Phoenix Revenge System-Chapter 131: PRS 32 Liona
"Sir, tomorrow the teachers at school have a meeting, so we have the day off. How about if you pay the employees for the morning shift only and give them the rest of the day off? We can go visit Mom and our little brother at Grandpa and Grandma’s house," said Leo, breaking the silence that enveloped their living room.
Hearing their brother’s words, Lan and Lano looked very excited. Their eyes sparkled with hope. "That’s right, sir, let’s visit mom and sister. It’s been so long since we last saw them," they said in unison as they approached their father.
"Yes, sir, we really miss mom and Liona. It feels like it’s been years, not just days," added Leo pleadingly.
Laus, who had been feeling guilty towards his wife since the afternoon because he had been deceived by Lina, immediately nodded in agreement. His heart felt heavy remembering that embarrassing incident.
"All right, children. Now go to sleep. Tomorrow, after paying the workers, I will take you to your grandparents’ house in the city. We will pick up your mother and sister," replied Laus with a relieved voice.
"Yay... tomorrow we will see Liona!" shouted Lan and Lano excitedly, jumping up and down with joy.
"She must be bigger and cuter now," said Lan with a big smile.
"I also want to play with Liona. She must be good at smiling now," replied Lano enthusiastically.
The three of them immediately walked quickly to the bathroom, brushed their teeth, and performed wudu. This was a habit they had to do before going to bed, a legacy from their mother who always emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness and worship before resting.
After his three children entered the room with bright faces, Laus, who was still sitting in the living room, could only stare at the darkness of the night from behind the window, which was still not covered by curtains, accompanied by a cup of coffee that was only half full. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
He felt very guilty towards his wife for what had happened that afternoon. If only there had been no incident that caused Lina to lose consciousness and roll around on the floor, who knows what he would have said to Lura about his unpraiseworthy behavior, even though everything he did was subconscious due to the influence of the love spell that Lina had cast on him.
"Oh God, forgive me for the sin I almost committed," Laus muttered softly as he rubbed his tired face.
To calm himself down, Laus took a cigarette that he had tucked away on the buffet in the living room and took a deep drag to ease his troubled heart. The cigarette smoke billowed slowly in the quiet night air.
Laus was not a heavy smoker; he only smoked when he was really stressed and depressed like this. Otherwise, he would not touch cigarettes at all so that his children, who were still growing up, would not follow his example.
After finishing one cigarette while continuing to reflect on his mistakes, Laus went into his room to rest because tomorrow he had to make a fairly long journey to the city.
The next day, the workers who came to work were surprised to receive their wages, as they did not expect to be given the day off. Laus never gave them time off on workdays.
Although surprised, they also understood Laus’s desire to immediately go to his in-laws’ house in the city to pick up his wife and children because what had happened yesterday had spread throughout the village of Satarara and everyone already knew about it.
"Yes, Laus, take your wife home. This house feels empty without Lura and Liona," said Budhe Larti with a worried tone.
"That’s right. We don’t know what reckless things Lina will do to you and your family, considering she seems so obsessed with you. A woman like that is very dangerous," said Budhe Sumiati, shaking her head.
"Sumiati is right, a person who has lost their mind will do anything. Having your wife at home can reduce any misunderstandings. Besides, the children really need their mother," said Grandma Nah wisely.
"Yes, Auntie, Grandma. Thank you very much for your advice and concern. I also plan to bring Lura and Liona home today so that the children and I can be more at ease. The house feels empty without them," said Laus sincerely.
After paying his employees and giving them some important messages about work, Laus locked up everything, including his business, before leaving for the city.
Not forgetting, he entrusted his house to his neighbors on the right and left because he was afraid he would only return the next day. "Please take care of the house, sir. If anything happens, please let me know," Laus said to his neighbor.
Meanwhile, at Arto’s residence, since it was Saturday, everyone was off work and chose to spend time together because Liona would soon be returning home with her father.
While gathered in the front yard after breakfast, Liona suddenly shouted cheerfully, "Mom, Dad and my brother are coming soon! I can feel they are close!"
Liona’s shout naturally drew the attention of everyone who was chatting casually, and they looked at her in surprise.
"Oh, your father and brother are on their way here, dear..." said Atri as she helped Liona, who had fallen several times while enthusiastically learning to walk.
Liona, with her chubby white body, walked unsteadily. Even though she fell several times while walking towards Lura, the little baby refused to be helped up by Atri, putting on a cute sulky face.
"Grandma! I can do it myself! If you keep helping me, when will I be able to walk like Mom? Liona must be strong!" protested Liona in her adorable toddler lisp.
Seeing her serious expression and firm words spoken in a lisp, Atri’s shoulders shook violently as she tried to hold back her laughter. Her granddaughter was indeed very adorable.
Not wanting her granddaughter to get upset and cry, Atri tried hard to control herself. "Yes, Grandma’s granddaughter is indeed great and brave. Come on, Liona, you can do it!" she said, clenching one hand beside her body to encourage her enthusiastically.
"Go Liona! I know you can do it!" shouted Januar, clapping his hands.
Seeing Liona looking so enthusiastic and determined, everyone clapped their hands and shouted words of encouragement to the little baby. The atmosphere became very lively and warm.
Several people passing by heard the unusual commotion coming from Arto’s house and stopped to look on with curiosity.
In the middle of the yard, everyone could see a chubby little toddler learning to walk towards her mother with adorable little steps. Meanwhile, the rest of the family cheered her on from the side of the garden with great excitement.
Seeing this, everyone who passed by and peeked at the excitement felt warm and amused, so they chuckled when they saw Liona fall but get back up to continue her struggle to walk towards her mother without crying at all.
While staying at her grandmother’s house, Liona’s body developed rapidly due to the formula milk she had started consuming, so that no one would have guessed that the baby learning to walk was only five months old because her body shape was almost similar to that of a one-year-old toddler.
Liona, who was encouraged by her family members, tried to show the best of herself with determination.
Duumm... Duumm... Duumm...
Laus and his three children, who had just turned towards Arto’s house, saw a crowd in front of his father-in-law’s fence, and he frowned in surprise.
"What’s going on? Why is it so crowded in front of my father-in-law’s house? Is there an event?" he wondered, slowing down his motorcycle.
Because there were many people in front of the house, Laus parked his motorcycle carefully outside. Together with his three impatient children, he politely pushed through the crowd.
"Excuse me..." said Laus as he greeted the neighbors.
As soon as Laus and his three children entered, Liona arrived in Lura’s arms after successfully completing half a lap with great effort.
Cheers erupted, not only from family members but also from impromptu spectators who were delighted to see the chubby, beautiful baby successfully complete her mission.
Hearing the low, joyful voices, Arto and his family turned towards the gate where several neighbors had come to watch, as well as his son-in-law and three grandsons who seemed to have just arrived, their faces full of longing.
"Eh, why are there suddenly so many people? When did they arrive?" everyone thought, surprised and embarrassed.
Arto and his family were too focused on Liona that they didn’t realize their family’s excitement had attracted the interest of passing neighbors, who came to watch enthusiastically.
"Is this Mrs. Atri’s granddaughter? She’s so beautiful and healthy!" greeted the neighbors enthusiastically.
"Yes, it’s amazing that she didn’t cry even though she fell several times. What a strong child!" said another neighbor admiringly.
"Wow, after this, Mrs. Atri won’t be able to go anywhere because her granddaughter definitely can’t be left alone for even a moment now that she has started walking like this. She will definitely be very busy watching her!" said another neighbor with a smile.
Atri responded to her neighbors’ greetings with a warm smile, while Liona was now playing with her three older siblings, who had immediately gathered around her with overflowing love and longing.
