"Pei Yan! Are you, are you two okay?" Rushing into the outskirts of the battle ring, Ye Ruozai greeted only Pei Yan, not because he didn't care about Pei Jin's safety, but because aside from the mechanical Pei Yan, the person standing next to him could completely be said to be a stranger.

Hearing this result, Pei Yan and his sister exchanged a glance and a relieved smile appeared on their faces, as letting their friends deal with twice as strong foes had burdened Pei Yan with immense psychological pressure from the moment he made that decision. He feared his choice would result in his companions' casualties. Now the outcome was within the acceptable range, and all that remained was for him to deliver the decisive strike to end this battle.

"Lanloste, that fool! Even with five Round Table Knights, he managed to lose! Has the Lanloste family and the church nurtured a waste over so many years?" He believed that someone like Old Gu wouldn't mislead him during such a crucial competition without a reason.

However, Xia Yu was different from Wang Wenze, Ye Jiumu, and others; she was among the first batch of friends Pei Yan encountered upon entering the world of superhumans. They were well aware of each other's capabilities; he acknowledged Xia Yu's abilities. Yet, this competition was exceptionally unfavorable for her, as two waves of strong enemies countered her one after another, restricting her capabilities and preventing her from fully displaying her strength.

Sensing her brother's emotional changes, Pei Jin promptly reminded, "Stay calm! Don't fall for their trap! Since you've made your decision, don't get caught up in second-guessing. His sister's words were a wake-up call for Pei Yan.
