.
Therefore, Shangguan Jiu was the first half-elf successfully bred by the Academy, while Luo’er was a native half-elf from Otherworld.
Cheng Ziang didn’t join the others’ conversation, instead he was watching the opposing team’s arrogant assassin with a frown on his face.
According to the overhead display, this was a five-person team called the Hunters.
The Captain was a Blaiqi mixed-blood named Murong with two human mixed-blood members, and one elf mixed-blood and one dwarf mixed-blood member.
What Cheng Ziang was paying particular attention to was the Aud mixed-blood named Zhuanzhu.
His role on the team was similar to Cheng Ziang’s, despite having different areas of focus.
Zhuanzhu was more like an assassin while Cheng Ziang was more of a scout.
The Hunter team had the same division of labor as their Zero Team.
There was one mage, one assassin, one supporter, and one protector responsible for safeguarding the mage.
The Aud mixed-blood named Zhuanzhu displayed exceptional skill during the infiltration mission.
He used a dagger, moving with ease and swiftly taking down several guards in an instant.
He adopted the same strategy as Cheng Ziang, which was to eliminate all the guards in the area to avoid being detected.
However, unlike Cheng Ziang, his methods were more decisive and swift.
Noticing Cheng Ziang’s mood, Luo’er also began observing and soon also furrowed his brows.
He checked the features and records of the other team and found that their performance was outstanding.
Given the current situation, this team called Hunters might likely be a stumbling block in their path to victory.
“Damn, this guy has the same style as Cheng Ziang!” said Hu Daoke, who had also noticed where Luo’er and the others were looking.
Ignoring Hu Daoke, Cheng Ziang continued to scrutinize every move of the opposing assassin.
He mentally simulated a showdown between him and the assassin, but it was apparent that this assassin, named after ancient times, had a slight edge over him in assassination techniques.
Only after the opposing team finished their match did they exit the virtual environment.
Climbing up from the simulation machine, Hu Daoke rubbed his throat and couldn’t help but to complain saying, “Lying down all day is even more tiring than sleeping, my throat is practically smoking.”
“Since we’ve achieved such good results, let’s celebrate together!” Tangmo suggested enthusiastically.
“Where do we celebrate?
We have another match tomorrow.” Luo’er asked.
