Playing With Other Supernaturals-Chapter 1390: Volume 19 - Guests
Chapter 1390 - Volume 19 Chapter 1390 Guests
"I wasn't sure if you two were going to receive my message, but I'm glad that you're here," Kisuke started first as he walked toward his two invited guests.
But the two didn't reply to him and instead just stared at each other.
Kisuke understood how they were feeling, and he was also gauging how much they knew each other, so he just let them do what they wanted. 'I doubt they'd reveal anything on their faces, but I should at least be able to pick up a few hints. Especially Kanzaki-san... If he's really who I think he is, then I'm looking forward to his reaction.'
Contrary to his expectations, Kisuke wasn't able to get anything substantial from their silent interaction, and the first one to break the silence was the young, handsome man with slightly long black hair and eyes veiled in a mysterious aura, Mitsuya Kanzaki. "How did you do it?"
Kisuke smiled and asked back, "Hmm? Do what?"
"You hid our presence, and even though I'm standing in front of her, I can't feel her presence at all..." Mitsuya then looked down at the ground before adding, "Was it our shadows?"
Kisuke's smile grew deeper. "Is that what the voice in your head told you?"
For the first time, Mitsuya's expression broke, and his eyes widened in shock.
Kisuke guessed what he was thinking, so he added while shrugging his shoulders, "Just a lucky guess. But thank you for making it easier for me. I was getting worried that you wouldn't reveal anything."
'Is this the same way Regalzeva failed to notice him?' Seraselbes, in the appearance of her [Shrine Maiden], had absolutely no idea what they were talking about. She also noticed that something was hiding her presence, but she couldn't point it out even after looking around closely.
Mitsuya was about to say something when Kisuke interrupted, "Hold on. Before you continue, isn't this tiring? Can you keep this up?"
"It's actually pretty tiring. Hold on. Let me set a boundary instead of individual encapsulation." Kisuke closed his eyes for a few seconds, and Seraselbes could finally feel Mitsuya's presence, including the other invited guests inside the shop.
"So we're not the only ones," Mitsuya muttered. When he was walking toward this place, he was sure that it was only Kisuke and Riveria who were present.
"This could last for a few hours. The only downside is that my and Riveria's presence are also masked, so it won't take long before someone notices that something is wrong."
Seraselbes looked around before her body started transforming once again, revealing her real appearance and aura. Although it was just her clone, it was still her real essence, so it caused a commotion inside the shop.
Seraselbes, however, didn't care about them since she could trust Kisuke. She was more curious as to why the young man in front of her was still acting casual. 'He already knows about me... But I have little to no information about him. Why did he call us here?'
Mitsuya also ignored what was happening inside Kisuke's shop and asked, "So how did you know?"
"First, you're the only one who noticed that it has something to do with the shadow," Kisuke answered while conjuring a table and seats for the three of them. "I just happen to know that there are only two people aside from me who can feel this particular strain of energy. You couldn't feel it, but you were still able to point it out. I can only imagine that someone else told you about it."
Mitsuya was intrigued and sat down after being invited. "I see..."
"And I only know one person who can attach their consciousness to someone else."
Seraselbes also sat down, but upon hearing Kisuke's words, she froze for a moment before glaring at Mitsuya and releasing a bit of her killing intent.
Kisuke raised his hand to stop Seraselbes and continued, "But I have reasons to believe that she's not the one whispering in your head." He then took out a tea set and some snacks.
Seraselbes frowned and became even more lost. 'I guess I just have to listen for now,' she thought while grabbing the cup of tea for herself.
Mitsuya, meanwhile, remained calm and said, "Hoo? As expected of you, Urahara Kisuke. Do you mind if I ask for those reasons?"
This time, Kisuke was a bit surprised. "Oh? You're not even going to deny it?"
Mitsuya also grabbed his teacup and said, "I came here to discuss some important things with you, and it might cause a misunderstanding if I keep hiding my identity. I was actually surprised that you invited me today... Not to mention with a VVIP."
"I see. Then that makes things a lot easier." Kisuke gauged Seraselbes' reaction before continuing. When he found that she wouldn't do anything drastic, he inwardly sighed in relief. "I became suspicious of you when you suddenly started ordering several Soul Gears through different channels."
Mitsuya took a sip of his tea and was visibly uncomfortable. "You noticed that? But even then, that shouldn't be enough to sound the alarms."
"We were just taking note of your general movements... Though that's also another point of suspicion."
"...How?"
"It was hard to track you, but when we used certain people, you were able to avoid them completely... As if you knew very well how they do things."
Mitsuya became quiet and could see where Kisuke was going.
"Coincidentally, all of those failed tracks came from the operatives that usually work in Etoulde territories."
"But that's still not enough for you to draw any conclusions, is it?"
Kisuke chuckled. "Of course not. The breakthrough came when I decided to mess with the powersuits and equipment that Yoruichi gathered from when she went on a shopping spree and ended up buying a ship."
A translucent screen appeared in front of Kisuke, showing the various data he extracted from that equipment. Seraselbes, however, noticed that one of them was not like the rest. Compared to the other entries, the data from it was lacking, but it was the most technologically advanced. "Hmmm? I'm not familiar with that one."
Kisuke had already expected that Seraselbes would notice this, and he was just watching Mitsuya's reaction. The small changes in his expression made Kisuke happy, and he added, "Yep... This one is yours. The powersuit you use whenever you activate both of your Balance Breakers at the same time."
"...And what of it?"
Kisuke took down the screen. "You see, engineers and researchers like us enjoy correlating things when we don't have enough information to use. Your powersuit and the powersuits that are being used in Evie Etoulde territories are essentially different. However, there are several points on the graph that suggest they use the same underlying and fundamental technologies, with the only difference being that yours seems to be several generations ahead."

"And if I assume that you're the one who delivered Gasper Vladi's message to Ajuka Beelzebub, then a lot of things would make sense."
