PATH OF THE STAR HUNTER-Chapter 583
583 Chapter 583 Dark Desires
Fear and uncertainty filled Revna’s heart; she barely understood what Desmond was going through. Though oblivious to the fine details, the conversation between Desmond and Nicolai was something she had listened to from start to finish. Now, Revna could only pray that Desmond would win. Otherwise, she wouldn’t know what to do.
The red Aura explosion scared her badly, but Desmond remained calm even after that, making Revna very uneasy. The Aura vanished from nowhere as Desmond’s hair and eyes returned to normal. Seeing that beautiful sapphire blue in Desmond’s eyes, Revna calmed down.
Feeling the numbing effects of the bite wear off, Revna scrambled over to Desmond. Revna was about to greet Desmond with a relieved smile when she saw something terrifying. Like water from a collapsed dam, red invaded Desmond’s eyes again, while in his hair, the black was devoured by the white.
Stifling a groan, Desmond spoke to Revna as he saw the fear in the girl’s eyes. “Forgive me, Revna; I’m too thirsty.”
All the fighting against Nicolai had left Desmond mentally drained, unable to resist the urges that came from his new lineage. Driven by the hunger that invaded his body due to his transformation, Desmond approached Revna taking her by the waist before turning her and hugging her.
Revna felt Desmond holding her waist with one arm while another pressed against her generous breasts as Desmond had her shoulder to keep her still. And it was then that Revna felt it again, that bite that pierced her skin, that it sought to drink her blood.
Revna teetered between fear and pleasure, uncertain if it was really Desmond who bit her or if the man she loved had been eaten. Her only comfort was the touch of care and warmth that filled the tense embrace Desmond held her in.
That intoxicating sensation washed over Revna again, an unholy pleasure of unknown origin, an irrational feeling that washed over her as her life was drained from her body. Unaware of her, Revna let out a moan, accompanied by steam rising from her warm breath.
Desmond’s grip on Revna’s body grew stronger, pressing down on Revna’s breasts, but the speed with which he drank her blood slowed. Revna wasn’t the only one who found what was going on exciting. Desmond released her hold on Revna’s shoulder as her hand sought almost instinctively to cling to her luscious breasts.
.....
How could Revna resist Desmond’s caresses? Receiving her Master’s caresses was what Revna craved the most, the seemingly aphrodisiac bite only intensifying things. When Revna felt electrifying pleasure wash over her, Desmond played roughly with her breasts, squeezing them and pinching her little cherries.
Revna’s moans of pleasure only exacerbated Desmond’s lust, his lust, and his hunger. A strong need to dominate, abuse, and enjoy Revna’s body invaded Desmond’s mind.
Desmond just wanted to desecrate her with violence and cruelty, to watch her writhe between pleasure and pain. At the same time, he fed on her until the spark of Revna’s life was extinguished from her eyes.
Desmond immediately backed away, taking his voracious bite away from Revna, unable to believe what he was thinking a second ago.
A deep fear filled Desmond, and her hold on Revna completely lost any passion or fierceness. Now, he clung to her like someone worried about using too much force to hold the most fragile thing in the world.
Between the pleasure and the effects of the anesthesia, Revna just lay there, helpless, being held by Desmond. One look at Revna’s face would tell anyone that she was more than willing and pleased to meet her own end under Desmond’s heady and intoxicating bite and caress.
Desmond was a completely different story. His mind was in chaos, invaded by a strong fear of what he was about to do. It took Desmond all his mental strength to calm himself down and realize what had happened. Thanks to Desmond’s memories of Nicolai, he knew exactly what was happening to him.
It was the greatest curse of Nicolai’s race, a man who would be quenched by nothing but blood. The more injured or exhausted Desmond was, the stronger the hunger would become, reaching levels that could drive him insane in more drastic cases.
But that wasn’t all; that wasn’t enough to explain what went through Desmond’s mind. Unfortunately, the true source of those dark thoughts was more complex to solve than hunger. Nicolai’s race was by nature cruel and bloodthirsty, arrogant, and supremacist; this went beyond something cultural. It was something they carried in their blood.
Now that Desmond carried Nicolai’s blood, that same cruelty carried his demeanor. The blood that ran through his veins evoked those dark thoughts and desires, which weren’t something Desmond could get rid of.
Fortunately, Desmond was still himself, and such thoughts could be controlled and repressed. However, it wasn’t the healthiest thing to do. Desmond’s only consolation was that those dark thoughts didn’t usually recur as long as he was well-fed. Things would get worse as his hunger grew.
What had just happened was an exceptional situation where Desmond was completely spiritually exhausted due to his fight with Nicolai and was starving due to his transformation.
Even then, Desmond had found the willpower to resist his urges and only feed a little from Revna before releasing her. Desmond was also glad that even in his starved state, his treatment of Revna wasn’t violent or cruel.
Desmond snapped out of his thoughts and saw a small trail of blood coming from Revna’s neck where he had bitten her. Showing strong self-control and clear concern for Revna’s current state, Desmond just kissed Revna’s neck, licking the blood from her and resisting the urge to bite her again. Just then, Desmond whispered in Revna’s ear.
“I’m so sorry, Revna; I was really starving. Can we stay like this a little longer? I would like to rest for a moment.”
Although Desmond was apologizing, he still had a seductive, predatory tinge to his words, sending exciting mixed signals to Revna. To Revna’s misfortune or fortune, she could barely form coherent thoughts at the moment, so she just nodded without verbally responding.
Not fully aware of the chaos that Revna’s mind had become, Desmond took advantage of the vulnerable Revna by holding onto her seductive body. Desmond didn’t realize that the way he held her was charged with sexual undertones, unaware of the touch of lust that now carried his most subconscious behavior.
Meanwhile, Desmond was thinking about everything that had happened. After all, Desmond had just had a fucking duel of souls against an ancient vampire with a God complex and planned to resurrect through him.
Desmond would not only be lying if he said that he wasn’t overwhelmed by the whole situation but that no one would believe him if he said so. To process the situation, Desmond began to go through the fragmented memories he obtained from Nicolai. There was a lot of important information in there, but there were too many gaps and a need for more context.
Only memories that deeply marked Nicolai remained intact. Desmond saw some memories of when he awakened his special powers for being a mutant of his race. As well as some scenes of Nicolai’s greatest successes and defeats.
In truth, most memories were simply too fragmented to form coherent scenes. Desmond only managed to glean hints and cues from these. The only memories firmly etched in his mind were related to Nicolai’s downfall, his dreams of greatness eventually crushed. And the woman who caused his downfall with her unattainable beauty and presence alone... Lilith.
“Lilith.” Desmond muttered with mixed feelings about it. Nicolai’s memories of Lilith were intense, filled with his madness and burning obsession with her, so much so that Desmond was slightly affected by them.
However, unlike Nicolai, the madman who became obsessed with Lilith, Desmond was more like a bystander who felt too much empathy for the situation. As such, Desmond saw things that Nicolai didn’t. Desmond saw Lilith, and he saw something in her that didn’t seem to fit, something strangely human about her.
Much to Desmond’s annoyance, Nicolai didn’t even really know Lilith. Nicolai’s asshole was like someone who fell in love with an idol and decided that she had to belong to him. To be exact, Nicolai didn’t love Lilith; he was just obsessed with her, coveting her for all the wrong reasons. 𝘧r𝗲𝑒𝔀𝘦𝙗𝓃oν𝑒l.𝐜𝗼m
As someone with an ego the size of the world and a god complex, Nicolai believed that only Lilith, that beautiful, powerful and perfect woman was worthy of him. And with Nicolai’s personality, he would never tolerate her being anyone else, which led to the tragedy between them.
To top it off, if it weren’t for the mutation in Nicolai’s blood, with higher powers, he would never have been able to get close to her. In the end, Lilith met the end of her because some random jerk became insanely obsessed with her, and it just so happened that that same jerk’s blood could be used as a weapon against her.
Lilith was the only victim in all of this from start to finish. “Now I understand why Myrilla would want to intervene. She should hate that such a ridiculous tragedy will be carried out in the name of love by someone incapable of feeling that emotion.”
