Chapter 179: Eldritch Awakening (2/3), Hunch

[ Hmm, once Alfred emerges from the cocoon, he will also have evolved and ranked up automatically due to that potential burst. ]

"Oh? Well then, I’d better evolve and rank up the other three to Emperor-rank, as well as myself."

Nearby, Azelis smiled. "So it’s time for you to eat fruits again. Go and do your thing. Just open a portal here leading to Monster Paradise, and we will return once Yuna, Max, and Jibril are done."

"Alright." John nodded.

After creating a portal leading to Monster Paradise, it only needed Essence Coins to maintain it.

Azelis put fifty Sovereign-rank Monsters around the portal, hiding it and keeping it safe while she continued to oversee the training of Yuna, Jibril, and Max.

Meanwhile, John ate several fruits of Voidspace before he finally got an enlightenment and entered deep meditation with his conciousness drifting into a dimension of Voidspace.

He at least needed all of his mastery at level 4 before breaking through to Emperor-rank.

...

Yuna and others also didn’t take long to train their Monsters and unleash their Gene Potential Burst.

All of their Monsters reached the peak of King-rank with two bursts, and became apex monsters of the same.

After they were done, they still needed John’s guidance on evolving and ranking up their Monsters because only John could see the possible evolution pathways, so the group returned to Monster Paradise and got their fruits before arriving at the meditation garden.

John was already in the garden, receiving enlightenment.

The others also soon entered enlightenment after eating the fruits.

Twenty-four hours passed by and enlightenment ended.

John opened his eyes first, the aura around him changing the fabric of space visually.

Voidspace Mastery level 4!

John needed some rest now as receiving enlightenment was also exhausting on the mind and soul, as his conciousness would be deep in trans in the dimension to comprehend the attribute.

He decided to take a look around at the border of Calamity Region.

John turned to Mr. Sirius and began roaming around, flying using a top-tier Sovereign-rank Wings that attached physically to his back.

The wings had Space and Time attributes, and they had an interesting function of instantly freezing time when a danger to his life appeared and transporting him far away safely, though with just a brief time freeze, he could return to Monster Paradise.

As John was roaming around, he naturally caught the attention of demons.

But a frown appeared on his face, feeling a gut-stinking premonition.

’What the fuck? People still want to go against me after everything I’ve done?’

John was honestly confused. He had established his position as a supreme being in this lower-ranked world.

Everyone knew that it was impossible to go against him.

Those who have tried have ceased to exist according to people.

"Mr. Sirius."

John heard the voice before he saw the figure appearing not too far from him.

Sovitra arrived with two female demons beside her.

"You disappeared for days again," Sovitra said with a chuckle.

"Well, here I am." John smiled. "But my heart feels a bit unsettled. It looks like some stupidity is on the way to greet me."

Sovitra blinked, her arms crossing under her big breasts. "Well, you have a rather good intuition. You see, the fellows of the Zarkhail family are acting a bit suspicious and your topic is trendy among them. And it’s slowly spreading to the other four families of the Obcodium faction."

The ten demon families were united, but they had two factions. One led by the Zarkhail family, and another led by Sovitra’s Meity family.

"I’ve tried to penetrate them to get more information, but they are keeping a rather tight lid. I’ll just say that you be careful, but I highly doubt they would do anything before the calamity," Sovitra said with a smile. "They are not that stupid."

"That’s true." John nodded.

Indeed, the demon families were not that stupid, but Minera who was gaining devil-controlled demons under her didn’t care about the calamity because she didn’t care even if the calamity wiped out all humans and demons as her safety was guaranteed.

"So, are you going to hold an auction or something?" Sovitra blinked, her eyes hopeful.

John didn’t plan to hold one more auction, but after that gut-stinking hunch he got, he decided to hold an auction.

The production was high, but John felt it wasn’t high enough, not to mention he had yet to gather enough Molding Essence for everyone to enter the Abyss Labyrinth. He needed 300 million Molding Essence.

And according to Chuthulos, it was better to enter the Abyss Labyrinth as a group because dying there once would make them return outside, so if they were a group, they could survive longer and acquire more Eldritch Energy, as well as other stuff from there.

"Alright, I am going to hold an auction. But it will not just be for demons. It will also be for the forces of humans. Spread the news to all forces. I will hold it sometime after twenty hours."

Sovitra’s eyes lit up. "Wonderful!"

The two female demons beside her were also excited.

There were too many powerhouses, but too low of the artifacts and other items from Mr. Sirius.

Everyone wanted to have something that could help them survive.

After giving the news, John went back to Monster Paradise.

Minera also saw John from afar, through the eyes of a few demons naturally.

She didn’t even want to look at John directly because she knew that he was someone like her.

Absolute secrecy was her style, and a way to increase her lethality against other powerful forces.

...

After entering Monster Paradise, John went to his second island and grew some fruits using Sovereign-rank resources.

What he needed now was a powerful Light variant attribute to complete his arsenal of powers that scaled with his Soul Techniques, Geno Abilities, and some of the items he kept to wield himself.

John also considered having Rexion’s variant light attribute—Starlight, but after searching some Monsters he got from the special dimension islands, he did some experiments, evolving Monsters to somehow manifest new Light variant attributes in them.

And he chose one of them before using it to plant Custom attribute trees of that attribute.

Chronolight.

It wasn’t just a variant of Light.

It was literally a combination of Time and Light!

John ate eight fruits that a tree of Chronolight bore, but after eating all of them, he didn’t receive enlightenment.

’Damn...’ John clicked his tongue and stood up, going to ripen another tree.

This was the first time he didn’t get enlightenment in a single batch. freēwēbηovel.c૦m

Fortunately, after eating five more fruits from a second batch, John received enlightenment.

Several hours later, Azelis and others began opening their eyes as they finished their 24-hour enlightenment period.

Seeing John still in meditation, with another kind of aura around him, Azelis blinked. "It looks like he entered another enlightenment session."

"Well then, let us enter too, I guess?" Max asked. "We still need to increase one of our masteries to level 4."

"Yeah."

"Alright, go and grab your fruits."

After saying that, Azelis went to take a look at the Monsters, particularly Alfred.

"He is still in the cocoon?" Azelis was surprised.

She was also curious to see the Eldritch Awakening that Alfred was going to have.

And just as she was about to leave, the cocoon cracked.

Chuthulos’ avatar also appeared nearby.

"Great, he’s almost finished."

Azelis curiously asked. "Can you tell me what kind of new powers Alfred will have with this Eldritch Awakening?"
