Overpowered Wizard-Chapter 280: B3: C70: Further War Crimes
Hannah put a hole that was large enough for her and Zarian to jump through into the giant woman’s chest. The recoil had stopped Hannah in her rush, turning the dried and cracked ground under her boots into a crater.
Zarian stumbled while following behind his tanky artificer, but he remained on his feet. He watched as the crimson flames finished the dying giant and fed Zarian and Hannah the last of the slave’s life energy.
The frenzied look in the giant slave’s eyes faded. Then a spark of humanity appeared, one that would haunt Zarian for a long time.
Before she fell dead, the giant slave gazed upon her killers with a look of deep gratitude. Then the moment of shared humanity passed quickly.
A notification appeared as eleven other giant slaves shambled out of the burning hole where Zarian and Hannah had left them.
<You’ve defeated an Enslavement System Invader!>
“Hannah, keep going. Kill them all!” Zarian urged, his heart clenching with inner ache, his free evil +7 driving him forward nonetheless. “Para, Bianca, and Gilbert are struggling!”
The other three were fighting an immensely arduous battle against Keiko and fifteen slaves. He could see them through spectral spiders lurking in the demolished zone or through the fuzzy connection he had with everyone on the spider network.
The three were doing their best, but Keiko and her slaves were blasting at them and bashing at them competently. The invaders forced the possessed cultivator, the lassoing ranger, and the beaming queen backward into a disadvantageous and retreating fight that could prove deadly, especially for Bianca.
The Radiant Queen had no revival power or ability to extend her life energy.
One mistake could cost Bianca her life.
Despite all of that, a sizable chunk of Zarian wanted to find a solution to free the slaves. But he said it best earlier. They couldn’t go soft.
An entire universe was at stake.
Zarian and his ultra powers were at stake.
So, Zarian let free evil +7 take the reins, guiding Hannah, who was already cut throat, sometimes more so than the Conquest Wizard.
“I’ll make this quick,” the Runic Artificer said firmly.
Her neon green matrix scrolled even faster around her. The Solid State Spectacles hummed with intense magic on her face. The mirror-like lens reflected the rushing slave giants escaping from the burning hole like scarred victims breaking away from hell.
The slave giants quickened their pace and intensity with their own body-enhancing magic. They moved like giant bronze-colored streaks, each of them becoming terrifying kingdom-destroyers that would’ve annihilated the humans back in the World of Castles and Caverns.
The ruined island city of the old Somnolite civilization could barely survive them.
Every footfall erupted with ground-breaking force that felt like earthquakes. The nearest ancient architectures that barely endured the prior blast crumbled from being near their wake.
The presence of the giant slaves and their body magic proved intolerable for most.
But not for Hannah and her genius abilities.
Before the slave giants could reach her and Zarian, Hannah did multiple things at once.
She dissolved the emptied blunderbuss into spare material her body absorbed because of her Cube Maker Magic +3. She quickly dug out a deep and wide slope in front of her. She also built under her and Zarian a rising half-pyramid.
She laid enchantments on the flat and pristine floor under their feet, giving herself and Zarian stability while making the slope between them and the giants slick with her runic magic.
As she equipped herself from her spatial pocket with another medieval shotgun, she used aura to pull the corpse of the slain giant onto the platform with them.
Zarian muttered thanks at Hannah’s forethought of placing the dead giant on the pyramid for him.
The wizard could sacrifice the blood from the corpse and send down an even bigger cast of Blazing Blood Blast again and again.
He also placed down a long and deep Quagmire Pit at the base of the rising pyramid where the slope began, further slowing down the giants.
Even with all of that, the monstrous slaves from another universe crossed over the quagmire and trekked up the slope so fast it was almost shocking. Some people might’ve admired them for their tenacity.
Zarian felt nothing as he struck the giant slaves with repeat casts of Aura Mastery + Blazing Blood Blasts. He thumped them back with a roaring crimson barrage and covered the slave giants with life-stealing flames.
The slave giants’ bloody wounds glowed bright crimson. The flames flared widely, reaching the wizard and artificer at the top of the pyramid, granting them the pleasure of extra life energy getting injected directly into the pool that surrounded their souls.
None of Zarian’s efforts could stop the determined slave giants alone. But he certainly slowed them down, making them easier pickings for Hannah who waited for her kills to come to her.
Again, she used her Mystic Rush Tank +3, but for the glass-cannon feature. The second blunderbuss shot came out larger, greater, and more deafening than before.
Hannah put multiple holes into multiple slave giants.
<You’ve defeated 4 Enslavement System Invaders!>
Zarian cast down more Blazing Blood Blasts from over Hannah’s shoulder.
The cold and ruthless artificer made her medieval shotgun dissolve. She pulled out a third one, took aim, and triggered the weapon with a flex of her runic might.
<You’ve defeated 5 Enslavement System Invaders!>
One more slave giant remained.
Zarian struck the giant woman in the chest multiple times to keep her from reaching them too soon. Hannah dissolved the third spent blunderbuss and pulled out another one, the fourth.
She took aim at the chest of their latest victim.
Zarian was already making preparations to cast Void Parade to help the other three when he felt a horrifying premonition through his Lion Prince skill.
He responded too late.
The last slave exploded with a golden fury that broke a corner of the One Percent Dome.
Zarian had most of his flesh flayed off until he triggered his Wizard Body Conversion skill. He turned into a creature of the void, something akin to nothingness and entropy, which stopped him from suffering anymore immediate damage.
His aura suffered drastically, however, but that was a price he needed to pay until the golden eruption subsided.
Zarian turned off Wizard Body Conversion. He rapidly fixed the corner of the dome that the golden explosion damaged, leaning heavily on his free evil +7.
He needed absolute focus to accomplish the most immediate goal and stop the worst from happening, ignoring the painful sorrow in his chest.
Once the dome sealed up completely and became stable again, Zarian searched for where Hannah’s dying body lay thousands of feet from the explosion.
She was stuck in a place between agony and life. Because of all the life energy she’d absorbed, she couldn’t die right away. But without Gilbert’s immediate mega healing skill, she couldn’t recover soon enough, either.
So she laid on her back as a charred half corpse, her Solid State Spectacles remaining pristine, reflecting Zarian’s darkened face under the wizard hat as he stood over her.

“Kill me,” Hannah said hoarsely. “I’ll revive.”
She had the Divine Revival Charm. She would get fixed up to one hundred percent afterward.
“I can’t,” Zarian murmured. “It takes a week for the revival charm to come back from cooldown. You might need it for sure during that time.”
Hannah moaned. “I must admit this is the cruelest thing you’ve ever done to me. But you are being logical. Carry on.”
Hardening his heart while acting with care, Zarian scooped up Hannah’s corpse-like body.
He noticed that not all of her bodysuit had gotten obliterated. In fact, it was quickly fixing itself.
Hannah had long ago made the discovery to let some damage pass through the enchanted gear she made for the Floridians. It was more important for the gear to survive and fix itself than to block one hundred percent damage before getting eradicated.
In Hannah’s case, that was doubly important since she had a lot of pre-made magitek craft inside of her bodysuit’s spatial storage. There was a real danger she could’ve lost that stuff if it wasn’t for the pass-through damage.
Zarian wondered morbidly if Hannah would still stand behind that design decision. She probably would. She was just as coldly logical as him and wouldn’t change that design.
With Hannah safe in his arms, he cast Void Parade. But not for himself or Hannah. He used the spell to pull Gilbert, Bianca, and Para/Naomi out of their losing fight.
Gilbert exited the wrinkled void without too many injuries on the surface.
However, his aura supply had fallen drastically, almost scarily so. He had large tears in his enchanted leather armor. His tower shield was one hit away from never recovering ever again.
The Rescue Ranger threw the shield aside, wrapped Hannah in his lasso, and poured his powers from Mega Healing Force and Behavior Force into Hannah’s corpse-like state. The artificer recovered at a speedy rate, but not before Keiko and her giant slaves tried to teleport themselves on top of the Floridians.
No worries. This time, Zarian had caught on to that tactic.
He used Void Domain to cancel the enslavers’ teleportation at a great cost to his aura. The price was worth paying, giving him and the others more time to set up.
The wizard passed Hannah’s healing body to Gilbert. Then Zarian moved toward the enslavers with an unhurried walk.
Para/Naomi took up the spot to his right as a shifted ten-foot catgirl cultivator. The sleeves and long coat of a purple spirit robe wavered about on their dynamic body.
Smiling, Bianca took up the spot to his left with a saunter. Her brilliant freedom wings flapped from her back. Her dazzling boots shone brightly like the twin suns on her feet.
Zarian remembered the time the three of them walked through Central Bramblevale during a mission called Operation Domination, almost in a similar fashion to this. But the current situation was far different, and the challenges had mounted to incredible heights.
More importantly, Zarian wasn’t playing around as much as he’d done back then.
Hannah had gotten hurt badly.
He’d forced Hannah to endure the pain for the sake of optimization.
Zarian’s concern for others outside of the Floridians disappeared, snuffed out like an ember. He focused on orchestrating a powerful attack as Keiko and her slaves charged straight through ruined building after ruined building with reckless speed.
The response to that required the utmost of coordination between the Conquest Wizard, the Radiant Queen, and the possessed cultivator, pushing their trust and familiarity to the zenith, unleashing a combination of magic powers that had only existed as conceptual theories up to this point.
From Zarian’s right, Para/Naomi thrust out their hands and unleashed a concentrated wave of thunderous phantom psychic force with an intense scream. The possessed cultivator put their all into the attack, going beyond their usual melee fighting style to help the party. Para even triggered the blue flaming rush of Half Ignition despite the low aura density, going further beyond with Naomi’s dynamic abilities.
From Zarian’s left, Bianca tapped her foot rhythmically, shook her hips, and moved with a dancer’s grace, her wings fluttering before she thrust out a hand. With her dazzling boots shining so brightly they were like two solar flares, she shot from her palm a torrent of resplendently radiant light that would’ve ripped straight through Zarian’s One Percent Darkness Dome. Bianca aimed to destroy.
None of their efforts would’ve been enough to halt Keiko and her remaining fifteen slaves until Zarian layered Void Domain on everything the ladies produced.
He infused his domain with Para/Naomi’s massive dark red and purple wave. He blended his domain with Bianca’s nearly blinding white torrent of annihilation despite them being opposites.
The void psionic wave passed through Keiko and her slaves with mind-rending force that had them all screaming, disrupting the link between the enslaver and the slaves, disconnecting their coordination between themselves and of themselves. That forced the giants to lose their footing and tumble madly out of control. Even Keiko’s struggled to endure, her abilities flickering on and off, forcing her to slow down with her slaves.
The invaders became easier targets for the void light beam to strike one by one quickly, freezing them on the spot with crystalized nothingness, irradiating them with the purity of entropy, delivering damage that was so monstrous, the bodies broke down into frozen void shards that splintered in all directions. They became fragmented, gem-hardened pieces of themselves that lost all humanity.
Out of all the void combination attacks, the void light technique between Zarian and Bianca might’ve been the most horrifying.
Yet, Keiko somehow endured.
She recovered her mind despite the passing of the void psionic wave. She concentrated all of her golden defensive power to block the void light even at the great cost to her own energy reserves. And she crashed into Zarian, her hand on his throat, choking him with a grip that felt as immovable as the world.
“I GOT YOU!” she screamed.
A spectral spider watching from close by spoke for Zarian, transmitting his voice. “No, I got you.”
Zarian dropped the One Percent Dome. Without that occupying a lot of his concentration and aura, he focused on wrapping himself and Keiko in the power of Void Parade.
He sent them tumbling through the void and away from the others.
By the time they exited, they landed on another island city miles away.
Zarian’s Wizard Body Conversion skill activated, making him akin to the void.
Keiko’s golden magic didn’t care, able to defy Zarian’s magic to keep her grip on his neck.

“Once I kill you, my power will enslave your soul,” Keiko snarled.
She slammed Zarian through a dozen buildings, back to back to back. Then she came to a stop after slamming him into the mucky floor, creating a gigantic crater.
She yammered on. “I will take your power. Then I’m going back home to have tea and cookies with my best friends.”
Keiko’s grip on his throat hurt more than anything else. Her magic forced Zarian to take some physical damage, but the rest passed through his void-like body without affecting him much other than Keiko’s grip.
The biggest problem was his rapidly draining aura, but he still had enough to work with. So, he summoned a spectral spider to converse with Keiko, biding his time for the finisher.
“Why?” he asked via the spider.
“Why?!” Keiko screamed, showing the anger of a young Japanese girl.
Zarian could clearly see her features now that her helmet and most of her enchanted gear were gone. She’d suffered some damages, but not nearly enough.
With the oil and rain falling down on them, Keiko swept her free hand through her sludge-slicked hair and sent it over her shoulder. Then she charged more of her golden power into her free hand, her fingers clenching into a fist.
“I remembered how I died because of you,” Keiko muttered. “I remembered how there was nothing me and my friends could do because of your darkness. All of our slaves perished. My friends perished. My Enslavement +10 meant nothing. The achievements, the stats, the skills, the traits, the levels, my rank – all of it meant nothing! Because of you!”
“For that, I apologize,” Zarian said through his spider. “But that’s the only apology you get.”
Keiko screamed!
She brought down her golden fist to kill Zarian.
He struck first with a One Percent Beam that flowed straight out of his chest. His void body from Wizard Body Conversion was a great source of void darkness, the most potent darkness Zarian could ever find. That was enough to knock Keiko off him and send her flying into the sky.
With part one of the finisher complete, Zarian transitioned into part two of his two-step killer attack.
Zarian pushed up to his feet, his tail flicking from side to side behind him. He pointed his left hand up. Then he used Aura Mastery + Void Domain + Blazing Blood Blast + Lion Prince + One Percent Darkness + something even more heinous. Something he’d never thought he would ever use.
But the threat provided by Keiko – the first of the invader wave – and from the Doulos Enslavement System was too great. He couldn’t hold anything back. So, he let his free evil +7 convince him to commit further war crimes.
He infused the combination attack with the tears of his wife that leaked from his marriage ring.
After a great sacrifice of his own blood, he sent from his palm a silent beam of crimson-tainted darkness that shook reality while streaking across the apocalyptic sky. Keiko conjured a powerful golden barrier, but that shattered instantly against Zarian’s combination beam.
She had no more slaves to sacrifice for more power.
She ran out of reserve energy despite her golden might.
Her Enslavement +10, which Zarian imagined as a powerful feature similar to an alignment, couldn’t withstand Zarian’s combo beam. She had her magic razed, her life energy drained, and her soul corrupted with the unholiness of Zarian’s evil Ultra Goddess of a wife.
Keiko screamed.
Her cry was strident and strong.
Then it cut off. Someone else replaced Keiko.
A shadowy, magnetic, and devilish voice took over with a resounding chuckle.
From the oil-raining and coal-hailing skies, a human-shaped doll with unnaturally gray skin and shadowy black hair hovered down. The doll touched the muck and stood on top of it instead of sinking shin deep into the stuff like Zarian.
The doll smiled. “Hello, husband.”
“Hello, wife,” Zarian greeted.
“Thank you for this most wonderful gift.”
“You can thank me later. I have an offer.”
The doll representing his wife tilted her head. “Do tell.”
“That inconvenient thing that you want me to do … you can cash that in now.”
“How so?”
“Join my adventurer party. See what it’s like from a more mortal perspective. Have fun playing as an adventurer.”
Luciana hesitated, but not out of aversion. Her doll body shook with maniacal excitement in a way that was extremely inhuman. The smile on her porcelain face grew wider, creepier.
She spoke with a voice that dripped with the deepest incarnation of sin and horror. “Oh, husband, you are such a delight. That is a wonderful offer. I accept. Let us go on an adventure together.”
