President's Daughter's Bodyguard-Chapter 83: War In The Blood
Chapter 83: War in the Blood
Theo didn’t remember standing...he didn’t remember grabbing the phone from the table. His brain only registered the moment it cracked in his fist like glass under pressure.
The pieces fell to the floor, and a tiny cut opened on his palm, a bead of blood bloomed there.
His breath came in violent pulls. The image of Danielle tied to that chair... the bomb blinking on her chest... Ethan smiling...
Theo’s pulse hammered so hard he thought his veins would burst.
But behind him, a slow clapping echoed in the room.
"You really are my son."
Theo turned around to see how Zack entered the lounge as if strolling into a celebration instead of a crisis.
"So." Zack moved closer, and placed his hands neatly behind his back. "What is the plan, my boy? Will you kill your brother to save the girl? The world loves a tragic romance."
Theo’s jaw flexed. "Do not call Ethan my brother."
Zack enjoyed that. His smile deepened. "Family is not a thing you can deny with a word. He is your blood. Just like you are mine."
Theo stepped away, breathing in and out hardly. "I do not have time for your games. I need to call Frank." 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
"Permission denied." He walked past Theo, straightening a flower vase as if nothing truly important was happening. "You will not kill the president yet. The timing is poor. The symbolism weak and execution requires discipline and art."
Theo’s vision blurred for a heartbeat, red consumed everything. Danielle’s cracked voice played inside his mind.
Zack continued calmly. "You will sit and will think... And you will wait for my call."
But Theo was done with this bullshit. He had no time to think...
"Ethan knows that I’m alive, did you tell him?"
"Yes. I had to inform him that he failed again."
"So that’s why he’s involing me and the president...knowing if I attacked the president-I would get killed."
"Yes. That is correct."
His hand shot out and grabbed the gun tucked under Zack’s blazer. He didn’t even hesitate to hurt him and a single shot exploded into the air.
"Aqaaahhhh!" Zack’s scream was furious, as he collapsed to one knee. Blood seeped through his pant leg, staining the expensive fabric.
Theo pressed the gun barrel between Zack’s eyes, no ice were colder than his tone. "Next time it will not be your leg."
For the first time that day, Zack’s smile vanished. His eyes narrowed in a deadly glare.
"You forget your place."
"I am making my place." Theo bent in, the hatred poured from him like fire. "Give me permission to leave... Now."
Zack chuckled through the pain, breath was a bit shaky but mocking. "Ah yes. There he is. The real Hale...Very well...You have it. Go save your little love."
Theo shoved him back and sprinted out of the room. He found the first maid in the hallway and ripped the phone from her hands. "Give me that."
The maid startled, nodding frantically. Theo already dialed the number.
Frank answered before the second ring. "Theo. Thank God. I saw the broadcast. We do not have much time."
"I know." Theo pushed through the mansion doors, breath quick and savage. "I am coming to you. We are moving now."
"No." Frank’s sounded commanding. "We have your location. Stay put. My men will pick you up."
"The hell I will stay here." Theo reached the garage and jumped into his car. He turned the engine and pressed the phone to his shoulder. "Danielle does not have much time. I am going to Elias."
"You cannot," Frank snapped. "He is not in Germanya."
Theo’s mouth opened..."What...it’s been like three or four days since the kidnapping..."
"He is still overseas on the political tour. We are trying to contact him but communication is scrambled."
Theo gripped the wheel until his knuckles whitened. "Where is he exactly."
"We only know he is heading back but his route is classified. The palace is empty."
Theo’s brain raced through every option like lightning. "Ethan wants me to kill him. Which means Ethan knows where he is."
Frank cursed under his breath. "We will trace Ethan’s feed. We are close. But Theo, listen to me. You cannot walk into a public assassination trap. That is what he wants. He is trying to break you."
Theo closed his eyes for a second. Danielle’s tears flashed behind them.
He whispered, "She needs me."
Frank’s voice softened but stayed confident. "And she will have you. But if you fall into Ethan’s hand, she dies faster. Trust me. Trust the team. We are coming."
Theo’s heart punched against his ribs. Waiting felt like murder.
Frank kept speaking. "We already have coordinates narrowing within a five kilometer radius. We are moving troops, and we will send a helicopter for you as soon as you get out of the Hale grounds."
Theo sped the car forward, wheels screeched on the pavement. "I am done being locked in cages. I am going to Danielle whether you are with me or not."
"We are with you," Frank said. "Just do not get yourself killed before we reach you."
Theo hung up and threw the maid’s phone onto the seat beside him.
The trees rushed past like shadows chasing him. He was a bullet fired from a gun. He could feel time choking him, each second kept slicing deeper.
He took a right turn, then another. The gate appeared ahead.
Two Hale guards stepped forward, blocking the exit.
Theo smirked darkly. "Move."
They hesitated, but Theo didn’t. He floored the gas, the car blasted forward like a beast freed from chains. The guards jumped away at the last second, screaming after him.
But Theo was gone.
His next stop: the man who held every answer and every key to saving Danielle. The man who created another madness and nightmares.
"Elias Geiger..."
But as Theo speeded onto the open road, a black SUV pulled out of the forest behind him. Then another from the opposite lane.
The crisp cold voice of the enemy cut through the radio installed in the car.
"Hello, little soldier."
