Pokemon: The Gameboy Effect-Chapter 574: The Final Battle
Giratinaβs stats were absolutely luxurious, whether individual values, moveset, or held items. π³ππ²ππ πππ»πΌπ§π²π₯.πππ¦
Well, actually, scratch that last part.
From obtaining the Adamant Sphere and Lustrous Sphere from Dialga and Palkia, John had assumed Giratina would possess the Griseous Sphere.
But it didnβt.
Comparing it to Zoroark and Gengar, this guy who literally hid a "world" inside its belly, Gengar was perfect for spatial creation. Fine. Giratina didnβt need it normally anyway. Gengar could carry the Griseous Sphere for training instead.
Just imagine, if you had a space that didnβt contain any living beings, with a range the same size as the real world as your base, how amazing would that be?
This time, no building a villa, building a straight-up castle!
BOOM!
Dialga and Palkia were still locked in their berserk combat.
Dazzling energy beams clashed violently.
Without any restraint whatsoever.
As space and time collided, the entire Mount Coronet plains area had already warped, and the distortion was still spreading outward. Before long, this place would end up like Sendoff Spring, trapped in a space-time rift.
"Alright, time to wrap this up."
Setting down the Griseous Sphere and placing the Pokeball containing Giratina into his bag, John looked ahead and ran his fingertips across the Pokeballs at his side, selecting which Pokemon to deploy next.
What exactly had made Dialga and Palkia fall into madness?
He didnβt know yet.
But Giratina had already been captured.
If he captured Palkia and Dialga afterward, would those two still be this crazy?
Forget it. Better not overthink it. First, capture those two, then specifically ask Giratina what happened when he got back. If that didnβt work, heβd just let Dialga and Palkia be gate guardians, standing watch over his in-game warehouse.
Then return to reality and grab another pair of Dialga and Palkia.
After recalling Zoroark with a Pokeball, John pulled out two more to release.
The Pokemon that appeared were Garchomp and Urshifu.
All five Pokemon immediately sprang into action.
Using temporal power to cloud Palkiaβs vision, using spatial power to distort Dialgaβs perception, then building barriers with Fairy energy, and finally adding psychic manipulation on top.
In just a moment, Dialga and Palkia, whoβd been fighting furiously, immediately lost track of their targets.
All they could sense now were the Pokemon appearing before their eyes.
The Pokemon before Palkiaβs eyes was Mega Gardevoir.
As a Water/Dragon-type Pokemon, Palkiaβs only weaknesses were Dragon-type and Fairy-type moves. Johnβs plan for dealing with it was simple, use the newly obtained Lustrous Sphere to enhance temporal power, then dodge Palkiaβs attacks with Future Sight, and finally strike with the Pixie Plate for maximum damage.
Mega Gardevoir split off a separate battlefield.
Leaving Greninja (John form), Mega Gengar, Urshifu, and Mega Garchomp (Crimson Orb) to face Dialga.
Greninja had mastered aura power, making it essentially half Fighting-type. But John chose it over the Fighting-type Blaziken because Greninja was more flexible, it could stay at range and just unleash Water Shuriken for long-distance strikes.
Conducting ranged attacks alongside Greninja was Mega Gengar. Although Ghost-type didnβt have a type advantage against Dialga either, by borrowing the Plateβs power, even without super-effective damage, Gengarβs attacks would still pack a serious punch.
Combine that with Shadow Clone.
What looked like two Pokemon were actually three artillery positions set up.
To keep the long-range assault stable, naturally they needed close-combat disruption.
Garchomp was chosen because it had Ground-type, giving it a natural type advantage. Since that was the case, John couldnβt waste it. To boost its strength, he specially pulled out the Crimson Orb from his bag and fused it into Garchompβs body before MEGA Evolution.
Four Pokemon rapidly engaged Dialga.
Two massive battlefields fought simultaneously!
