Exile grit his teeth as he slammed into the wolf, trying to charge at Daynah. The wolf let out a whimper as it was sent sprawling through the snow. Exile eyed the beast cautiously as he placed himself between it and Daynah.

Exile heard a relieved sigh from behind him. Clearly, she had been close to the end of her rope before his arrival. So he was unsure how much help she could still be in that fight. He shot a questioning glance over his shoulder, which she understood immediately.

"I can still go on for a bit. I'm not much use in a melee, but I'll support you with my spells as best as I can." Daynah smiled nervously as she put more distance between them.

Exile nodded before turning his attention back to the Elite mob. "Just do what you can and get out of here."

The wolf paced around in front of him, but exile matched its movements. Not allowing it to get a clear line to Daynah. As he was blocking the wolf, he heard a few curses being let out behind him.

"Sorry! I can't buff you! It keeps saying you're an enemy! All I can do is debuff the wolf!" Daynah suddenly shouted, causing Exile to frown.

"That's fine! Just do it!" He roared in response as he started to close the distance with the elite.

The wolf seemed to hesitate at that development. It got the feeling that it had just become the prey in that situation. However, before it could process what to do next, several debuffs landed on it. Making it feel incredibly weak.

"Get it now!" Daynah shouted, and Exile sprang into action.

The wolf did not know what to do in that situation. Exile hacked at its snout with his axe while bashing it on its temple with the rim of his shield. The assault was sudden and violent. Aiming to confuse and disorientate the wolf as he attempted to drive it to the ground to make it even more helpless.

The damage that he dealt was not insignificant either, thanks to the stacked debuffs that Daynah had inflicted on it. But that seemed to be the limit of her aid. Exile glanced over his shoulder to see her fleeing the battlefield.

Meanwhile, Severance and Skovi's fight seemed to be going well. It appeared that Skovi's healing did not have the same restrictions as Daynah's support spells. With Skovi's aid, Severance was able to go toe to toe against his elite.

'I wonder if Skovi has limits to his abilities? Does he have something like DP as well? I should assume so otherwise that would just be broken...' Exile felt like he had the time to make such internal comments as his own elite whimpered pathetically under his beating.

Aeri appeared frustrated with the situation. She was the only one dealing with her Elite on her own now. She did not count Exile in that as he had received help from Daynah before she disappeared. She quickly avoided her wolf's next attack as she performed her Wind Blade spell. A shallow cut appeared on the side of the wolf's head, causing it to yelp in pain.

In truth, she was not a good match for these opponents. Both of them focused on Speed more than anything else. Meaning that any damage dealt to either party was minimal at best. At the same time, her Authority stat had suffered because she was focused on Speed so it left her with hardly any choices in how to proceed.

As she trembled in anger, she suddenly heard a wolf howling from behind her. A white blur passed her by and lunged at the golden wolf. A deep frown appeared on Aeri's face as she recognised Exile's wolf. A sense of helplessness washed over her as she glanced back to see that Severance had defeated his wolf and was on his way to help her too. 𝗳𝘳𝒆𝘦𝑤𝐞𝚋𝗻𝚘𝘷𝘦𝙡.𝑐𝐨𝘮

'Damn! Do they think so little of me! Why aren't they rushing to help Exile?' She was about to scream at Severance when something caught her eye. Off to the side were motes of light floating into the sky, and Exile was calmly collecting materials left on the ground!

Aeri felt like screaming in frustration! Exile's prestige among the players was sure to skyrocket after that event! If it were not for his presence, then the three of them most likely would have lost that battle! The players were sure to realise this. She could already hear the mocking voices claiming that they would have been helpless without him!

However, she could only grit her teeth in frustration as she turned to help Skovi deal with the golden wolf. The battle did not last long after that. Between Skovi, Aeri and Severance they encircled the beast and gave it no room to breathe as they never stopped their offensive.

Exile took the chance to slip away into the crowd while Aeri was distracted. The crowd cheered at his achievements and congratulated him in passing. Even though everyone in that section of the battlefield supported the ruling faction, they recognised his skill and luck in handling the situation. They knew that they would have been the ones to pay the price if the Tier 1 players failed in that task.

As he passed freely through the crowd, he heard a sudden ecstatic cheer erupt behind him. 'I guess they finally finished it off.' Exile let out a long sigh of relief. His eyes focused on the members of his Pantheon up ahead as the wolves started to retreat from that fight. 'Seems like we barely avoided disaster this time...'

Exile frowned as he thought about the terror waiting in the deep. 'But what do we do if that thing devours more orbs and decides to come to the surface?' Exile groaned when he thought about that possibility. 'We'll have to strengthen the alliance quickly so we can stop that from happening....'
