President Qin's Little Wife Is The Strongest-Chapter 157: X-Ray Eyes
The room was empty!
Rong Yue groaned internally but didn't abandon her act as she looked at the number on her tray and then at the door again.
The attendant next door asked her kindly, "Mistake?"
"Hmmm, I thought this was where I was coming to, the order is simple and didn't look like it was placed by one of us," she explained quickly.
Since the attendants and the waitresses were all staff, their relationships weren't bad and she was able to get away.
She took the order to the correct room and walked back to get another order.
This time, she was starting to get frustrated. Even with her speed, about seven minutes had been wasted already.
Just before she entered the operation room, Rong Yue heard something that made her stop and slow down, "The rush is too much, the sixth floor is literally empty,"
"As the sixth floor was out of commission, most of them can't afford the seventh floor and come here instead." Another person said.
Rong Yue entered and said with an exhausted sigh. "The hallways are all completely full, if it wasn't for the soundproof rooms, perhaps, our guests would be completely disappointed today,"
The man at the bar kissed his teeth as he glared at her. "You came late and you are still having the guts to complain??"
"You think it's easy running around with an upset stomach? I'm even afraid that if I lose control, I'll spoil the room for the guests,"
Upon hearing that, the manager that was slouched at the back shot up from his seat.
"You! Hurry and go back out, find a way to make sure your stomach is okay, and come back inside later." The sixth floor manager said hurriedly.
Rong Yue showed a hesitant look, not moving her legs to make them think she still wanted to work, but the manager got even more furious. "Quick leave! Don't ruin the air for us here too."
After hearing that, she then nodded and stepped away.
Instead of leaving the fifth floor, Rong Yue rushed to the toilet on the floor and made some changes to her looks.
Also, the card she was holding onto was useless on the sixth floor so she had to find another solution.
"There's only one way," Rong Yue mumbled as she climbed out of the toilet using one of the stall's windows. She carefully got outside and then held her weight with the window's frame.
Little by little, she pushed herself up. Her target was the sixth floor's washroom.
If she was able to get herself inside there, she would try to find another waitress to swap. But from what she had heard, she doubted that there was even anyone working on the floor this evening.
If that was the case, she would change back to the top she had underneath and would wear it with the skirt that she was on her.
The Viridian was a large place and the gap between each floor was even larger than what other work buildings used to have.
Just on climbing up, she spent about twenty minutes, making half of her time gone.
She vowed within her heart to show Qin Yichen enough trouble for what she had gone through.
"He would cook all my meals all through college!" She swore internally.
Finally, she climbed into the toilet on the sixth floor.
The option of searching using the windows had crossed her mind but the windows used in the Viridian were spy-proof which meant that unless one opened it, there was nothing that could make one see through them.
"Master! You can use the X-Ray eyes!" An excited voice rang out in her head.
Rong Yue paused, her hand on the doorknob freezing as she thought about it.
"Activate X-ray eyes!" She said decisively as she opened the door.
The hallways were empty and quiet. A sharp contrast from the fifth floor and it was also easy to see the sharp contrast between the decorations and the amount of money that had been spent on this floor.
With the X-ray eyes activated, she was able to easily see through each room.
Since she started from the toilet at the end of the hallway, she walked past the inner rooms first, and by the time she got to the fourth private room.
Rong Yue paused, looking at that familiar shirt and head full of black hair.
Her shoulders sagged with a little relief and her eyes teared up a little.
It had been a gamble but she eventually found him here.
"Qin Yichen," Rong Yue mumbled, looking at the man that was passed out on the couch.
There was another man in front of him, with a mask on. Other than the two of them, the room was completely empty, and even the table had just one bottle of wine and two glass cups.
Was he dead? Asleep? Poisoned?
With the way he was leaning against the couch arm, slouched and out of composure, she ruled out the possibility that he was sleeping.
She waited a while more, observing the room and observing the situation inside.
But even after three minutes, there was no movement from either party.
The masked man was seated casually and seemed to be waiting for something or someone.
His eyes would also occasionally drift towards Qin Yichen that was across him.
Rong Yue took a deep breath before bending down and pulling out two knives that she had hidden in her boots.
With the knives in hand, she pushed the door open with one kick fierce kick. Her hands worked at the same time and shot a dagger at the masked man's leg.
Even with the large noise that the door banging made, Qin Yichen didn't stir at all and Rong Yue's brows crinkled with worry upon seeing that.
Her eyes turned to the masked man as she looked at him with cold and unfeeling eyes, "If you have harmed him, prepare to lose your life too!"
She rushed to Qin Yichen while the masked man pulled out the dagger at his ankle.
"Who are you?" The man asked, eyeing the uniform on Rong Yue.
Her English was fluent but he could still pick the eastern traces in it.
"All you need to know is that I'm here to bring him away," she replied, at the same time, she already stayed in front of Qin Yichen while picking a fighting stance.
