Primordial Ancient Serpent-Chapter 204: Is the Majestic Demon Going to Work?!
Chapter 204 - 204: Is the Majestic Demon Going to Work?!
"Die, Slime!"
As soon as Death's cooldown expired, the Scarlet Demon God immediately logged back in, storming out of the village in a fit of rage. His only goal was to take revenge on those damn slimes.
But just as he rushed out, ready for a fierce battle lasting 300 rounds, a slime spewed a mouthful of green liquid at him. Instantly, he was wiped out and forcibly ejected from the virtual world once more.
"Ahhh! Damn it! Slime, just wait for me! I swear I'll have my revenge!"
The Scarlet Demon God was fuming. Never in his existence had he faced such humiliation. To be killed twice in a row by mere slimes—how could he accept this disgrace?

However, he had severely overestimated his own strength.
The third time he went out, a slime suddenly leaped at him. Two legs sprouted from its gelatinous body, and with a single powerful kick, it sent his head flying. It was a gruesome scene.
The fourth time, he was beaten senseless by a group of slimes. They juggled him mid-air like a marble, their rapid movements leaving countless bloody holes in his body.
The fifth time, a slime dropped from the sky, crushing him to death.
By the sixth attempt, he tried being cautious—hiding in the grass for a sneak attack. But before he could act, a slime lurking nearby swallowed him whole, making him its meal.
And so it continued. He died hundreds of times, each in a different and increasingly bizarre manner. Eventually, he had no choice but to admit the truth—at level zero, he was no match for even a single slime.
"Ahhh! This is driving me mad! Damn you, slimes! Just you wait! When I grow stronger, I'll make you pay! Thirty years in the east, thirty years in the west—never underestimate a poor youth!"
The Scarlet Demon God was seething with rage, his frustration reaching its peak.
Determined, he made a new plan. He would level up inside the village, gather weapons and armor, master martial arts, and eventually return to settle the score with those cursed slimes.
No matter what, he had to kill them. Otherwise, he wouldn't be able to live with himself.
And he wasn't the only one experiencing this torment. Every being that entered this virtual world soon realized one terrifying truth—this place was as merciless as the Underworld.
"Damn it! What kind of insane game is this?!" a Chaos Demon God wailed. "I just wanted to go out and kill a slime, but I was instantly annihilated before I even saw its face!"
"You think that's bad?" another Demon God scoffed bitterly. "I've died thousands of times just trying to kill one! Every single time, I almost succeeded—only to get ambushed by a swarm of nearby slimes!"
This Demon God prided himself as a Great Master of Combat, skilled in countless fighting techniques. Yet none of his skills were effective against the monstrous slimes, and he had been slaughtered in every conceivable way.
The experience had left his psyche deeply scarred.
"I've figured it out!" another Chaos Demon God declared. "Fighting alone is impossible. We need to form a group! Only by working together can we hope to defeat the slimes! Otherwise, we'll never even make it past the village gates!"
"Heh, you think forming a group will help?" someone sneered. "Hundreds of Chaos Demon Gods already tried that. But the moment they attacked, the slimes called for reinforcements—hundreds of them appeared out of nowhere!"
"They flooded the battlefield with venom, bombarded us with projectile attacks, and wiped us out in seconds! It was a complete massacre!"
A Chaos Demon God was practically in tears as he recounted the horrifying experience. He had never imagined that slimes could be so cunning. The moment they sensed defeat, they called their allies for backup, creating a battlefield so overwhelming that even thinking about it made him lose all hope.
"So... do we even have a chance against them?" a Demon God muttered in despair.
"Relax! There is a way to kill them!" another Demon God spoke up. "The secret is assassination. We hide in the grass, strike with a one-hit kill, then flee thousands of miles before Slime Tom and his gang can react!"
"No, no, assassination isn't the only answer!" another argued. "Fighting solo is also possible! If you fight alone, you won't trigger the slimes' group aggression. Of course, it's not easy—you need superior movement skills! Dodge like a serpent, circle around them, kite them, and wear them down slowly!"
Some Demon Gods eagerly discussed their theories on defeating slimes.
"Idiots! None of these strategies are foolproof!" a veteran Demon God snapped. "One mistake, and you're dead!"
"You think assassination works? Are you kidding me? Slimes are the strongest assassins! They can blend into their environment, change colors, and suppress their presence. The moment you lie in the grass, you're already dead—swallowed whole by a camouflaged slime!"
"And your 'serpent-like footwork' is a joke! One misstep, and you're dead! You think you can 'kite' them? That just makes them mad! They'll call hundreds of their brothers and turn you into mincemeat!"
A Demon God cursed loudly, dismissing all their ideas as nonsense.
"Heh, then what do you suggest?" someone challenged.
"Long-range attacks!" the Demon God declared. "Ever heard of a bow and arrow? The blacksmith in town sells them! With a bow, we can kill slimes from a distance! No need for close combat!"
"As long as we get our hands on bows and arrows, we can wear the slimes down from afar. We can finally win!"
"Idiot! Do you even have money for a bow? We're broke!" another mocked.
"Heh. Unlike you fools, I already got a job at the tavern!" the long-range advocate smirked. "I get paid monthly. After covering rent and food, I'll save up and buy a bow within a year!"
"A Demon God... working as a waiter? Have you no shame?!"
"Heh. A true warrior adapts! What's a little shame compared to surviving? Would you rather be slaughtered by slimes hundreds of times? If you won't work for money, you might as well accept eternal defeat!"
The Demon Gods erupted into heated debates.
If this were a game in later generations, it would be notorious for its insane difficulty. A game where even stepping outside the starting village was a death sentence. No sane player would ever touch it.
But for the Demon Gods and other divine beings, this impossible challenge only ignited their fighting spirit.
The harder the battle, the more determined they became.
The more brutal the enemy, the more they hungered for victory.
