A week had passed since they started using the draw-lots system.

That morning, in the counselor’s office at Qingbei University—

Wearing heels, semi-rimmed glasses, and a knee-length skirt, Jiang Jingshi sat at her desk. Since there wasn’t much to do that morning, she picked up a small mirror from her desk to examine her complexion.

Her slender, pale fingers gently brushed over her skin. Yesterday’s draw had landed on her again, and she’d spent the whole afternoon with Zheng Zheng doing that.

When she woke up this morning, she felt full of energy, her skin was glowing, and her whole body felt light and refreshed.

“I’ve gotta say, this is incredible… way better than any high-end skincare brand,” she muttered with a slight grin. “Even my teeth look whiter.”

She spoke softly to herself, but the female teacher in the next cubicle overheard her, clearly envious.

“Miss Jiang, I’ve always been curious—what products do you use? Your skin’s always so flawless.”

Jiang Jingshi casually replied, “Nothing special really. I’ve just been trying to get to bed earlier lately, so my condition’s a bit better.”

“Really? Sleeping early works that well?” the teacher asked, intrigued.

Jiang Jingshi knew it definitely wasn’t just that.

It wasn’t just her skin that had improved. Ever since Wenwen and Lili had mentioned what happened with Zheng Zheng last week, she’d been paying close attention—and realized:

Skin texture, energy, muscle fatigue from the previous day, even things like dandruff, foot pain from wearing heels too long, indigestion, lack of appetite, insomnia…

All of it—every little issue—was immediately improved… thanks to that.

Honestly, after she and her three sisters discussed it, they were all shocked. None of them could figure out why it was so effective.

Wenwen had even come up with a theory:

“You think Zhengran-ge might have one of those ‘Pure Yang Bodies’ like in web novels? The kind where girls gain benefits just from being with him? Otherwise, him knowing medicine alone doesn’t explain it—it’s like he’s a living miracle supplement.”

Everyone had agreed that it probably had little to do with medical knowledge. There were plenty of guys out there who knew medicine—none of them had effects like this. Even if Lin Zhengran was a medical genius, this was beyond belief.

Wenwen’s theory actually seemed more on point.

Maybe the term “Pure Yang Body” existed for a reason. Whatever the case, the results spoke for themselves.

Zheng Zheng… really was a one-of-a-kind treasure for girls.

Just thinking about it made Jiang Jingshi miss him already.

She glanced at her phone—Zheng Zheng should still be in class at this time. Maybe she’d go see him.

She picked up some papers and stood up, casually greeting the teacher beside her. “I’m going to check on our class.”

The teacher nodded.

Jiang Jingshi adjusted her glasses and quickened her pace in heels as she made her way toward the large lecture hall where Lin Zhengran had class.

As she neared the room, her steps slowed. Through the window, she peeked in to watch him.

Lin Zhengran wasn’t paying attention to the lecture. As usual, he was reading a book no one else could understand.

Suddenly, her phone rang, startling her. She looked up and saw Zheng Zheng had already spotted her. They shared a soft, slightly awkward smile.

Lin Zhengran smiled back at her from inside.

She picked up the phone, her voice turning a bit more formal. “Hello? What’s up, Pan Lin?”

Pan Lin replied, “Miss Jiang, sorry to bother you—I was going over the personal shopping list you sent me this month. Why did you take off all the skincare and beauty items? I only saw lipstick and eyeshadow… was that a mistake?”

Jiang Jingshi replied with a calm smile, “No mistake. From now on, cut out the skincare stuff. No need to buy any of those expensive products—just stick to what I listed.”

“Oh… okay. But, Miss Jiang, you didn’t fight with President Lin, did you?” Pan Lin was genuinely concerned. It almost felt like Miss Jiang had given up on her beauty routine—which, for a woman, could come across as emotional burnout…

But Jiang Jingshi asked instead, “What are you talking about? Why would I fight with Zheng Zheng? Just do as I said. I’ve just been in great shape lately and don’t think I need all that stuff.”

Relieved by her tone, Pan Lin replied, “Alright then, I understand.”

After hanging up, Jiang Jingshi continued watching Lin Zhengran for a bit longer. To others, it looked like a counselor checking in on discipline.

But to someone inside the class—particularly a certain little sister—it looked more like a lovesick girl stalking her crush.

Jiang Qian’s face remained frosty as she listened to the lecture, but she casually glanced toward the door.

What’s my sister doing here again? Even if Lin Zhengran is her boyfriend, she doesn’t have to keep showing up like this…

She let out a quiet, annoyed snort.

Fang Meng, sitting beside her, had also seen the elegant young lady in the hallway and chuckled.

But not long after, Jiang Jingshi left. As much as she liked watching, she couldn’t linger too long, or people would start noticing.

Only then did Fang Meng quietly say to Jiang Qian, “Qianqian, once I finish investigating Han Wenwen, I’ll have gone through all of them. But Wenwen… she’s not very open to talking, so it might take a bit more time.”

Jiang Qian didn’t say much—just a simple “Mm.”

“No worries. Take your time.”

Fang Meng looked at Jiang Qian’s usual icy expression and noticed a hint of happiness in her eyes. Curious, she asked, “Qianqian, you seem to be in a good mood today?”

Jiang Qian pursed her lips slightly, cheeks flushing pink as she recalled last week’s little surprise. “I’m alright. Anyway, think of a way to talk to Han Wenwen. Once you’re done with all of them, report back to me.”

“Got it, Qianqian. I’ll be quick.”

During the break, over on the other side of the classroom, the three little ones were sitting with Lin Zhengran. Han Wenwen linked arms with He Qing and beamed, “Xiaoqingqing, Lili, wanna hit the restroom together?”

He Qing responded immediately, “Sure!” freewēbnoveℓ.com

Jiang Xueli stood up. “I’ll go too.” The three of them told Lin Zhengran they’d be right back, then headed out together.

Lin Zhengran stayed in his seat, flipping through his book.

Not far away, Jiang Qian was writing notes. After the trio left, she slowly looked up and watched them go.

As expected… I haven’t approached Lin Zhengran in a while, and those three have really let their guard down. Their vigilance has definitely dropped.

Combined with last week’s unexpected event, it looks like Lady Luck is on my side now…

She slowly stood up, long hair flowing, and elegantly made her way across the lecture hall until she stood in front of Lin Zhengran.

“Lin Zhengran.”

He looked up at the voice. “Jiang Qian?”

Jiang Qian’s cold face remained composed, but the slight curl of her fingers betrayed her nerves.

“You still mean what you said last week, right?”

Lin Zhengran smiled. “Of course I do. I owe you one.”

Hearing that, Jiang Qian finally relaxed. The coldness on her face softened. “I told you—you don’t owe me. It’s just a meal. When are you free this week? I’ll make the arrangements.”

“Hmm… how about tonight? I’m free tonight.”

“Tonight? Great! I’ll pick the place. See you tonight, then.”

“See you.”

They looked at each other and shared a small smile.

“I’m off then,” Jiang Qian said briskly before turning to leave, eyes glowing with joy and shyness.

I finally get to go on a date with Lin Zhengran tonight… What should I wear?
