Plugged In: I got Isekai'd into a Sexbot (Now I Must Save The World)-Chapter 77: Gems, Gossips, and the Golden Prince
Chapter 77: Gems, Gossips, and the Golden Prince
The midday sun hangs lazily overhead, beating down on the rooftops of Husk Horn like a drunkard pounding a tavern table. A breeze tries to slither through the narrow streets but barely stirs the air as it reaches the porch of a small but charmingly crooked house.
The porch creaks beneath the weight of rest and heat.
Vuvi and Veena sit at a makeshift reception desk, really just an old writing desk propped on two crates, fanning themselves slowly with decorative hand-fans they won in a card game two towns ago.
Penelo lies sprawled across the floorboards in a dramatic pose of defeat, groaning, "I’m melting..."
Ka’Lula sits beside her, legs swinging back and forth as she sips a bottle of local fizzy fruit soda. "You said that yesterday," she chirps.
Penelo whines louder.
Two small children pass the property and come to a full stop. They stare at Ka’Lula with wide eyes and dropped jaws.
The boy, cheeks red, blurts out, "You’re the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen!"
Ka’Lula gasps, touched. She skips over to him and scoops the blushing boy into a firm, chesty hug. His eyes nearly pop from his head.
She giggles, digs between her breasts, and pulls out a large, sparkling ruby the size of a plum. The kids’ eyes widen in pure wonder.
"Here," she says sweetly, pressing the gem into the girl’s hands. "Don’t spend it all in one place."
Veena leaps out of her chair. "Stop giving away priceless gems!"
Ka’Lula pouts. "But she’s cute!"
Vuvi just chuckles. "Let her enjoy herself. We’re practically swimming in treasure."
Veena sighs, already imagining the local economy crumbling.
The door to the house creaks open. A woman stumbles out with stars in her eyes and a dopey grin stretched across her face. Her legs wobble. Her clothes are wrinkled. Her hair is a mess of joyous chaos.
She looks at Vuvi and Veena and lifts a trembling thumb. "Thank you," she breathes. "Best... day... ever."
Veena lifts a brow. "That’s the same thing you said yesterday."
"And I’ll say it tomorrow, too," the woman says, giggling. "He’s just too good!"
Penelo springs to her feet and wraps a towel around the woman’s shoulders. "Careful on the stairs now."
The woman reaches the last step, flings the towel off dramatically, and raises her arms to the heavens. "Thank the Great Mother for delivering unto us this golden salvation!"
She cackles with laughter and skips down the street like a giddy schoolgirl.
Pip steps out onto the porch and strikes a shining pose, arms akimbo, light glinting off his polished golden frame. He emits a proud beep.
Vuvi slaps him on the back. "You’ve earned your break."
Pip’s eyes brighten like lanterns. He grabs Vuvi’s hands and pulls her along.
"Hey... wait... what are you—!"
He leads her straight to the town square and crashes through the swinging doors of the local pub.
Inside, chaos reigns... but not the bad kind.
The joyful kind.
Sera lounges on a barstool, sipping lazily from a frosted mug of beer, eyes half-lidded in contentment.
Zora stands at the center of the room, arms flared, cloak billowing despite the lack of wind. With flourishes of his fingers, he conjures shapes of golden light... vivid reenactments of Pip’s greatest victories.
"And with but a whisper," Zora intones, "the Golden Prince sent the centaur princess into howling pleasure, her cries heard across the Green Sea!"
The crowd gasps. Magic sound effects boom. A floating illusion of Pip flexes gallantly, surrounded by fluttering hearts and roses.
Women swoon. Men cheer. Even the barmaid leans forward, biting her lip.
Vuvi, frozen in the doorway, blinks. "What..."
Sera raises her mug and calls out, "Pleasure Prince! You’re late to your own legend!"
The crowd turns in unison. Then comes the chorus of squeals.
Pip is swarmed.
Veena darts through the chaos and plops onto the stool beside Sera. "You enjoying this?"
"Oh immensely," Sera grins, raising her mug.
Vuvi fights her way through the swarm of women, dragging Penelo by the arm. "Back! Back, I say!"
Lula flutters just behind them, arms crossed, her pout practically weaponized. "No one’s allowed to touch Pip without permission!"
The crowd ignores her.
She growls, deep in her throat. Then...
"ENOUGH!"
Her voice booms through the pub, rattling mugs and shaking rafters. Every woman in the room freezes in place.
Ka’Lula clears her throat politely. "Please step back from my Prince. Thank you."
The crowd sheepishly disperses.
The team gathers at the bar, sipping drinks and enjoying the brief peace. Pip leans on the counter, emitting soft, cheerful tones.
Sera gives him a sultry glance. "Have I mentioned how much I appreciated last night?"
Veena rolls her eyes. "Get a room."
"We did," Sera purrs. "And it was mind-blowing."
Penelo slumps on the counter. "I still can’t even look at his goodies without fainting..."
Ka’Lula chuckles. "You poor thing."
Vuvi waves over the barmaid. "Drinks. For everyone."
The barmaid smiles and pours a fresh round.
Sera leans toward her. "Tell them what you told me."
The woman’s smile falters.
"There’s a noble," she says softly. "Lives on the hill just north of town. Has three daughters. He fell into a curse about a year ago... won’t speak, won’t move, just sits on his throne."
Ka’Lula gasps. "Like... forever?"
"The daughters have been searching for help ever since. They offer huge rewards to anyone who can break it."
Vuvi groans. "Nope. Don’t care. Don’t wanna know."
Veena raises a brow. "But it sounds—"
"I said no!" Vuvi shouts. "We’re not doing another cursed noble side quest!"
The team stares at her.
She slumps back, finishes her drink, and slams the mug on the bar.
"Why do I even bother?" she groans. "...Fine!"
Cheers erupt.
"You’re a saint," Penelo says.
"A hero," Zora adds, tossing a conjured rose in Vuvi’s direction.
"Shut up," Vuvi mutters. "And barmaid, don’t you dare mention any more damsels in distress."
The woman salutes with a smirk.
------
Later that afternoon...
The team returns to their pleasure house.
The sun begins to sink, casting golden light across the rooftops.
Veena taps Pip on the shoulder. "Break’s over. Ready for round two?"
Pip stands tall, giving a dramatic nod. His body glows faintly as he activates prep mode.
Ka’Lula and Penelo pounce instantly.
"I’m giving the oil rub this time!" Penelo shouts.
"No way! He needs dragon hands to activate his core properly!"
"His what?!"
Sera lounges on the porch, sighing blissfully. "I don’t care what you do to him, just let me book him for tomorrow."
Inside the house, another evening of pleasure, purpose, and Pip awaits.
But above the village, in the darkening sky, a different presence begins to stir...
