Phoenix Revenge System-Chapter 124: PRS 25 Liona
Naomi, as the person closest to Bana and Lala, had to devote herself to caring for them after the operation was completed. She felt this was her duty, even though it weighed heavily on her heart.
After dealing with the complicated hospital administration, Naomi took Toro to her grandmother’s house temporarily until her husband was discharged from the hospital so that someone could take care of the three-year-old toddler. She couldn’t possibly take a small child back and forth to the hospital.
Furthermore, the woman did not return home because she was very busy taking care of two patients who were very fussy and emotionally unstable after Januar’s adultery and triple divorce. Both of them kept complaining and asking for things.
"Sir, ma’am, I’m tired. I haven’t slept for two days and two nights, and I’ve been taking care of you both. My eyes are sore, and my body is aching all over. So I want to go home and rest for a while while taking the dirty clothes to be washed. I’ll come back here this afternoon with food and clean clothes for you both," Naomi said as she put Bana and Lala’s dirty clothes into a large black plastic bag with a tired gesture.
Seeing Naomi’s pale, tired face and sunken eyes, Bana and Lala couldn’t bear to let her stay at the hospital if she was going to get sick herself and not be able to take care of them, even though they still had to stay here for a few more days.
"Yes, you go home first. We understand. But don’t be too long, we need you here," said Lala in a commanding tone, though she tried to sound gentle.
"Alright. If you go home, please stop by my house and take the money in the kitchen as usual, as well as some from other places," said Lala, telling Naomi where else she could find money to help pay for the hospital bills later. "Make sure you remember where it is."
Naomi nodded in understanding because, to be honest, the money in her wallet was also running low, so without money from Lala, she wouldn’t know how else to get them both good food to order from a restaurant because Bana and Lala didn’t like the food provided by the hospital.
"The hospital food is so bland, it’s not good. Please buy something tasty from outside," Bana complained, grimacing in pain.
"Yes, sir, I’ll buy it later," Naomi replied resignedly.
Carrying her husband’s and sister-in-law’s dirty clothes, Naomi boarded the public transport passing in front of the hospital. Her body felt completely shattered from lack of sleep and exhaustion.
Inside the public transport, Naomi kept daydreaming throughout the journey about the future of her married life. Her mind was chaotic and confused.
Just taking care of the two of them in the hospital had already made her this busy and tired. What about later, when she had to live with the talkative Lala in the same house? Could she endure it?
Without money from Januar, would Lala be as kind to her as she was now? Just imagining it made Naomi feel frustrated. She knew Lala’s true nature well—she liked to boss people around and was arrogant.
"Why is my life like this? I had just started to live comfortably, and now I’m poor again. What should I do?" she muttered to herself as she stared blankly out the window of the public transportation.
Before she knew it, Naomi had arrived at the intersection leading to her housing complex. Not wanting to walk while carrying the dirty laundry she had to clean, she took a pedicab to her house.
"To the Sejahtera complex, please take me there," Naomi said to the pedicab driver.
Naomi ignored the cynical stares of her neighbors who happened to pass by, trying to put on a brave face because the fault lay with her and her husband, so she chose to remain silent rather than waste her energy arguing. She was too tired to argue.
After paying the rickshaw driver who had taken her there, Naomi, who had just entered after opening the gate, was shocked to see that the motorcycle that had been parked neatly in the garage was gone. Vanished without a trace!
"Where’s the motorcycle? Oh my God, don’t tell me it’s been stolen!" she screamed in panic.
In a panic, she immediately ran to the neighborhood chief’s house to report the disappearance of the motorcycle from her home. Her heart was pounding.
The neighborhood chief’s wife, who saw Naomi running toward her with a panicked expression, immediately opened the gate with a strange smile on her face.
"What’s wrong, ma’am? Why are you running around in a panic like that? Sit down first," asked the neighborhood association leader as she helped Naomi sit down on the porch chair.
"Ma’am, my motorcycle... my motorcycle is gone! Someone stole it! Please, ma’am, where should I report this?" said Naomi, breathing heavily as she clutched her chest.
Mrs. RT, who began to understand what was making Naomi panic, immediately gave her a glass of water to calm her down while smiling broadly.
"Drink first, ma’am, then I’ll explain everything. Calm down, your motorcycle wasn’t stolen," said Mrs. RT with a broad smile and a terrifying look, making Naomi a little scared and confused.
Curious about what Mrs. RT wanted to tell her, Naomi quickly finished the water in the glass in just three gulps. Her throat was indeed very dry.
"Okay, ma’am, I’m ready to hear your story now. Where is my motorcycle actually?" said Naomi, placing the empty glass on the table with trembling hands.
Mrs. RT, who was already furious with Naomi and her husband’s behavior, began to tell her everything in detail, about the decisive actions Januar had taken to take back all his possessions.
"So my motorcycle was taken by Mr. Januar?" asked Naomi, surprised, her eyes wide. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing.
"Correction, it was Mr. Januar’s motorcycle that Lala lent to your husband. The motorcycle is still legally Mr. Januar’s property because all the documents are still in Mr. Januar’s name, and he bought it with his own money, so it’s only natural that he took back what was rightfully his. You people are too greedy, even though you were given a loan, you still feel like you own it!" said Mrs. RT emphatically, folding her arms across her chest.
Gulp!
Being scolded like that by Mrs. RT, Naomi could only swallow her saliva with difficulty, all the words she had prepared for her defense vanished. She felt her throat tighten.
Damn it! Stupid! Why didn’t we think of changing the name first!
She never imagined that in order to avoid paying vehicle taxes, they would suffer such a loss. This was truly a huge loss.
If she had known, she should have asked Lala to change the vehicle registration and ownership certificate to her husband’s name from the beginning. As for the tax payments, she could have asked Lela to pay them.

The foolishness that ended in loss was not only experienced by Naomi, but also by Lala’s family, where dozens of hectares of rice fields, land for livestock pens, two motor vehicles, and a house now occupied by Lias, Lala’s older brother, were all still registered under Januar’s name, making it easy for him to take everything after Anang’s DNA test results came out of the hospital.
Arto, who had connections at the hospital, was willing to dig deep into his pockets to ensure that Anang’s DNA test results came out quickly. He was eager to resolve the issue.
After the DNA test results came out and it was confirmed that Januar was not the biological father of the boy, it didn’t take long for Januar to take Anang to his in-laws’ house along with Lela’s belongings, which he brought back to his parents’ house because they were legally divorced according to religious law, making it forbidden for them to live together in the same house. Therefore, everything related to that woman was returned by Januar to her parents.
Anang, who knew nothing about this, was very happy to be taken to his grandparents’ house because Lala’s parents had always loved and pampered him.
"Grandpa! Grandma! Anang is here!" exclaimed the little boy as he got out of the car and ran happily towards them.
Dadang and Lasmi could only smile falsely to welcome Anang’s arrival because they had already heard the news about their son’s adultery and the three divorces that Januar had given, so they were not too surprised to see their former son-in-law arrive carrying many items that were suspected to belong to Lala and Anang.
"Welcome, Januar. Please come in," said Dadang with a trembling voice.
"I think you already know the reason for my visit. Here are the DNA test results that prove Anang is not my biological son," Januar handed over the envelope containing the test results with a firm hand. "As for who Anang’s father is, I think you already know who he is, so I don’t need to explain it again, right?"
What Januar said made the couple hang their heads in shame, as they hadn’t expected the secret that Lala and her extended family had hidden for four years to finally come to light. It was so embarrassing.
"We, as Lala’s parents, would like to apologize to Januar for our daughter Lala’s actions, which have hurt and tarnished the good name of Mr. Arto’s family. We are truly sorry. As parents, we feel we have failed to raise our child properly. I accept the decision that Januar has made because the mistake lies with our own child, whom we failed to raise well," said Dadang, Lala’s father, sincerely, almost in tears.
Dadang felt that he no longer had a place in front of Januar, who had helped their family so much that they were able to escape poverty and live comfortably as they do now. He felt like a traitor.
Seeing the sincerity of Dadang’s apology, Januar was no longer as harsh as before, even though he had to remain firm with what had been decided.
"I accept your apology, but as for Lala, I will still divorce her. There is no forgiveness for such betrayal. I have already filed for divorce at the religious court for processing," Januar sighed deeply before continuing. "As for the house you are currently living in, I will not take it back because I still respect you as a parent. But I will take the rice fields, the two motorcycles, and the house that Lias is living in because all the ownership documents are still in my name. I hope you and your wife can understand. If you object, then I will not hesitate to take this case to court," said Januar firmly, staring intently at his father-in-law.
Not wanting to beat around the bush, after delivering Anang and Lala and her child’s belongings and conveying everything that needed to be said, Januar took his leave, leaving the couple sitting silently in the living room with pale faces.
"Good afternoon, sir, ma’am. I’ll take my leave now," said Januar, bowing respectfully before leaving.
"Sir, what are we going to do now? Without the rice fields, where will we get food? What about Lias and his family who live in that house? Do they have to leave too?" said Lasmi, Lala’s mother, worriedly as she held her husband’s arm tightly.
"This is karma, the result of your son’s own actions. We can’t blame Januar. He has been too patient with all of us," said Dadang disappointedly as he slammed his fist on the table.
He didn’t blame Januar because from the beginning, it was Lela who was at fault, and they were also complicit because they had covered up the lie together with their child in order to live comfortably and luxuriously with the wealth that Januar possessed. They would all bear the consequences now.
