Playboy: Medical and Martial Master-Chapter 251: The Eagle Escapes Its Cage!
Amidst the billowing dust and smoke, Leng Yueshuang was a vision of fierce beauty. She wore a black, form-fitting jumpsuit, her long hair tied back in a ponytail that whipped in the wind. Her slender, tall figure was a breathtaking silhouette in the hazy air, and her eyes held a chillingly sharp glint that no one dared to meet directly.
She was like a goddess of death who had clawed her way out of hell—detached from the mortal coil, yet walking among men, responsible for harvesting ugly souls. She stepped over the fallen door panel and entered the room with unhurried grace. As she moved into the light, her exquisitely beautiful and cold face was revealed in full.
Sun Zhe stared dazedly at her striking and beautiful figure, a flicker of light gradually returning to his bewildered eyes.
...
At this moment, Leng Yueshuang's expression had turned glacially cold. When she had first burst through the door and witnessed Han Xinyue straddling Sun Zhe, she had felt a pain like a knife twisting in her heart.
"Vile woman!" she roared, her eyes brimming with murderous intent. Her slender hands swept to her waist, and two small, gleaming knives whistled through the air.
Han Xinyue, who was already on her feet, was terrified. She didn't even have time to pull down her short skirt, and she scrambled to the side, exposing her stocking-clad backside as she narrowly dodged the two projectiles.
Just then, Leng Yueshuang crouched low, her hands flashing down to pull two daggers from her boots. She then kicked off the floor, her lithe, sexy figure launching forward like an arrow loosed from a bowstring, closing the distance to Han Xinyue in the blink of an eye.
The daggers, radiating a terrifying chill, were infused with True Qi. They sliced through the air, leaving a thin trail of light that seemed to cleave space itself as it shot straight for Han Xinyue's throat.
Han Xinyue's heart pounded in terror. Without a moment's hesitation, she leaped backward to dodge, only to slam into the wall. With no other choice, she rolled clumsily across the ground a few times, scrambling past Leng Yueshuang to flee out the door.
She had witnessed Leng Yueshuang's skill and ruthlessness before, during the great fire at the Zhou Family estate. She knew her own limits; she was no match for this woman.
THUNK!
In the next instant, a flying knife seemed to appear out of nowhere, embedding itself in her back. She cried out in pain, shot a glare back at Leng Yueshuang, and then fled in a panic.
Leng Yueshuang didn't pursue her. Instead, she rushed to Sun Zhe's side, infused a massive amount of True Qi into her dagger, and forcibly shattered the iron chains binding his hands and feet.
"Are you all right?" Her voice trembled, tinged with tears, as she looked at the haggard and weak Sun Zhe.
He turned to look at her, his gaze filled with tenderness. "Shuang'er, thank you for coming to save me."
Leng Yueshuang quickly looked away, as if afraid she would melt under his gentle gaze. She was about to help him up when her eyes fell downward. A blush instantly bloomed across her cheeks, and she hastily reached out to pull up his pants, covering his still-damp and unsightly erection.
Sun Zhe gave an awkward smile and used the armrests of the chair to push himself to his feet. "How did you find me?"
"Wang Feng came to me that night and said you'd fallen into Han Xinyue's hands," Leng Yueshuang said, helping him toward the door. "I've been searching for you these past few days. I finally had someone hack their surveillance system and learned you were being held in the Zhou Mansion."
Hearing this, Sun Zhe looked up at the security camera on the ceiling and smiled. "Then I really have this camera to thank."
But just as the words left his mouth, Leng Yueshuang, who was supporting him, suddenly stopped. She stared cautiously toward the doorway. Sun Zhe followed her gaze and saw Han Xinyue, who had just fled in disarray, now blocking their path.
And beside Han Xinyue stood another graceful figure in a fluttering dress.
It was Yao Rao.
Leng Yueshuang's heart grew heavy as she stared at Yao Rao. While investigating Sun Zhe's whereabouts, she had learned that Yao Rao was in Yang City. She also knew it was Yao Rao herself who had injured and captured Sun Zhe that night. Furthermore, she knew she was completely outmatched.
So this Zhou Mansion is truly a dragon's pool and a tiger's den! But for his sake, I'd charge in even if I knew it was.
"I'll hold her off. You find a chance to escape. Don't take the elevator," Leng Yueshuang said to Sun Zhe in the heavy silence. She then pushed him aside and, dagger in hand, shot toward Yao Rao.
Against an expert like the Jade Fox Sect Leader, who was at the Great Perfection of the Nascent Soul Stage, any form of probing was meaningless. Therefore, Leng Yueshuang opened with her deadliest attack.
BANG!
In the next moment, however, a palm strike from Yao Rao had already landed on her chest. Her unstoppable charge came to an abrupt halt. Then, like a kite with a snapped string, she was sent flying backward, a spray of blood arcing through the air before she crashed heavily into the wall.
"Shuang'er!" Sun Zhe cried out, his eyes wide with shock as he rushed over to help her up.
Leng Yueshuang wiped the crimson from the corner of her mouth and glared at him. "I told you, don't worry about me!" With that, she shoved him away forcefully, preparing to charge again.
All she could think about was carving a path for Sun Zhe, even if it cost her life!
But in the next instant, Sun Zhe wrapped his arms tightly around her.
"What are you doing? Let me go!"
Sun Zhe didn't answer. He slipped one arm under her knees and lifted her into his arms. At the same time, he mobilized the last remaining sliver of True Qi in his body. It was the same True Qi he had converted from the Yin Essence he'd just absorbed from Han Xinyue. It wasn't much, but it was the lifeline he desperately needed.
"Let go of me!" Leng Yueshuang yelled, pounding on his shoulder.
He ignored her still, his eyes fixed on Yao Rao blocking the doorway. A faint smile played on his lips. "Sect Leader Yao, thank you for your hospitality these past few days. I will be sure to remember it. The future is long, and I'm sure our paths will cross again."
With that, his gaze hardened. He turned toward the window and, without the slightest hesitation, leaped out, still holding Leng Yueshuang.
"Sun Zhe!" Han Xinyue shrieked, her eyes widening in horror as she scrambled toward the window.
Her own eyes turning red, she leaned out, but all she could see was Sun Zhe's blurred silhouette being swallowed by the night, as if he had simply evaporated from the world.
This was the top floor of the Zhou Mansion—over thirty stories high! A fall from such a height would smash even a legendary Martial Artist of the Spirit Gathering Stage to pieces. She couldn't bear to imagine the scene, and her delicate body began to tremble uncontrollably.
"Sun Zhe... why are you so foolish?"
...
...
As they plummeted through the air, Leng Yueshuang felt the world go silent. She clung tightly to Sun Zhe's neck, her mind suddenly flooded with memories. Her entire past flashed before her eyes like a revolving lantern. She knew that the moment they hit the ground, it would all vanish.
Master, Senior Sister, all my dear junior brothers and sisters... they'll all be gone for good. But... to die with you in the end, to have you here with me... I have no regrets.
She stopped thinking, tilting her head back to look at Sun Zhe's calm, handsome profile. A faint smile touched her lips. Slowly, she closed her eyes, hugging his neck even tighter, wanting only to melt into his warm, solid chest and wait for death together.
But in the next moment, she felt their descent suddenly slow. Then, as if her body had broken free from gravity itself, they began to rise toward the sky.
Her eyes flew open. She stared at the pair of wings—one black, one white, both formed from True Qi—that had sprouted from Sun Zhe's back. Her beautiful eyes sparkled with incredulous amazement.
How many secrets is this man hiding? He actually has wings? He can fly!
"Sun Zhe... what is this..."
Sun Zhe glanced down at her, his face contorting in agony. He forced the words out, "This is my first time flying... I can't... hold on... for long!"
Hearing this, Leng Yueshuang's expression darkened. She hurriedly said, "Then you have to hold on! I don't want to die, and I especially don't want to die with you!"
A bitter look crossed Sun Zhe's face. "But someone just said she had no regrets about dying with me."
Leng Yueshuang's face instantly turned scarlet. "You... you heard that?"
She thought he wouldn't be able to hear her during the freefall, which was the only reason she dared to say something so shameless.
Sun Zhe took a deep breath, using every ounce of his strength to maintain the Yin Yang Wings as he desperately glided toward a distant swimming pool.
"Shuang'er."
Her face flushed. "Don't... don't call me that. Just focus on flying."
Gritting his teeth, Sun Zhe called out again, "Shuang'er."
"What?"
"For the rest of my life," he said, "I'll protect you."
Her beautiful eyes trembled. She stared at him, stunned, as her vision began to swim with tears. But in the next moment, her expression changed completely, and she buried her face in his chest.
"Just keep flying and don't get distracted! I don't want to be splattered into a million pieces."
"You'd still be beautiful even if you were smashed to pieces," he said.
In response, she pinched his arm.
"Ow, that hurts! You dare pinch me in a situation like this? Do you really want us to crash?"
"Sun Zhe, please... I'm sorry, okay?"
"Then give me a kiss."
"Scram."
